I've been Playing Golf for: 24
My current handicap index or average score is: 14
My typical ball flight is: draw
The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: low pull hooky with driver/long irons or a push shot with shorter irons

Hey guys, finally got round to submitting a video  Hope its watchable. Been playing golf a long time but can go months without playing. Use to play to a good level (6 hcp) and trying to make it out there more often from now on and this is the start of the practice. Always been a tinkerer which is probably my downfall as my swing didn't really use to look like this at the top. The one thing that bugs me is the club shaft being over the line at the top which just exacerbates the over the top move coming down. What I feel I'm doing and what the camera says are two totally different things! However, no matter how hard I try I can't seem to get the club in a good position at the top regardless of whether my first move into the transition is a bit wonky at the moment

Welcome to The Sand Trap. If you have a chance, get a face on view. Below are screen shots at A4, 5, 6 & 7. You are a bit steep coming down and that may contribute to you being outside the hands at A6 (over-the-top). But the fix may be something related to your weight going forward. So a face one would help. Many of us work on reducing the steepness.

Here is a really good thread started on the subject. Your issue may be different than @RandallT, but many of us work on this all the is.

Thanks for the redirect @boogielicious Sympathise with a lot of what everyone else is going through in that thread. Spent the last two sessions reviewing the video and seeing a great position at the top in my practise swinerd and then the real swing just reverts to the same old steep price bet the top path. Bonkers. I’ll keep working on it but it’s a long old process!

It's a pain but keep at it though! When you've hooked it into the woods for the 9th time that day and you're frustrated and not thinking, you'll revert to whatever swing is ingrained the deepest and most unconsciously(?). This is a really good website to join that takes giving credible advice very seriously. Welcome!
