Should I match my 3 wood to my driver?
Matt M replied to alomar123's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
In my opinion 3 woods are the hardest club to find one that will work for you. Unlike the driver your 3 wood needs to be hit out of verious lies. I just try to find one that works for me. -
How much does fitness help you out on the golf course
Matt M replied to franky21's topic in Fitness and Exercise
I run 4 times a week and play indoor soccer in the winter to keep my cardio. I find that at the end of rounds I'm still mentally sharp. Also I think cardio is key in competitive golf, when the pressure is on and your heart rate rises it's nothing new to your body. So in short I think cardio is key for me to play my best. -
Just got back from Las Vegas, Painted Desert has a great deal right now 75, so does Badlands is a little higher. Bear's Best if you do a GOLFNOW.com search you can find some great deals.

Wow..............................Did you just start to watch golf this season? Hunter Mahan, Anthony Kim, JB Holmes, I'm going to stop naming all the talent on tour it would take too long. Let's look at the top players in the world right now, Phil Mc, and what's the one guys name um I can't think of it, some kind of animal cheetah no that's not it...oh yea Tiger Woods. Your statement is a bit flawed, your assuming all European/Asian/Australian prospect will be successful, their just prospect as of now. Talent comes from all over the world, always has, golf is a global game so there will be times when one area (usually cause of 1 player) will look stronger than another. Golf in the U.S is hardly about the rich guy, one great thing that is coming out of this recession is private clubs becoming public or semi private. I'm by no means wealthy but I do belong to a club and carry a fair handi. My son of nine years plays on a regular basis, all on a blue collar income. I think we are going to see more player from Asia and more players from India, and before to long there will be talent coming out of the Middle East. American golf is healthy and will be fine just don't confuss young talent for achievements. It is ok to have great player from other countries golf is an individual game the Ryder Cup is the only important team game we have in golf. I do think one reason we are seeing so much talent from around the world is that so much of the talent from around the world is coming here for collegiate golf. With all that said I'm ok with golf being a global game that's one of the great things about this sport.

Playing Goals: Play with more focus, every shot has to be as important as it is in the club championship. Practice Work more with instructor and focus on short game and putting. 40 % of practice goes to putting and short game, 30% wedge distance control, and the last 30% on full swing. Handicap Get index down to 2-3, at 5.2 currently. Course to Play Oakmont, PA, East Lake Ga.

Patriot Hills is a good one, River Island, and there is a Palmer course just to name a few in Pigeon Forge. Great golf down there if I remember River Island was really fun. There are others some good golf down there.

I wonder if my wife would let me set that up in the living room?

Tiger told him to open close his blade during the putting stroke which he said help then the comentators said Phil told him to keep his head still which he said worked. Wow he may have more going on in his head during putting than me.

I think you get away with more on a mat. I prefer turf, in the winter here in Ohio I use the mats the ground becomes to soft unless it's froozen.
-
I noticed that but I wasn't sure if he was on the fringe or just on the green. Either way it didn't have an effect on the overall match. It did look like he did though.

I have to agree with Erik, Tiger doesn't need or have to talk to the police. It's really not anyones buisness, the accident was with a tree so maybe the tree deserves an explanation or the owner of the tree. Other than that nobody needs to hear from him. I feel bad for Tiger having to deal with such a private matter in public it's probably very embarrassing. On a lighter note what club do you think Elin used wood iron or putter?

Ok since were going to make statements the Camaro is understeering b'''h let me quote lap times around Laguna Seca. First for the uneducated in high performance driving or racing Laguna is a handling track where hp is not as importand as let say Imola which lap times are affected 10 times more by hp than a cars handling. Laguna is a tight track that is in a constant state of direction change. Motor Trend Lap Times check it out for yourself Lap Time For the incredibly agile Nissan 370z 1:46.53 Lap Time For the Camaro SS 1:45.72 From a former racer that is an eternity in difference that wouldn't even be a race. So if you drove a SS that understeer it was the only one, or you don't know how to drive.

