  1. A home gym is a black baseball bat?(weighted I guess)?
  2. The other favorite is the guys like Petite who said, yeah he injected me twice. News flash, 2 injections wont do anything period, that is why they are called cycles. Its like "I only had two beers ocifer".
  3. You need to call M&M; Tee Times, you pay them a premium for an awesome time. Sux to pay the premium but I played cause of them one year the Monday after the Buick and the course was brutally hard. LOst a ton of balls that just trickled in the rough, they just disappear.
  4. Kick the dog and beat the wife.
  5. High Handicappers can still uncork it. When I was a 12 Handi, I could still hammer over 300 and I played in a handied tourney and my playing partners were like what are you a sandbagger. All I said was watch me chip and sure enough they saw what I meant. Now my short game is much better and the handi is way down. Short game is so huge.
  6. At a +2 handi its hard to believe you need ball striking help.
  7. There reviews don't mean much as they would never Piss Offf an advertiser, always remember that. These Mags have one and only reason for being-make money. Eighty eight percent of these are advertising and without it there is no magazine.
  8. I feel your pain, thats why I moved to SoCal from Beantown so I can play golf on Christmas if I want. I do miss the Pats, Sox and C's, what a year! No more hibernating like a bear in the winta.
  9. Yep, My new flat wrist can draw at will, but it allowed me to slow my swing down and get smoother so the flat is now straight shots, If I speed up I get the draw. This makes long irons easier to hit for me. Long story short, flat wrist for me = less effort same distance, but speeding up causes issues.
  10. Congrats on the LB open scores, very nice, I am watching Tiger play Trip in his am days and his left wrist is flat as a pancacke at the top though. The anouncers even comented on it. I use to cup but my Pro got me flat and it is much easier to get on plane coming down to the inside. Cuped at top had me coming over more on the down. Just my experience.
  11. Nah I am too lazy for that, I practicly pay my Pro now to just watch me hit balls and if something goes wrong he can fix it. I know how to fix it by now but it just gives me confidence in case of catastrophy. So watching videos of other swings is nice but ya need someone to watch your swing I believe. I use to hit range balls all day and think I knew the problems to left or right shots but I could never fix it. Then my Pro "watched" my swing and we began our journey. Proud to say things are awesome.
  12. Yep, if you can hit your 5 iron 180 I am guessing your driver problem is not distance but accuracy and O.B. HOw about you learn to hit every club in ya bag including the driver and enjoy the game even more. Yeah I too tried your schtick and played a tourney with all 7 irons off the tee in the fairway at 180 yards all day. I made the 1st day cut but hated myself and did not enjoy the day. I felt like a non golfer. Day 2 hit driver and got in trouble but hit some great bombs that felt awesome and I felt real again.
  13. Yes, the answer lies here. Complain to Corporate you will get everything ya want. I use to run hotels and at the Manager level they are trying to watch their store bottom line every penny, but when someone calls corporate they get whatever they want. That 140 write off may be alot to the GM but peanuts to Corporate. See that could be that GM's 5k write off that month and he is in trouble, corp could care less.
  14. I use the original BB irons and they are huge. My Pro calls the gardening tools and rips on me for using the, but I hit em nice, if it aint broke. The 2o's look nice enjoy. If ya can get fitted do it!
  15. Yep, I was struggling and we spent an entire lesson with 1/4 SW trying to hit punches with back of my left wrist flat(I am Righty). It was so very difficult for me because I tend to wrist the bottom and hit very high shots. It really improved my contact and crispness. Of course after the lesson I spent a week hitting nada but punch SW till I ingrained the feel, now its second nature. The grooves on my SW are worn nicely.
  16. Perimmon feels awesome when hit right but not as much forgiveness as the Metal woods.
  17. National Average of 200 yards for zero to scratch? No way, they suck that bad. 200 yards is a bunt with a driver for a player that low.
  18. Yeah, definately watch him give lessons to a few people, I did this while I hit balls I just observed his style and if I thought we would be a good fit. I also listened to the things he tought his students and made sure he didn't have a cookie cutter aproach. I ended up choosing my pro because I like the way he treated his students and his aproach wasnt overly technical and very observational to the students needs. THere were many other Pros on the range with big yellow computer boxes and putting their clients swing through computr monitoring and then analyzing swing positions, not for me! Get a package of half hours, an hour is too long. I leave every lesson knowing what to work on between sessions. I do my homework between lessons and the improvement is awesome.
  19. "2 eye" thats all eye heard Brian say, is that the cool way to say it now? 7 eye, 4 eye, 2 eye?
  20. Back workout-Wide grip Front Pull downs, close grip strict front pull downs, Cable Rows, hyperextensions. Only do this once a week, 2 at the most, hit em hard, 1 gram protein per bodyweight and you will get strong. Immediately post workout, protein drink.
  21. I think it still comes down to this being an issue over how he left not why he left. If he called Tiger himself and said I cant walk and play well with these evil shinsplints I am sorry but I have to WD, Tiger says O.K. I understand. Anyone with shinsplints can tell you they are bad news and very very painful
  22. Full cord tears up my hands too much.
  23. Number one, do not do hammer curls. Your biceps are small, your Back muscles are huge. So, if you do want to lift for golf you should build up your back. Think about it, I can curl 135lbs. but can pull down close to 300 lbs, now what is stronger? I gain huge distance by turning my shoulders and hips and letting my body not my arms hit it. Under pressure its easier to swing with the big muscles rather than when your arms and hands are shaking. Just turn back and turn thru.
  24. You can learn every tip or swing there is and take all the lessons you want but you have to do your homework. Example, take a lesson once a week and do nothing but show up the next week and take another lesson, then getting frustrated that you are not getting better, or blaming your Pro. If you take what your Pro taught you to work on and actually worked on it and did your homework (hit balls)you would improve. A Lesson or swing tip needs to be ingrained into your body and it takes time. There is no instant fix. I look at it as a journey. My 2 cents.
  25. Its public, you can roll of there midweek for fifty.
