fukin golf, I play 3 times a week, hit balls every day, hit the ball great at the range and on the course. Played a match today and shoot an 84, 3 putts, lost drives. All I have right now is my golf game to make me happy and that can't even happen... what the hell =/ nothin a glass of vodka and a cohiba can't fix but I feel like a piece of shit

I went to see this with my mom and we were LAUGHING OUT LOUD, through the entire movie. The acting was horrible and whoever wrote the script is a complete moron.. Movie really is a good laugh simply because it is so bad Some of the golf scenes were cool though

20+ handicappers hitting 300 yards (mild rant)

There is simply no way, I'm sorry but until I meet a 20 handicapper that can hit the ball that far I will assume they are all full of shit. I'm 6'5 295 and very muscular, 12 handicapper, and I can't hit the ball near 300 and I hit quite a bit further than most people that I know. /end of thread...will you guys quit arguing It is impossible to hit the ball 300 yards without properly lagging the club head through impact. If you are properly lagging the golf club through impact, you should be under AT HIGHEST a 10 handicap. If you're not you're lying, or just don't know. end of story -
Is there a penalty for rage during match play?
tanktwo2 replied to JerseyThursday's topic in Golf Talk
It's really annoying playing with someone who rages like that on the golf course...Since i'm a complete dick and I hate people like this, I'd make sure to whoop his ass up and down the golf course and watch his steam come out of his head -
I'm thinking about picking these up..anyone try them out? http://promentalcoach.com/golf/golf.php?lang=ENGLISH&country;=USA®ion;=CA

Slow down, and take one shot at a time

shortening your back swing could help but without a video of your swing, there is no possible way to tell what you are doing wrong. Go spend the 50$ and get a lesson, you'll be glad you did

Decent golfer with consistency problems
tanktwo2 replied to twilliams16's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
If you aren't playing consistent golf, 9 times outa 10 it is due to poor fundamentals. There could be many many reasons you are constantly hitting the ball fat -
Who else feels like they rush when they are playing?
tanktwo2 replied to rygamer's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
it's all in your head bro Take slow deep breaths, get a pre-shot routine that is nice and slow. All this fast play nonsense is for golfers who are on there 7th stroke on a par 3 or the pro's that take 5 minutes to hit a putt. Try to get your swing good enough that only 1 main swing thought is needed. I just try to almost, become one with the ball, turn back and turn through. On the range it is a different story, though -

Wedge game was disappointing today - Any advice?

Visualize the shot you want to hit, whether a low running chip or more of a flop...become one with the ball and let er rip -
Don't sweat it...our brains are computers and sometimes computers malfuncion and blue screen or freeze up

Eh for the first 12-14 holes I am fine....butttt towards the end I start to get pretty worn out

I try to set my spine to the hill and in your case, aim to the right of the green and just make my normal swing. It really is nothing fancy. Its hard to explain. Don't fight the slope, just stand with the slope and make a normal swing. If your standing on the side of a hill, it is impossible to stand straight up as if it was flat ground. You shouldn't be on your tip-toes trying to address the ball making your normal stance. Just ground yourself, address the ball, aim right and let it rip

leaning the hands forward?
tanktwo2 replied to carpediem4300's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
No he didn't get "lucky" and sorry but you are wrong Watch Rory make a swing. Clearly, you can see the shaft of the club leaning toward his target and I see no "cup" in his left wrist at address. Rory makes one the most fundamental sound as close to perfect as perfect gets swings on tour. Watch Phil at address, once again his shaft is leaning forward at address. -
awesome! golf can be very frustrating at times, but stick with it
-
seems really silly. Golf is a game of consistency, and this seems like a very inconsistent irresponsible risk that leads to trouble

Sha**ing My Irons - Video Advice Please
tanktwo2 replied to jonny1409's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
Go see a good teaching pro. It will save you COUNTLESS $$ spent on wasted miserable rounds of golf and wasted miserable range sessions. We are all giving your tips what could work, or what has worked for us in the past.. etc...but compared to a good pro, most of us (myself included) do not have years of experience on studying the golf swing and teaching it to struggling players. -
BUG SPRAY. even some of the extremely high end courses have bug problems. I played the Ace Club in philly a few weeks ago in a match and the bugs were so awful on some holes it was impossible to hit a solid putt
