  1. Try to do the oposite. Instead of leading the downswing with your lowerbody, try to cut the ball. You could also swing witha smoother tempo, or make your grip a little bit stonger.
  2. Stay away from leadbetter. Has famous golf coaches go, he's the worst...
  3. That's exactly why I play blades. When I tend to miss it usually goes anywhere. Therefore, if missing with a blabe means less distance forward, it also means missing less to the sides. So, instead of hitting a 5i on the toe into the water because it didn't carry the hazard, I hit a blade 5i in the toe and I'm still 10 meters short of that hazard and with a good chance for an up and down, where the oposite would mean atleast 1 more shot due to the penalty of hitting it in the hazard

    Ridiculous

I'd have a chance at making the cut though...

Here's a good story for ya'll: Last thursday through sunday (april 22-25), in Portugal, the Federation organized they're national amateur championship. 4 day's, with a cut in the end of the 3rd day with 50% of the field playing in the last day. You know how everybody tells you that your short game is the most important part of your game right? WROOOOOOOOONG! This golf course we played is like a linksy Augusta National. Very exposed to the Atlantic Ocean winds plus the fw's are surrounded by tall Pine Trees. I was getting around the green in 4 shots (I usually drove the ball in those damned trees and then I tried to punch out but it either went through the fw to the trees on the other side or it would hit a tree and I'd have to repeat the preocess). Then I was making up-and-downs 95.62% of the time, so I was constantly chipping and making the putt for bogeys and doubles. May this be a lesson to you, don't pay that much attention to the short game, because it is overrated... PS: needless to say that I didn't play all 4 days
  6. Well, Nike has everything. Titleist too (if you count FJ SC an BV as a part of titleist). Other than that, you cannot say which one is best. For me, since I've played with titleist clubs all my life, it is Titleist, but for another guy it could be Mizuno, Ping or even callaway
  7. I've returned every club, towel, headcover... I've ever found. I've never left a club on the course, but someone has stollen my 60º twice, my towel, and my cellphone also twice. Also, some golf balls have misteriously disapeared from my golf bag. I know who took my clubs and cellphone, but I have no evidence and I don't want to do anything before I have proof, that he did it.
  8. it depends on how the green slopes, hazards, etc. If there are no dangers, I'd play a 6 iron, hoping it would release
  9. My titleist zm have S300 shafts in them
  10. Recently, during my practice time, I've been hooking the ball way too often (3 out 5 and the rest of them are big blocks). I've tried just about everything to stop it, but everytime it seems just to get worse. Therefore, I've asked my father to film me and according to the films, I was hoping if you could help me. Thanks in advance. The shots were both with a 4 iron. Both started right of the green (about 10 meters) and finished left in the creek (5 meters right of the green)
  11. Well, first of all, I think what is an A for me might be a B for someone else. So, for me, my grades are: Driving: B Willd thing, especially if my tempo/rythm is not good Iron game: B Again, it really deppends on how my rythm is. I could hit 16 GIR's in one day with a good tempo, and the very next day just 3 becaus Ilost my tempo Short game: B I can get up and down fairly easy from tricky lies, but when I have a more simple shot, I kidda tend to over think it Putting: A This is finnaly comming around, and thanks to it, I'm finally scoring better Over all game: B- WHy? just cuz sometimes, I can't score for nothing... Need more consistency, and definaty a better rythm and tempo (ant tips? if so, please send me a private mail)
  12. To me there are 2 slams: Hogan's and Tiger's. Hogan won every major he could have won back in 1953, didn't he? So that should count as a slam (and if you think about it, the only Grand Slam really). I wouldn't consider ~Tiger's a grand slam, but rather just a tiger slam. And yes, he has a really good chance at the Grand Slam this year
  13. Too bad I can't see that in my country :K Either way, there are lots of software that enable the everyday guy (with too much time in his hands) to make that voice mail message. It could turn out to be that his aleged mistress made that up with the help of some geek
  14. As anyone ever told a lie? I mean, as far as we know, he could be sitting at his computer right now, reading this and just laughing his butt off. He is just trying to fool the media as far as I'm concerned. Besides, where did this last girl came out of? Firt it was Rachel, and then it was this Jaimee??? They might as well be 2 " 'round the corner girls " who got paid just to mess Tiger's good image.
  15. He still hasn't admited that he cheated... There could have been something else
