  1. Most of the course in La Crosse opened up last wednesday, I got nine in on thursday. Feels good.
  2. Actually the name is deceiving its probably the flattest course in the area. The wind plays a huge factor there and so does water, there is water on about 11 holes I think. The fescue grass is always fun too.
  3. Viroqua Hills is a decent course, I am not a fan of forest hills so much. If you want to play a really nice course without dropping a lot of money, try the mountain in trempleau. Probably the nicest course around for the money, they usually run a special in the summer for 18 holes and a cart for around 30-35 dollars.
  4. Welcome, I am from La Crosse.
  5. I probably would have punched the guy in the face
  6. Thats impressive
  7. I like the vokey I just got
  8. Good Job.

  10. I am not counting out the cleveland wedges, I am just glad I went with a vokey. I am sure if I was a better ball striker I could get the one hop and stop with a different wedge but the spin milled wedge allows me to have worse contact and still get the stopping power on it.
  11. My wifes dad lives on the corner of a dog leg left hole and he provides me with a lot of titleist and callaway balls so that is where I get my pro v1's from otherwise if I have to purchase balls I play with the srixon ad333 which for a suprisely cheap ball plays nicely.
  12. Yeah that is the truth, hell I started the round with a hard ball the srixon ad-333 and it was taking chunks out of that ball, the last three holes I wanted to see what the vokey would do with a nice ball so I played a pro v1 and it chunked it up pretty good.
  13. Yeah I would have to say this club is worth the money, I had numerous chips where I hit them a little harder than I wanted to and they would bounce once and stop, if I was using my previous lob wedge they would have rolled off the green. I had a crappy mid range game this morning but within 50 yards I was dropping and stopping with my new wedge. I am seriously thinking about replacing my gap wedge with another vokey wedge. I am so glad I picked this over the cleveland cg12. +1 for vokey
  14. I usually get about 4-6 feet of roll out with my current lob wedge and that is using balls that are harder and when I use the more expensive balls it stops occasionally but I still will get 2-3 feet of roll out. I got a big gift card for golf headquarters for my birthday and I just got new irons and a driver this year, my putter was new last year and is in great shape. Basically the only thing in my bag that I needed to replace was my lob wedge which I bought used for 10 bucks 2 years ago. So I am hoping to get that nice stop on a dime type action.
  15. I bought a vokey spin milled 58 degree wedge, so I should have some fun with that today.
  16. I only got the irons, so I have no idea what the woods are like.
  17. I got the tight lies irons, took a little bit of getting used too but now I like them.
  18. I have bought from them many times with no problems.
  19. I just got a new shaft put on my driver the other day and I had a regular shaft and went to a stiff shaft. It made a huge difference, I was driving the ball farther and straighter. And it only cost me 40 bucks.
  20. Have you tried moving the ball back in your stance at all?
  21. The funny thing is I normally try to hit it short of the pin and roll it up to pin, so I thought I hit perfect shot and then it rolled back on me and it was on a slope too so then I had a difficult chip shot afterwards.
  22. I played 9 holes today and on the ninth hole I had about 50 yards to the green. I pulled out my sand wedge and took a nice easy swing and dropped the ball about 3 feet on to the green and it spun backwards off the green. I was kind of mad that it spun off the green but at the same time it was sweet to do that for the first time.

I have never had any problems with MP's, I know a few cuties who are MP's.

Well I can tell you that MP training is not done in vegas, its done in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. About the worst place in the united states if you ask me. I had a friend who was an MP in the air force and she ended up in vegas for her duty station. Anyway if you do become an MP you will be running convoy security if you go to iraq, if you end up going to afghanistan you will be doing foot patrols and all that fun stuff, I know I have been to both places. I saw someone in here telling you to become a officer, I wouldn't reccommend it, I would say stay enlisted, work to make E-5 and then go to warrant officer school. Still get the respect of an officer, a lot of times you get more respect and not as much trash talk behind your back. Just my opinion from eight years of service in the army. Good luck on whatever you do.
  25. They are different clubs so they each will have their advantages, if you don't have a lob wedge yet, I would recommend one, they are awesome once you can hit it the right way.
