  2. well my head keeps quite level in the video, but the left leg comes up a little bit, i think this was a big problem when i was a kid, trying to hit 200+, i'll upload the video when i come home from work, this is bothering me now.
  3. most liekly why my right elbow is way out at the top of the backswing, and my miss is a hook or a block. making me really want to hit the range today... godamm work.
  4. i've always thought jumping at it was a bad thing... or maybe our definition of 'jumping' during a golf swing differs... recently went to the range, recorded about 3 swings on my crappy iphone4 camera, what i noticed is that my left foot leaves the ground slightly at impact, is this what you mean by jumping? [1 of those shots was thin, the other 2 were pure]. - i've always thought this was one of my many swing flaws.
  5. shot 36 - par 36... course was playing kinda easy, tees were forward but pins in unforgiving posistions, didn't drive it well (havent been driving it well at all) just 3wood stingered my way off the tees. started off firing at the pins, getting 3 straight birdies, 3 straight pars, and the horrible driving kicked in and bogeyed the last 3 holes, close to a under par for 9, but no cigar.
  6. i didnt think the chin thing was a big deal, i keep my chin up so i can feel my shoulder coming underneath it; so i can tell if im turning enough.... too each their own...
  7. oh.... god........................... WHY
  8. tiger doesn't look like tiger... i'm starting to lose belief, think he's a 'has-been' now... btw! 100th post grats to me
  9. i wouldn't really call it cheaping out... as it costs nearly 1k to get a rolex serviced....
  10. it's like a suit kinda... gives an impression. i think this was well played by rolex, pick up a superstar (fallen or not) at a low price, and good for tiger.... those child-support payments must be a big pain in the butt.
  11. its easier to work an iron ie; play a high/low fade/cut draw/hook than a bigger wood. so my experience with this is; smaller the club head; easier it is to work. if you want to be able to work it; 3 hybrid if you want consistency and forgiveness; wood
  12. 37 for 9 holes today par36... only used my driver once.. hit 5/7 fairways, 7/9 GIR, 1 sand save and pretty poor putting... could've gone really low if the greens weren't corded........................
  13. when i was off a higher handicap i had no luck with the driver, so i learnt a "go-to" shot with my 3-wood. it's a low stinger fade. it's not that its an easier shot to hit, it's more a shot that i knew i could it, and had the proper swing thoughts, eg; play the baller closer to your right foot (if your a right hander), stand a touch closer, open the stance and hit. it's a shot i still use now when my driver isn't quite working for me.
  14. i wouldn't have quit in highschool cause it wasn't a 'cool' sport.
  15. played 18 at my dad's course yesterday. Driving was terrible the first nine... was +10 coming into the last 4 holes, proceded to hit everything pure going birdie, par, birdie, eagle.... i wouldve shot -1 if i just played to my handicap on the first nine, - the last 4 holes of this course are index 1,2,3,6 lol. Funny how golf doest his to you; makes you play bad on the easy holes, domiante the hard holes. zzZZZzz
  16. current economic conditions? people don't have time to play golf anymore? idk my wild stab in the dark
  17. just played a round on the weekend, this course has quite a few dog legs, and i find the longer irons easier to draw/fade hook/cut... i use my 4 iron around 6-9 times a round (4 off the tee, a few punch, and a few 2nd shots into par 5s) i guess thats about 10% of my total shots, so i guess i get quite a fair bit.

    Putting

change to a belly or a long putter, it'll help keep you penduluming instead of flipping imo the other grips just look... well... silly.
  19. golf just isn't as exciting if it was tiger-less, in form or not, he brings so much to the game, Norman should mind his own business.
  20. i ahve no idea about the irons, but from information gathered on shafts on this site, the project x shafts are high launching.. and since the SS is 95-105mph so i'd go for 6.0's... but you can get a high launching dynamic gold shaft aswell, and you want want to get that in x100..
  21. ball posistion, posture. need to get those checked out. then you need to compress the ball.. hard to explain it without seeing/showing it.
  22. i for one don't think you need a specific body to play golf, for instance im quite skinny... i'm 182cm which i think is around 6feet and 72kgs which is i think around 160lbs, and my swingspeed tops out at 120mph.. i'm sure with a bit of core muscle training i could go a bit further to 125... but it's only 5mph difference.
  23. hmm i use my driver quite often... say i play 18 par 72 with four par 5's and four par 3s... out of the fourteen driver-useable holes i'd use my driver probably about 8-10 times, factoring dog legs etc. i dont really have a problem keeping my driver on the fairway, my shortgame is pretty bad though.
  24. titleist 710MB's :) haha jk try some callaway irons, i've always liked how easy they were to hit
  25. yeah im a huge TW fan, but he shouldn't have been picked. glad to see alot of aussies on the international team though
