  1. The Orange/Fruit Punch X factor was awesome. I liked all of those, but now I'm a G2 guy. Never heard of the cucumber lime one though, sounds interesting.
  2. If you get a possession charge, it can be on your record for a number of years. That means potential employers are likely to see it. I'd rather not give them any reason not to hire me, therefore, I avoid marijuana. If you want to smoke it, that's fine. However, to say it is harmless isn't true. It can cause things that may affect others more than the user, such as impaired perception or loss of coordination when used irresponsibly . The biggest example I can think of would be operating a vehicle under the influence. That sounds pretty harmful to me. It comes down to being able to responsibly use anything. Alcohol, weed, cough syrup, whatever. If you know your limits and control yourself, it can be safe, but at the same time it can be incredibly harmful if you're negligent.
  3. Pretty self explanatory thread here, what things do you see that just absolutely drive you insane on the course? My biggest annoyance is when people line up their shot forever, take way too many practice swings, and then proceed to top the ball 30 yards and start the whole process over again. I understand the need for the swings/alignment if you're a good golfer, but if you're terrible, you're not fooling anybody with that pre-swing routine. Another one came up when I was golfing with some friends. A particular friend who is a bit of an idiot thought it was hilarious to run over the ball of other friends in our group with the cart. And I mean with the tire, not just drive over the top of it. I was absolutely shocked that he did this, and he did it multiple times throughout the round. It took everything in me not to wrap a club around his neck! I would lump this into a general category of showing absolutely no regard for other players. So those are my biggest ones, what about you guys/gals?
  4. That's why I never keep score. I consider everything a practice round for myself. If i hit a terrible shot, I'll drop another ball, take the shot again to try to improve and then go play the first one assuming I can find it and just pick up the second. Granted, I'm new to the game, and I know this is against the rules if i were to try to post a score. But I don't, so I just get to go relax and have fun!
  5. Coupon There's a possible one, not sure if it works or not but it is 10 off 50. Also they advertise free shipping on over $75.
  6. When a guy is reported to be begging the QB to go there, i feel like he won't be much of an issue. He'll work a lot harder since he'll be in a desirable situation. Back to my team, I'd like to see the Steelers make a run for Plaxico, but I'm not sure how likely that is. We already have one deep threat with Mike Wallace, but having another big play guy could open up the box for Mendenhall. Here's to another great season for the black and yellow!
  7. I literally busted out laughing when I saw my boy Tony Watson's at-bat against Roy Holliday last night. I watched him all through college from the third row at Nebraska and his step mom was my high school principal, but man he got embarrassed in that AB. I'm an Angels fan, but I love seeing former Huskers do well. Gordon is having a great year for the Royals, Watson has been great, and Duensing has been pretty solid for the Twins. But when it comes down to it, go Halos!
  8. This seems like more of a "feel" thing than anything else. The only way you're going to get better at it is by playing rounds and understanding distances, uphill/downhill, fairway conditions, etc. Your course I'm sure has yardage markers, so you should be able to get a rough estimate off of that. If you don't want to spend the money (like me) for a GPS or range finder, it's just a matter of getting out there and practicing in my opinion.
  9. Not a one. Not much to be said to a quiet 6'7" 235lb kid that keeps to himself. Well, there was once at after-prom where a kid i hated challenged me to a "friendly" giant glove, bouncy castle boxing match but I'm not sure how much that counts. Hammered him, knocked him down with a huge right hook and yelled "What now, B****?!?!" Then I realized everybody was staring at me so I quickly put the gloves down and went back to my girlfriend who was just laughing her head off. Let the competitive spirit get the best of me a bit, and man it felt great!
  10. Very cool video. Very interesting, thanks for sharing and OP thanks for asking!
  11. Dry heat isn't so bad! I'm in the midwest, and it's just humid beyond belief. That being said, I plan to head out tomorrow morning for a round before it gets too bad!
  12. Does whatever college you are attending have a golf team? If so, you might attempt to walk on to that and gain some assistance from playing consistently and having a consistent coach.
  13. Pretty sure by "Longest irons ever" they mean hitting distance. But if you're 5'6", you will likely need shorter clubs anyway, so a fitting would likely be recommended if you have a fairly consistent swing at this point.
  14. Probably Hope Solo, #1 the goalie.
  15. I would have definitely given it to Jeter. I still have my homerun balls from my HS baseball games and whenever I see them I remember the exact moment, and all of the emotions that were in each of those swings. Now, if I get that kind of feeling from a simple homerun, I couldn't imagine the goosebumps somebody would get from looking at the ball from such an incredibly historic event that they were involved in. I would have simply taken whatever they offered right away, no way would I have held out and tried to nitpick a reward from them.
