Macgregor has been in the golfing market for almost a hundred years . Great legends has had them in their bags for decades . Sad they did not have the chance to evolve as fast as the present market demands . Still their iron club line has the touch to bring a golfers dream to reality . I am at present Experimenting with their Tour V foil 675 series irons . Reshafted these to my specks ( Project X 7.0 Tour) Will know in a couple of weeks if these makes any differnce . Will advise ... Stay tuned .

3 Wood ... Mizuno has good woods for your game . Taylormade burner woods also do their thing . Titleist has outstanding woods as per golfing mag reviews for 07 . I love Mizuno woods . Heavy heads , curve face for easy ball launch . Grip down an inch for better control . Maligayang Pasko kabayan . Sana makapag laro tayo pag uwi ko sa atin .

07 Cleaveland Hi-Bore XL has the best launch and distance factors compared to the older models . Expect an average of 10 to 25 yards in distance .
-
18 . A long way to go . Herald not of what he will accomplish but rather the numerous failures he will have undergone and come out a winner . Then perhaps we can say he has earned respect for his game .

The g10 is a good club off fairways . Short rough .... 50/50 . Hitting on divots ... 50/50 overall rating 7 out of ten . New Cleveland Hi-Bore fairway . Better ball launch from fairway lie . Short rough ... good rescue abilities . less in distance but ball launches . Divot hits ok . rated 9/10 . Price wise cheaper than G10 . Standard Fuji Shaft is just right .

Titleist, Adams, or Cleveland

There are a lot of Tileist vokey wedges that are reasonable priced on Ebay . First verify the seller . 3balls does a great job in selling tons of pre-owned clubs and their very good condition rating is well worth it . I have purchased Vokey wedges from them 2 seasons ago and they still spin the ball on the green for my approch shots 120 - 100 yards . -
Anything wrong with a 3/4 swing?
albatroz replied to Chilidipper's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
A lot of Pro teachers teach the 3/4 swing to most of their older students . what This does is to lessen stress on the back and gives more control . Distance of course will suffer a wee bit . I dont think anybody would care if they find all their shots in the fairway . Go ahead and practice this . Be sure to power up on your way down to generate clubhead speed . Doing this in tune with your body motion flowing with a complte follow through will give you a respectable distance. -
Ping G10 Shaft Broken - Advice Please
albatroz replied to ste1010's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
All Major golf manufactures warranty their products against defects .(except if no warranty is etched) . Take it back to where you purchased it together with your proof of purchase . They should write up a report and then replace your hybrid with a new one . -
Which fairwaywoods do you use?
albatroz replied to hypergolf's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Kabayan , try multiple woods from different manufacturers on the driving range . opinion on what may fit you does not hold as it is only you who can decide what club will best give your game a boost . remember this is a game that clubs come at your specs and what ever may be others gold may not be to your game . -
Which fairwaywoods do you use?
albatroz replied to hypergolf's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
i have confidence in my driver and long irons . what ever wood may be in my bag are for display purposes . it would be to any golfers advantage to use what ever wood would fit their game . there are no specific models or brand as of now which we can say hold the advantage . all boils down to what ever keeps your game on the level is what counts most . -
Game Improvement Irons for a High Handicapper
albatroz replied to Island Par's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
No gimmick . They are one of the best game improving irons in the market . Other manufacturers have closely patterned their design in tune with the hibore . For best review you can google hi bore and read the feedbacks left by present users . -
Project X shaft reviews.. anyone please chime in..
albatroz replied to dbornack's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
depending on your game project x were developed to help golfers who are in the mid to low handicap place . it will be better to have yourself fitted first befor investing in these very expensive shafts . i see lots of golfers whom i get the chance to play with shift to irons to be fitted with X shafts . Thing is it never done their game any good and they were only there for display . just because they saw their favorite Tour players bag with project X in them moved them to conclude that it too would be good for their game .. With your specs shown you can be fitted with the X 7.0 . Tour stiff specs for high velocity swing speeds . These are only good for your long irons . Mid irons would be better off with ordinary s400 by true temper . short irons can use Reg flex . dont need muscle and power for short game so i dont see the point of having shafts in tour stiff or X stiff . If you have yourself fitted you will find out that different kinds of shafts will be used for your iron set ... this is normal if you chance on a tour van that visits your vicinity . check them out on your favorite clubmakers website . -
from the very start Hiroshi has ben favored to win the car and the title . Well looks like no one is gonna be a hindrance .

Game Improvement Irons for a High Handicapper
albatroz replied to Island Par's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Kabayan . I dont know if there are a lot of used iron set where you are at . Try to get your hands on a used set of Adams hybrid iron set . The long irons are far more easier to hit balls with . the short irons are standard but has for forgiveness in miss hits . Also take advantage of hiring the services of a local golf pro in your area . There are alot of very good teaching pros in your location . Most of these pros have Asian PGA Tour experience so they know what they preach . -
get the services of a good driving range pro . hit 300 balls a day . play alone and play 3 balls per hole . always hit the worst lie first . learn to do draws and fades . practice doing spins with your wedges . you have the left spin and right spin . this helps keep the ball rolling towards the pin in different pin placement situations . then by 6 months you would have cut your handicap in half . another six months after you would be in the vecinity of 4 to scratch handicap . last but not the least try to one put every hole .this should bring down your handicap another two to three steps .

Have had the chance to play for money with scratch players evry now and then . We have the 5 or less club format . I play with Three clubs . 3 iron , 7 and a putter . Usually i end up even for the round and the others make plus 2 or 3 and end up paying me almost all the time . When i was a kid i only used one club which was a five iron . I learned to make all the shots in golf . This training has help me understand the fundamentals involved in a golf swing .

I play to improve and practice . When in the company of other players i see to it that i concentrate on my game and what plans i have per hole . From time to time i observe others get about their business specially in rough situations where in i accumulate the pros and cons of their golf shot. Having this in mind i picture what i would have done if it were me . that gives me the confidence when i get to be presented a similar situation as i have analized the problem in my mind befor . You get to learn from other players mistakes and use those lessons to improve your game .
-
It is when i go play by myself that i come to realize the numerous mistakes that i have in my game . When there arent many players around i see to it that i hit half a dozen balls and play 3 of the worst lies . Doing this makes me more proficient and in the long run i do not fear anymore where my ball goes as i know i can get it out of the worst situation . Also my handicap has gone down because of the practise i devote to the game . The feeling is kinda eiree at first but once you get used to the solitude you can find peace and solutions to the numerous problems in life . After the game i come out refreashed and ready to tackle life .

Seeing that you use Cobra irons ... i suggest you go for the Cobra M series wedge . These were manufactured to go with the SSi irons . They cost less yet have the best feedback on all Cobra wedges . Google feedback for Cobra m wedges and you will see what i mean .

I have been using a Reebok NFL Equipment crosstrainer with the unconditional black and white Zebra stripes with protruding soft rubber spikes at the sole for the past 3 years . They have given my feet the best comfort specially when i walk bag in tow . They are not anymore being manufactured but i made sure i bought 8 pairs in a closeout sale . So i can now feel comfortable for the rest of my life . For $ 12 a pair i have never felt better (MSRP $140)

Jack is from the bygone ERA of which he was the Greatest . Tiger is the NEW beginning to a Golf age where it will take another hundred years or so to have another human born who can change the face of golfing history . Tiger is not in the History of golf ... He Writes them .
