I think you had the right to be pissed off, and TBH, I probably would've taken it a step further...

Gosh, nevermind!!!! Haha! I'm meeting with my manager on Tuesday, and we're going to plan for me to go out there in April or early May so I can go out with the wife and check out the area. I will definitely take everything you said to thought, and I will keep listening to more reviews if anyone else has any!! BTW, you're a proud Floridian, and I know why!!!!!

Thinking about possibly making a move and get transfered to Florida. Please tell me everything about you know about the area and surrounding suburbs, schools, etc! Thanks!

Switched!!!!! Mizuno JPX-800 to Burner 2.0
DannyB215 posted a topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I tell you what. I have never made such a drastic decision, but when I hit the 2.0's at the range the other day, I had to make the switch. I love everything about this club, and I cannot believe I didn't give them a try before I picked the Mizuno's. Straighter, consistent with every swing, and I wasn't being nearly as consistent with the JPX-800's. I actually think I was fitted to the wrong shaft, which was causing a ton of mishits with the Mizunos. I can't say enough about the 2.0's, the hype is true, and I'm glad I made the switch. Thankfully, since I got the clubs customized at GolfSmith, they gave me 100% of the money back since I was within the 30 days, and I didn't have to pay a single dime for the switch, which made it even sweeter. Played at Van Cortland Park in NY (if you don't know it's the first public golf course in the US) and shot in the low 80's (estimated since I didn't finish the whole course). Anyways, just had to sing the praises, and will be changing my signature right after this. -
Ferg, thanks so much man...Good luck as you continue to lose more weight!! Going from 350 to where you are now is no easy feat!

Shopping for Super Game Improvement( SGI) Irons
DannyB215 replied to golf4tito's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Own the JPX-800's..most forgiving club out there. Also try the S3 Max and The Razr X's! The S3 max will be the best club for the value ($400). -
How do you feel about buying clubs online?
DannyB215 replied to golf4tito's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
If it's ebay I only buy from top rated sellers. Anything else I won't buy. I'm not going to be like most ppl here that will say make sure you hit the clubs before you buy them, but definitely make sure it's what you want before you make the purchase. GL! -

DannyB215 replied to kkeithd's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Anyone get a notification if they won one? Todd I'd be interested to see if you got any notification online that you were getting one mailed. I'd love to get one, but I know my luck...:/ -
Thank you everyone. As I start going to the gym more and more and diet more I will definitely keep you all updated. I think taking the first step is realizing that you need help and taking the right steps to go in the right direction. All of your comments were awesome, and all of you are going to hold me accountable once I set my goals...Deal?

Hey everyone, I write to you because, I seriously need some help. I have had a gym membership for 3-4 months now, and I've gone....8 times? RIDICULOUS. Golf is in my top 4 passions, and I definitely want to get better at it, slowly working my way to single digit handicap. However, I am in NO WAY SHAPE or FORM disciplined when it comes to working out, eating healthy, and staying healthy. Thankfully I have a great wife that cooks and uses Weight Watchers recipe's, but man, I need to stop drinking soda and sugar and carbs. I know what I need to do, and how to do it, but I simply am not doing it. Not taking the time to, instead of playing PS3, to go to the gym instead like I said I would. I need to get healthy asap, diabetes runs in my dad's side of the family and I feel like I'm on the way there, but I know I can stop that from happening, if I just get real and do what I say I'm going to do. I want to hear from those who struggled like I am now, those who have lost weight, and those who are knowledgeable in this matter. How did you lose weight, how did it impact your golf game, and how did you do it? Thanks for the "Judgement Free" comments in advance.

Uh oh...what mess Miller?

Hahaha I was just about to post about this...I went on youtube looking at his swing, and wow, talking about leaning on your right side. I found myself holding a club trying to mimic what he does, but I don't even plan to copy what he does, it would take a LOT of practice to perfect that swing.

Just bought recycled balls
DannyB215 replied to frankteo's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
Haha! I gotta put in some input here. I bought 36 Bridgestone B330-RX balls on ebay for 39.99. Just got them yesterday and WOW, 30 out of the 36 were almost brand new!! Some very minor nicks, but dang, I Was pleased. The lostgolfballs website has great deals too!!! Let me knw if you want me to give you the name of the company I bought them from. -
WRX...For sure, I'm working on my game at home plenty, not really working out as much, but definitely need to! I'm a big family guy, my wife didn't have a father growing up, and I'm going to be there for our son 100% of the time. I don't plan to push him, but I for sure wouldn't mind if he also fell in love with the game. DOES ANYONE HAVE A GHIN handicap? How much did you pay for it?

Need Suggestions to Complete My Set
DannyB215 replied to JD616's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Just made the switch from CG-14 Wedges to Nike VR wedges..Obviously it's up to the player, but I think the vr wedges are top 3 wedges an since they're discontinued you can get them on ebay for 54.99 with free shipping, trust me, I just got mine several days ago. -
The wife loves going out to the range with me, as she does like to hit some balls herself, so that helps out a TON. My son loves his new plastic golf set I bought him at Walmart for $5.

To me, it's about something I'm passionate about and want to get better at. None of you know my story, but I can tell you I've fought for everything I have today. I value my family first and foremost, and my wife is okay with me playing 2-3 times a week, as long as it doesn't take any time more time away from each other and from Christian (my son). You know, I didn't really start getting into golf until I got out of college, and now I think back, and I know if I had the passion for golf then as I do now, I would've gone to a golf management school or made golf my career. I'd definitely like to get better, and I know that getting into tournaments and doing more with the game would take more time away from home, so that is my dilemma. Alo, thanks for the tough love. The goal is to reduce my handicap and get better, but I also asked for advice about what I should or could do different regarding my golf game, not my family. I know if I play 5 rounds a week, my wife will divorce me. I know that my wife is happy. She wants me to be happy, and is easy going enough and down to earth enough to understand that a guy needs time for him and his "boys". @TheRoadDog- I wish. I just played my first round yesterday. I Was going 2 times a week at most last year, but played 3 times a week several times (a lot of twilight 9's, not whole rounds). The snow is all melted though!!!
