  1. I'm sure you could hire some specific women in Las Vegas to caddy like that for you.
  2. 12th hole is a 388yd dogleg left par 4. I've played this course a few times and my dad always says "with as long as you hit you can cut it for sure" It always gets into my head and I end up swinging out of my shoes and slicing it way right. Today I played with my brothers in law(s?) And figured I would go for it. I hit 3wood, cut the dogleg, made it over a big ol sandtrap and ended up right in the middle of the fairway. I hit a 60* wedge to the middle of the green and 2 putted for par. It felt great to finally beat that hole.
  3. 93 today. New personal best. My scores have been steadily dropping so far and it feels great. Went out in 49 and back in with 44. I think the main thing was just eliminating those blow up holes. I had one triple, one double, 2 pars and the rest was solid bogey golf. Still have yet to hit a birdie, but it's coming I can feel it.
  4. 101. Was really focused on just playing bogey golf until a par 3 came along and I carded an 8. I was relatively surprised at the 101, my dad and I played the blues With the guys we were paired with. It was my first time out at that course and I can't wait to be back again.
  5. That looks pretty cool, almost like sparklers
  6. As long as it's not too loud then I think it's fine. I'll usually have pandora on my phone only loud enough for the two of us in the cart. I played with my brother in law and he brought out a portable boom box type thing and had an ipod hooked up to it. That was absolute overkill, he would have the damn thing blaring as we pulled up near other groups and I had to turn it down every time. And as soon as I stepped out of the cart it went right back up again. Total lack of courtesey IMO.
  7. Sounds like conversations I had with my dad when I was much younger. Wish I stuck with it when I was younger. OP good luck, it's a miracle your girlfriend even wants to play
  8. Broke 100 finally with a 98! Had the best time out there today.
  9. A 24 hr range would be trouble for me. I get out of work between 10pm-12am most nights and a good stress reliever for me is to go through a bucket. I wouldn't be home until the wee hours of the morning.
  10. I do my best not to get mad. I suck, of course I'm not going to hit it perfect every time. There have been a couple really frustrating days that it all just went to crap but I'm outside playing golf, instead of working or sitting on the couch. Life's not that bad.
  11. I like getting there at least 45 min. Early, I get to knock a few balls at the range and get loose. My father on the other hand doesn't like to warm up and will be there 10 min. Before. He still beats me every time we play which is quite frustrating, but I know my time is coming. A few weeks ago my brother in law and I met my dad and his buddy after church. We had to race to get to the course to make our tee time. The first few holes were terrible, my head wasn't in it at all and I definately showed it.
  12. I would much rather practice on mats than badly kept grass. The range I usually go to doesn't move the hitting bays until they are really messed up. Yesterday I went and actually got to hit off fresh grass, it was amazing.
  13. We have "golf" classes at the community college I'm taking classes at right now.
  14. Just don't let college take a back seat to golf. Did that last semester and I'm definitely regretting it. I'd get out of class around 12 and be at the range or course the rest of the day.
  15. Keeping my right arm closer to my body during take away. It's helped my natural slice ball flight and forces me to rotate more and swing with my arms less.
  16. Lmao I'm not even clicking that link but that song it's going to be in my head all night at work
  17. Welcome from San Antonio!
  18. Most videos and pictures that are posted here dont show up on my iPad either. Not sure why exactly, I've just learned to overlook it.
  19. I also have the 3 wood and love it.
  20. I'll usually turn on the citizen cope station on pandora, or some Eli Young Band or something of the like. The range I frequent has a bar/restaurant built in which also has an outdoor stage for live music. They have a live band out there over the weekend, but also have music playing most nights. It doesn't distract me at all, just kind of makes it more enjoyable. They had karaoke night last night though, but surprisingly it wasn't as distracting as one may think.
  21. ^ that's cool! I don't know that I could fit 100 holes worth of golf balls in my bag at once lol
  22. I would consider myself a weekend golfer, i'll play once a week maybe, and I have broken 100 once on a short 9 hole I played twice. I shot a 93 that day with a couple blow up holes and quite a few pars. I usually play with my brother in law and/or my father and they both adhere to the rules pretty strict. I shot 101 last time out and know I'll break 100 soon.
  23. Lol @arm helmet.
  24. I don't play a driver either, I have been fairly consistent with my Tommy Armour 3Wood and get it about 240ish with the furthest at 260 (what GPS said). I recently got a RBZ 3wood and am learning to not try and crush it. I hit it 280 once and now for some reason I keep trying to out do that and end up all over the place. There is a short 9 hole course near me that my brother in law and I play quite a bit, and it's amazing how much better I score using a 5i instead of a driver or even 3W.
  25. I read that out of Daly's book. Never tried it though.
