David Pelz Short Game Bible by David Pelz (all of his books are good) Every Shot Must Have a Purpose by Pia Nilsson et al. (or golf is not a game of perfect if you prefer Bob Rotella. I have read and enjoy both, but you said top three) Golf My Way by Jack Nicklaus

The Sports Guy (ESPN columnist) was making jokes that Kevin McHale is still secretly working for the Celtics. Hopefully it works out for both sides.

Why do I hit my 3-wood as far as my driver?
Silvertree replied to Buckswin's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Tom Wishon is one of the premiere equipment experts. His book: http://tinyurl.com/yt287n has some good information on shaft selection. -
I would hit both of them and see what you like better. But then it sounds like you haven't hit anything new recently, so why limit yourself to just Callaway? Hit everything your nearest golf store or pro shop has! You aren't going to be buying new irons every year. I think you owe it to yourself to check out everything. Plus, it is a blast to do. In no way am I talking bad about Callaway either. I just purchased a new set of X-20 Tours.

"hahaha, for a minute there I thought you said pro v1s, haha"
Silvertree replied to nstphillips's topic in Golf Talk
I don't necessarily think the feel of a golf ball and handicap coincide. How observant you are when you hit the ball cleanly is a completely different story. I can certainly tell the difference. More importantly though, next time tell him to get bent. Who cares what kind of ball you play but you? It is your money, if you feel better playing a Pro V1, play that ball. -
I think you will find that Mac users are a passionate lot.

That's circular logic don't you think? I stated my lack of respect for him before this weekend started for reasons that he certainly lived up to after. Why should I respect someone who doesn't give respect to anyone else? Who blames everyone for his own failure? You are the one who just turned this into a Europe VS America thread. I could really care less as far as that goes. Scott and Goosen are two of my favorite golfers as far as that goes. Great golf ability is fun to watch, but character stands above all else. Besides can you really use the "poor him" card on any professional athlete? I do like watching Tiger win, just as I loved watching Jordan, Gretzky, Lemieux, and Montana in their prime. I wasn't old enough to watch Jack or I would have done the same thing. But for this thread, I wouldn't refer to you to any of the wins the previously mentioned players had. I would refer to their loses. For that shows their true character, the trait I have commented on. To me, your comment about Tiger is very insulting to Tiger. I am pretty sure he has earned his wins.

First Hole in 1 - Par 3 course -Does it "count" ?
Silvertree replied to Packerdave's topic in Golf Talk
I was quoting you more for an emphasis that it doesn't matter what anyone says then anything. No worries. -
I bet Jack, Arnie, Tiger......etc. were just as upset when they didn't win. Sergio has no character. He has no class. At 27, it is time to realize that his flaws can't be blamed on maturity but on his personality. Great link Erik.

You don't need anyone's ruling. It counts. -
Just to clarify, you can use both Parallels and Boot Camp. It isn't an either/or type scenario. Right now I have XP, Vista, and OS X on my machine for work purposes. That being said, as a long time Windows user who converted, the more time you spend in OS X the more you will love it. I can't imagine booting to Windows unless it was to game, and I rarely do that as WoW is OS X compatible. Couple that with the last Steve Jobs announcement on Mac gaming and you are going to have less reason then ever to be in Windows. One of the many things that I do is support. I can tell you, OS X just works better. Overall OS X is a much better experience.

Daly is a guy who has genuine psychological and emotional problems. Big difference in my opinion. Sergio is a punk. His antics are just plain disrespectful to others and he shows no responsibility what so ever. And he is what, 27? I think we are beyond excusing his personality flaws on "his need to mature". If he isn't mature by now, it isn't going to happen. He is a punk. Normally I would word that ends with hole but I am being polite. I think everyone spits while walking on the course from time to time, I don't have any problem with that. I do, and I swear to myself as well. Where Sergio and Tiger differ is that Tiger doesn't involve others with his flaws. Of course this is another reason to love the Tour. So many different personalities makes it that much more fun to watch.

I can't stand the guy. I have never understood what people see in him. Nobody is hoping that he falls apart tomorrow more then me. Please let someone surge and catch him. Now that he uses a belly putter, it has gotten worse. I just can't get behind anyone who uses one. Tour golfers should not allowed to use a long putter. They are supposed to be pros.

That depends on what industry you are talking about. I can't comment on golf, I normally play public courses that don't offer the services previously mentioned. However if you are talking about the food industry, it isn't that people started expecting tips. Restaurant owners justify paying servers below (or if they are lucky, at) minimum wage by the "their tips make up for it" mentality. Don't blame the servers. Or at least not without blaming the whole industry.

Sergio Garcia is a media sweetheart for some reason that is completely beyond me. He may have flashes of great golf, but he will never be remember as one of the greats. However I might be biased. The mere sight of him makes me want to vomit.

Erik, Callaway range finder?
Silvertree replied to Silvertree's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Ah OK. Thanks. -
Is the Sand Trap planning on doing a review on Callaway's range finders in the near future? I am curious to how they compare to the Bushnell.

I subscribe to both. I can never read too much golf.

I use a 2000 Sacagawea dollar coin. That is the year I met my wife.
