  1. Millwall too. Hell, I watched Green Street Hooligans at least 20 times... (FYI: Search YouTube for it. The entire movie is on it and it's well worth it. I think the movie was pretty badass.)
  2. Front 9: 39 Back 9: 50 This was by far the most lopsided round I've ever had in my life and it happened last year. I went out feeling fantastic and played really well. On the back 9, I literally still have no idea what happened. I felt fine but I was absolutely inconsistent as hell. I rarely top shots and I remember doing it several times. I rarely duff a tee shot with my driver and I did that twice as well. My timing was completely thrown off and I could not do anything to fix it at the time. I'll blame it on the hot dog at the turn....
  3. Not sure if you meant brand, or actual club. My preferred brand is Titleist and my favorite club is my Scratch 8620 60° (Sweeper/Slider grind) LW. That club is my go-to* club from anywhere within 80 yards. *Unless the lie/obstacles in front of me dictate less loft.
  4. Okay, guys. I think we should get back on topic. There was a nice debate and mix of opinions before. @BrownCoast found his Shift and Enter keys (kidding... ) so let's call off the dogs and return to the a-holes arguing that Rory should have been made to wait until the next morning to finish up (kidding, sort of, again... ).
  5. Welcome to TST and you make a good point at the end of your post. Hopefully you stick around and contribute more! My personal opinion on this whole thing has drastically changed after hearing more about this through ESPN and other outlets. I don't think he intentionally tried to hit him anymore and I have to admit that was kind of a crazy assumption. I do still think he tried to shoot some mud/dirt on him though, similar to what somebody would do with water near a sidewalk to someone who just flipped them off. Kind of a drive-by-splashing to say "screw you" and laugh it off as you drive away. Who knows for certain though. I would definitely assume that Tony has to feel horrible at the end of the day though.
  6. I'm with Erik and @David in FL and a few others on this one. In the spirit of this game, and any game, there is a time when it is nice to simply be a decent human being and an overall good sport. I think it would take a pretty mean-spirited prick (my true thoughts result in asterisks) to force Rory into the next day. If that were my son I would feel accomplished as a father if my boy waved the competition up to help get their round finished. This is a bit of a stretch, but t's like the marathon runner who gives up their place to help a runner that just can't make it to the end on their own. That selfless moment of true sportsmanship and human decency that makes somebody a likable athlete and person. If any player in that situation would have argued against allowing Rory to play up to cause him to wait until the next day, they would be literally eaten alive by media and fans for probably the rest of their career. That's not a simple d*** move that wears off of your resume in a short period of time. That's something that can tarnish your reputation and brand for a long, long time. Playing football all of my life, I met many parents, coaches and players who were of the mindset to "win at all costs". They were generally pretty miserable people, with not many friends and based their life's worth on wins and success by any means necessary. I remember hurting a QB (I played ILB) and I didn't see him down on the ground still until the play was over. I heard an assistant coach yelling over to me saying "YEAH! THAT'S WHAT I LIKE TO SEE!". I went over to the kid and helped him back up. Thankfully, he just had the wind knocked out of him. Gave him a smack on the helmet and ran back to my sideline only to be reamed out for "showing weakness". I'll never teach my kid that type of bs. Life is too short to be a miserable SOB. That mentality should be reserved for the armed forces where your life is on the line and not in sports. I'm pretty sure that @Fourputt was simply asking you to try and format your posts a little bit better so that they are easier on the eyes. You have to admit that lack of punctuation, capitalization, etc. is kind of hard to follow. I mean, would you take the time to read and comprehend a news article that was poorly written? You'd likely discredit their legitimacy and move on, or simply get annoyed and stop reading.
  7. Super, super sad news. When I heard this yesterday while we were eating dinner, I was just like "Yeah, right. Fox News fell for a hoax". It sucked really bad when I saw it on MSNBC, CNN, HLN, ABC, NBC, CBS, etc. The Birdcage was absolutely hilarious. If you haven't seen it yet, go watch it.
  8. That's like a story I heard about some elderly woman who was backing out of her driveway and hit/killed a young boy who was riding his bike. This selfish b**** sued the family for an unknown amount due to "mental anguish". She claims she's mentally unstable/handicapped now due to the trauma of the event. With that said, nothing would surprise me anymore. On topic though, I did hear that witnesses at the track are coming out and saying that Tony stopped his car immediately and ran over to the kid. That kind of changes my initial perception of what happened, since it was initially made out to seem like he hit the kid and kept on trucking. Is there any update on this "his crew changed his rear-passenger tire" conspiracy, or the missing Sony GoPro camera?
  9. Kids Today: "What's a floppy? Seriously, what the hell is that thing? Must be Sci-Fi crap, we use discs..."
  10. A prime example of the savings to be had online would be the experience I had in Golf Galaxy last week. I pull in to their parking lot at the same time as a guy driving a BMW M6. We happen to go to the checkout at the same time where I have one dozen of Titleist NXT Tour S and I'm in line behind him. I see that he has some shirts and shorts in his arm. I'll admit I was curious on the price and the guy say s"Okay, your total is 546.. and some change. Damn near $550 for what looked to be about 4 shirts and some shorts. Maybe 3-4 outfits in total for nearly $550. Clearly the money was not a problem seeing as how he pulled in with about a $120,000+ car. I couldn't help but be a little shocked though because I saw the same Adidas Puremotion shirts that he was buying on one of the bigger online retailers for like $20.00 each, rather than the $69.99 that he probably paid. To each his own, but in certain cases I'm going to try and save big where I can. I'd rather put that additional $40 per shirt into my kid's college fund or something, rather than hand it over to Dick's/GG.
