I am pretty excited about the update. My wife and I plan on upgrading on 11 July. I just wish AT&T; would upgrade their network.

I wasn't directing my comment towards you SubPar. I have wanted to mess around with a 64 for a while but haven't gotten around to it, because of other things. More power to you! Glad you are enjoying it, and I appreciate the thread. My comment was directed towards young gun which is why I quoted him. It looked to me like he was jumping all over iacas' shit for no reason. In this thread and in at least one more that i had read that day. Not that he needs me to defend him but I didn't it was called for.

From what I read, Erik did say the same thing both times. If it works for you great. Don't compare your game to Phil M. Obviously people didn't get it the first time so he repeated it. I tend to agree with him. If something works for you, that is all that matters.

My wife and I both have iPhones. We have had them since a week after release. Perhaps you are confusing the number of phones you can have with the limit you could buy at once? I believe they were limiting the actual purchase number at one point. As in you couldn't walk in and buy 15 iPhones at once. But I can't remember for sure. Either way, I can guarantee you can walk into anyplace they are sold and buy one for you and your wife today. Or wait a few weeks until WWDC. That is a better idea.

If the only reason you are trading is for Blu-ray, I would just wait until MS releases the Blu-ray player for the 360. No it isn't officially announced but it is coming. I have both. I like the controller, the interface, and the online community much better on the 360. I like the quietness of the PS3 and the 7.1 audio output. Both machines have exclusive games that make it tough to decide, although that is not as big an issue as it used to be. If I had to choose one I would probably stick with the 360 because I have more friends on that system, but it would be a tough choice.

Talk about comparing apples and oranges.

That comes out to about $612 American dollars. You can by the same clubs on Golf Galaxy's website (in the states) for $499 and get the X-20s for $699 if that helps you at all.

I don't know if they will or not but in my experience it is almost always better to try to sell outright then trade. You probably know that, but I thought I would pass it along anyway.

Bushnell Medalist vs. Pinseeker 1500
Silvertree replied to WhiteSoxFan's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Golfsmith let me take all of them outside to test them. I agree with Erik on this one, the extra magnification is well worth it. -
We have one next door in the Computer Showcase. I have played around with it for a while. What a great machine! You can't beat the form factor. I think you will love it. Although I am not a big fan of Apple mice, even the newest one. I would get a good Logitech mouse. Other then that, what's not to love? OS X and Windows on the same machine? Great looks? A space saving machine? I don't see the downside

I love to play alone. About as much as playing with some one.

How many rounds have you played in the year you have had them? I believe the common recommendation is to re-grip once a year if you play often. I would wash one up and see if it helps.
-
I would say it really depends on the type of course you play. I would say 5 wood (sorry Dent). I can't remember for certain, and I don't have my book with me, but I think Dave Pelz suggests getting rid of your 6 iron. But I would have to double check that.

anyone play x-20 tour callaways
Silvertree replied to doublesuited77's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I would think most people would suggest a forged club at your level. My advice would be go to a good golf store and hit everything. Make an afternoon out of it. I am not saying that they aren't great clubs. Maybe they would be what you are looking for. Although I see most people of your ability with even more of a players club. -

I got mine a little less then 2 months ago. I bought them as a set of irons to grow into. So far I love them. I get much more feedback then I did from my G2s on miss hits and I love the Rifle shafts. Looking at your handicap, they might not be enough club for you though. -
I love to ride. I had a 2000 Victory V92 that was such a great bike. Alias, it was sacrificed to the Graduate School Money Gods. I can't wait to replace it though. You will enjoy it, that is for sure!

Does anyone else listen to My Chemical Romance?
Silvertree replied to BigHitta's topic in The Grill Room
I really like Dead! but it is probably because of Guitar Hero II. -
I have owned several Treos and one (soon to be two) Blackberries. I would say as far as calendar and email use, the Blackberry wins hands down. For ease of use, the Blackberry wins. The Treo has some nice features, but as far as every day ease of use I would say go with a Blackberry. But of course neither touch the iPhone.

Grips are a personal thing. I have read recommendations that suggest re-gripping every 6 months to a year, depending on how much you play. After three years, with any amount of play time on your old grips, I would say that it is time. Stock or replacement? That is a matter of personal preference. Some grips will last longer or feel better to you depending on what they are made of. I can tell you that I liked my stock Ping grips I used to have, until I tried the Wynn grips. I liked the way the Wynn grips felt enough to spend the little bit of extra money, although grips really aren't that expensive relative to other golf purchases. Why? Your hand will start to slip on the club, whether you notice all the time or not. Plus, new grips will just be more comfortable. Go to a pro shop. Make sure that the new grip fits your hand. Golf Galaxy in Indy (for example) has a huge area with grips attached to shafts. They also have a poster showing exactly how it should fit in your hand. If I remember correctly, when sitting in your left hand, your fingers should touch the fleshy part of your hand when they are closed. If they wrap too far around, it is too small. If they are not touching or really close too, they are too big (Someone feel free to provide a more accurate description if they have one). But more importantly, it should just feel GOOD to you. After trying several grips, you will know what I mean. When I was done, the Winn DSI AVS-V17 Soft grips where what felt the best to me. In fact, I liked them so much that when I got new clubs I have them re-gripped immediately. I hope that helps and makes sense. I have to get to work. Good luck!

They are excellent irons. The only reason I sold mine was that I wanted something a little towards the players side of irons. But they are great clubs.

Which Configuration? 4-SW or 3-PW?
Silvertree replied to PJStyles's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I would get 4-PW, a hybrid, and some Vokey wedges. Or 5-PW and two hybrids. -
Here are a few random thoughts about my iPhone that may or may not address some of the previous comments, but I thought I would share them 1. I find it very easy to dial the phone one handed, especially on numbers that are in my contacts. Using the keypad is also quite easy. The numbers are large enough on the screen that it causes no problems. I would say it is easier to use then my Blackberry 8703e one handed. 2. Sorting through contacts is incredibly easy. You can page very easily by selecting the letter from the side, or just flipping through with your finger. It pages very fast. Everything the phone does is fast. 3. The Edge network is slow, but very usable. Plus it automatically selects WiFi if available. 4. I would say after having my phone for a couple of weeks, I can type just as fast as I can on my BlackBerry. 5. Rumor has it that Apple is working on getting active sync technology from Microsoft which would offer full Exchange functionality. In the mean time you can use POP3 or IMAP functionality. 6. The iPhone is so easy to use. And so much fun. The interface is so much better then any other phone I have used. There really is no way to put the interface into words. You just have to try it. 7. My major complaint? Some of the buildings I work in interfere with cell service (Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T;). It takes the iPhone a while to find the network after I walk out of a bad building sometimes. Overall, I prefer my iPhone to my BB 8703e. I will be getting a BB 8830 by the end of the week and I am excited to make the comparison.

Video swing analysis software - For Macs?
Silvertree replied to tji's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
There are no known file infecting viruses that work on OS X. Last year there was the threat of a worm, but users were prompted to install the code after an actual file transfer from an IM client so by no means was it a threat to anyone other then people who blindly click and install random code. Sorry to hijack the thread. -
I would say it has more to do with the inability to effectively respond to and refute the Mac's claim on superiority.

Yeah, not so much. At least according to my preferences and the reviews I have read.
