I wish I had the time, as I think it'd be fun, but alas, I do not.

@deetsal, welcome to TST!

I don't play hickory golf, but I've seen hickory league players in the St. Louis area.

The local MAGA amateur circuit played at Glen Echo Country Club a couple of years ago.  Behind our MAGA bloc were some hickory stick players, decked out in nickers and long sleeve dress shirts. If they had their drive in the fairway, they launched some high, beautiful approaches with their irons. They played from the Senior tees at 5576 yds., par 71.

At the 2016 PGA Show in Orlando, a hickory stick group let me try out different clubs at their activity station. If I started a hickory bag, my choice for tee shots would be a Brassie.

History buffs: Glen Echo is the oldest country club west of the Mississippi still in its original location. It hosted the Olympic golf matches back in 1904.