  16. From tiger's website Tiger comments on current events I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone. Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means. For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives. The stories in particular that physical violence played any role in the car accident were utterly false and malicious. Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect. But no matter how intense curiosity about public figures can be, there is an important and deep principle at stake which is the right to some simple, human measure of privacy. I realize there are some who don't share my view on that. But for me, the virtue of privacy is one that must be protected in matters that are intimate and within one's own family. Personal sins should not require press releases and problems within a family shouldn't have to mean public confessions. Whatever regrets I have about letting my family down have been shared with and felt by us alone. I have given this a lot of reflection and thought and I believe that there is a point at which I must stick to that principle even though it's difficult. I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves. For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology.
  17. loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool. Funniest thing comming out of this non-issue
  18. Take it from me: I have both. Every time I need to bomb one, the 905R goes about 20 yds further than the 909D2. Control-wise, they are just about the same. In my opinion, the 909 actually lauches the ball lower with the same shaft and loft. But that's just me. I'm keeping this one for a while...
  19. Either way, it's not like its any of our business. If he wants to come out and say what happened fine. If not, who cares. I seriously doubt he will ever say anything. It's his life, it's not the life of those a$$holes who are making up this story... Plus, he could have just wanted to go to the driving range to practice a bit, right??? lol
  20. Setup 2) Wrong, unless the toe of the club is sligtly of the ground. Usualy, it sould point at the beltbuckle. 5) Weight should be EXACTLY on the middle of the feet. Plus, you should only put more weight on your back foot if you are playing a driver, to help to hit up on the ball. Otherwise you won't be able to hit down and through the ball, compressing it. Backsing 10) Club face should match your spine angle. Follow through Your head must not stay down through your follow through. It should and must do what is natural. Take Double D: his head looks ahead to the target before he even hits the golf ball. Doing what is natural helps (alot) your rythm. Other than that, I think it's pretty PAR'fect
  21. Hello. I have this big problem... I've been pushing puts has of lately, and if I have a straight putt, it will go past the hole 3-4 inches outside right if I m aiming to the middle of the cup. I've tried everything, form getting my eyes more over the ball, to gripping the putter more with my fingers rather than more in the palm of my hand. I'm getting pretty frustrated and neither me nor my golf coach can firuge out what is wrong with hit. If you have any advice lying around in your head that would help me, that would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  22. The process varies alot depending on how I feel. Here are some of the most basic thing I do: On the tee Usually I always try to understand how the hole plays (doglegs, elevations, slopes...). Then I try to figure out a way to play away from trouble and try to adjust my shot shape to what I want to do. Since I've started doing this I've hit about 1/2 more fairways per round even though I have about 5-10 more yards to the hole. Remember, the shortest way is not always the best way to get to the hole. After visualizing everything I want to visualize, I take 2 practice swings and just play the shot. When on the fairway/rough It is basically the same thing as when I'm on the tee. But the truth is that you need to know the EXACT distance so you don't fall on traps and " sudden brain deaths ". Then, you have to read the green from wherever you are. Not seeing the details like when you are putting, but more have a feel for the way the green slopes, so that you play your shot to the place where you feel like you can make the putt. For me, I always try to have an uphill left to right putt. Then, see the shot, take 2 practice swings and hit it. Putting I only read the green behind the ball. I start reading the green from the hole to my ball, imagining a white line as where I want my ball to go (like that stuff the tv producers have when they are telecasting a tour event). I get to the ball, aim my ball to where it has to start. Then I check if everythings okay, walk up to the ball, take 2 practice swings, look at the line I imagined, place the putter behind the ball, and bum! back of the hole (most of the times) The truth is that, if you focus on the routine every single time, you will get in the zone easier, faster, more often and you will take more pleasure ot of your golf game!!! Good luck finding something that works for you!

    In a slump?

I bet I beat you all... I've been in this slump for about 4 months... I have a few great rounds in the middle of it, but it's like "Oh, oh! I've got it!!! Ooops, My bad, I don't have it!" It's like there is something in me that "prevents" myself from going to the next level
  24. Along with the changes you are making, you should play tournaments. Otherise, the golf swing will have changed a lot on the practice tee, andnot so much where it really counts
  25. I've actually played golf lefty for fun. I was about 10 yds shorter than with my normal swing. The thing is that I'd it the ball dead straight when I hit it fairly good, but when I missed it just a bit, I'd block the shot about 100 yds to my front... Go figure.