  11. Yeah, there's definitely not much in the way of "good news" to be found right now. I also hope that whatever deity these sick, radical f***s pray to serves them the same treatment in their after life.
  12. Wow, I totally missed that. I just noticed the YouTube Publish date. Published on Jan 23, 2013. Damn, it really is a Monday today! I was really thrown off for a minute and asking myself where the hell he is playing in 38° weather right now in August... Time for another Red Bull and a cup of coffee!
  13. I think Dan is a likable guy and he obviously progressed into a pretty good golfer. From knowing nothing about the game to playing pretty well, I give him props for that. Pretty good VLog overall, but it did get kind of boring after a while. Also, that weather in August would be enough for me to move far, far away. NE Ohio is brutal in the Winter, but at the end of the day I love our seasons.
  14. I agree with this. Whether he meant to spray some mud on the kid, throttle up to say "F you" through his motor, bump into the kid, who the hell knows what he meant. The fact is that Tony Stewart is a classic hot heat and it's all very well documented through his history. I can't say that this is all just a mishap with evidence of throttling up at the perfect time with a driver who is known to be a bit of a loose cannon behind the wheel. It's just too fitting and nothing has been brought up that would make me think this was an accident.
  15. How can you assume that there was no malice though? Unless you're Tony Stewart, both sides of the argument are simply opinions and personal views. What I would ask you though, is how you explain hitting the throttle at the exact moment when his rear end was lined up with this kid, while knowing what happens when the throttle was hit? That is one hell of a coincidence in my opinion. I think there's a bit too much to look at to just say "The kid was stupid and this was a s*** happens moment that went unfavorably". Or, the changing of the rear passenger tire in a panic after the incident during which time Tony's crew replaced it with a driver side tire in a panic. That's a bit suspect as well. I wouldn't panic and change my tire if I was innocent and made a mistake. I'd probably run down the track and check on the kid (while knowing that ALL cars have now stopped).
  16. There's no arguing against that, for sure. The result was the death of a young kid which is tragic, horrible, awful, and many other words (if there are any) which describe the result. However, Tony's intent may have been to bump or knock the kid down. Again, knowing that a Sprint car is going to set up sideways when the throttle is hit, how could he coincidentally hit the throttle right as his rear end is lined up with the kid. What, did he mistime his throttle in an attempt to throw mud on him? Highly doubtful. I'm not making a strong accusation that Tony Stewart murdered this kid. I just personally think he did intend to hit him and knock him on his ass or something. Unfortunately, it clearly didn't go as I think he intended it to.
  17. I personally think the kid was in plain view, from what I an tell from the video, and that Tony clearly saw him. It's my own opinion, obviously, and I have no way of proving that as factual. However, I do know that during a caution it is not customary to gun your engine in a turn especially (how coincidental?) right when you're next to a driver who is out of their car. I mean, come on. Tony probably meant to hit the kid and bump in down or something. The dude has always been a little mentally unstable and I think he finally let his temper get the best of him. Again, my opinion and I can't see any blatant evidence of anything contrary as of yet.
  18. I voted (hell) No! The scores were very low, so it's obvious that they managed just fine. It was also a major and I don't want to see guys being overly coddled in any major because we see that enough throughout the year on the PGA Tour in general. If we had guys that were duffing and causing super-massive blasts of mud and water all over themselves, plugging balls into the fairway where only a dimple is showing, or scores that were drastically and obviously suffering as a result of the water, I'd vote and believe otherwise. With a winning score of -16, one would think that no other player who happened to struggle would open their mouth for obvious reasons.
  19. Eh, I could not disagree more with the notion that Rory has no star power. I played golf on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 9 AM both days and the club houses were packed with golfers of all ages who were all talking about Rory's demeanor, power, accuracy, etc. It was Rory, Rory, Rory, Phil, Rory, Rory, Rickie, Rory, etc. (you get the point) from what I heard before my round, at the turn, and after my round. I think that's substantial star power if you ask me. The kid is a phenom and I thoroughly enjoy watching him and watching him win.
  20. Ha, this is an awesome weekend. Browns vs Lions tonight, playing 9 early in the morning tomorrow and then having my dad over for a little cookout and some PGA.
  21. @iacas You should have shot me a PM! I'm 5 minutes from 271/71. Play a quick 9 next time you're in town?
  22. Yeah, quoted as saying "You would think I was speakin' English" after repeatedly asking people to move. He's now in a bush, deep in the woods.
  23. LOL and we have a clear F bomb from Tiger after a quick-left tee shot! "For F's sake, Tiger!"
  24. Yeah I wouldn't write off the range. Our range that closed was where my dad always took me when I was a little kid. It kind of sucks to see it close down, but the business practices were ridiculous. The owner would close the place down with a sharpie-written sign saying "Too Hot Out" or something ridiculous at noon in July. One time it just said "Be Back Later" with no honor system in place so that people could at least practice. Guys were standing around in the parking lot just laughing and taking pictures of the sign. Driving ranges like this usually don't last very long unless there's no competition nearby.
  25. Tell me aboot it, I'm using it too and it's working perfectly. Thanks, ey?