Really what part of his golf career has been sneaky? This kind of statement shouldn't be on this site. What part of Tiger's life do you know about other than his golf career, or his foundation which helps at risk kids? Yea these sound like sneeky behavior. What a ridiculous statement please leave your bias's at the door.

As much as I want to argue with this anti american car statement and lack of facts all I will say is luck up the stats ion the camaro. Not one article written about the camaro say anything about the camaro as straight out of the 70's muscle. Ever article talks about the power and handling of the car. It was designed buy some of the best rear wheel drive expert Holden in Australia. 50 50 weight balance so in closing do yourself a favor and drive the car then decide. Plus I'm just guessing that even if the 350 could pull a mile or two faster in the turns the extra 125 hp over the 350z's 300 would make it up on the straight aways on any track. Trust me I might know a thing or two about corner speed and lap times.

Funny story about this. Back in 99 a group of friends and I took a road trip to Tennessee for some Spring mountain golf. On the ride down we put a cassette in of Golf is Not a Game of Perfect. We listen to a story of a tour pro who said he would here the crowd grown in his head before he missed his short putts. The next day we get to the course and my budddy misses I think every short putt he has. We get in the van to go back to the condo, not a mile from leaving the course he press eject on the radio tosses the tape out the window saying " I never ever heard anything in my head before a putt but after listening to that F ing tape that's all I heard all F ing day!". So we never got to hear the rest of the book.

That's why I have G8 GT 360 hp and a full size trunk, fit 4 bags in the trunk and still beat most sports cars to the course.
-
I use it when its above 75 and sunny, but only the spray on kind. I can't stand the oily rub on kind on my hands.

First off if your talking PGA Tour no anybody can't do it. If you mean PGA of America Pro then yea I'd say many more people could get their PGA of America card if they dedicated themselves to the game. You still need to have some natural ability though. Some people seem to be destined to be 18's their whole life. If a player has played golf for 5 yrs. and still hasn't figured out how to play the game, not hit balls, but play the game then no they probably aren't going to be able to be a pro. So in not so many words no not everyone can be a Pro.
-
Yes, I'm not sure I'd say mountain golf courses are unnatural. Desert courses always have a kinda of carpet laid down look. I'm not sure mountain golf looks even close to that odd. Just want to add that odd isn't a bad thing when talking about desert golf just different.
-
Yea they will fit with a carry bag just take out your driver and woods before you put it in the trunk then lay those clubs in the trunk. Problem solved but wouldn't you rather have a camaro ss. They fit in the trunk with no problem.

I really like the set I have now. My dream putter is a TP Mills but other than that I'm quite happy with the clubs in my bag now.

I play the 67's and love em. They are the best iron I've ever used, now that said the 68's do look good. If you want the newest irons out then wait for the 68's. I know the 67's are good I"m sure the 68's will be but I can't see the point of spending more money for the newer blades. The reality of it is your purchasing blade irons not game improvement so what is the point of spending more money on a newer model. There is probably not a significant difference in performance.

I'm not sure I understand what your disappointed about. The golf course was in immaculate shape, the golf was entertaining. Dubai is a desert, now I haven't been to a bunch of deserts but I have been to a few desert areas and most aren't incredibly interesting. I think the course was good and so was the play. I will agree it wasnt as spectacular as Baniff, but I don't think they advertised it to be.

RockBottom Golf jacking up prices for Black Friday!
Matt M replied to Bo the Golfer's topic in Golf Talk
Wow I may actually have colon cancer with the smoke that was just blown up my arse. So what your saying is your raising your price say 14% but giving a 15% off on the best deal so it's a one percent savings on some items. Other items not so. Sounds a lot like a Walmart sale while it may be good buisness for RBG it's still smells of a snake oil salesman. And the response is just a justification for a not so much sale. I understand you need to make money and your company does offer some good deals. I think what most people are looking for is a trustworthy discount company they can deal with.
