  1. The things you want to fix is the reason to be fitted and find out if its the shaft, club or your swing.
  2. The video is so quick, it looks like your getting the hands to high and leading with the hips making you cast the club creating a slice,as you cannot square the face with the hips ahead of the arms.
  3. Camera angle makes it look that way as almost all the cameras are off to the right or left. If a camera person does get right behind them them will tell them to move off to one side.
  4. Shot 74 today. 39/35 par 70. tried a risky shot on 18 and took a 7 on the par 5.
  5. You must be the fool, If Jack would have had the Technology He would have used it. If you think the yardage markers on all courses or correct than your a fool. May every golfer in front of you be eighty years old and feel they need to walk sixty five yards to the green from the rough and back on every shot to the green so they can shoot their 120 score. If you feel this is a hack site just move on and have a good day.
  6. golfing this time of the year is so funny sometimes. Last Thur 74, Fri 84 and yesterday I shot 80. Cold, windy with spots of rain. Not complaining, soon the snow will fall and the course is not open for play.
  7. Smart practice will get the handicap down, practice what's hurting your game. I have a couple of wedges and putters in the house and practice the three foot wedge shots all the time. helps the hand eye coordination, around the greens i'm just as likly to chip it in from all the practice at home. Only go to the dome 1-2 times a week, then I only hit 30-40 balls.
  8. Hiring good people takes a lot of stress off both side of the business, from the starters, rangers cashiers, mowers and the green superintendent. Find a part time job or play in the mornings during the week and observe how many people it takes to keep the course in good condition and running pretty smoothly. Most of the customers will have their ideas how to make it better, usually to fit their game. Haha. Two somes will always complain about slow play from the three foursomes in front of them even tho they played 18 in four and a half hours an a weekend, foursomes will complain about the old people in front, looking for balls, not hitting the ball very good not letting them play through even though their right behind the group in front of them, and then you have the groups that should not be on a course but they over heard how much fun golf is from you so they paid their money and want to play, (in front of you). stress what stress, just keep smiling and tell them you'll get someone to take care of it.
  9. You don't say which side of management you wish to get into. you have the course side, which a normal business degree will get you in the door or the maintenance side where you need degrees in all the chemicals and green care for keeping the course healthy and playable.
  10. Join a club for all the above reasons. Some clubs have the option of free cart for an additional fee. Also if you have to leave your round early or you only want to play a few holes your not out the green fees.
  11. If you handicap of 0.6 is correct you should not need any help choosing a set of irons.
  12. first you need to find a putting style you like. straight back and thru or with a small arc. some use only a shoulder turn others like a little flip with the wrist. work on hitting straight four footers then adjust the back swing for longer putts. remember all your putts are straight, don't try to put spin on the ball. work on reading greens and putt to the break with the correct speed. the only real control you have is speed and line. when you get those two down your putting will improve.
  13. sounds like your way to steep with your swing. the divot should be shallow if at all and in front of the ball. Most shots do not require you to have a steep swing. Why would you want a flop shot with a pitching wedge?
  14. I usually play the pro v and pro v1 but I also like the Nike PD red series.
  15. I go to the dome once or twice a week and hit about 30 balls, only work on the swing and make sure I hit solid shot with a good turn. Really doe's no good to go pound 90 balls with no reason other than to just be hitting the balls.
  16. I would use a 19* hybrid and a six or 8 iron. putting with the hybrid is pretty easy, take a few strokes on the practice green before you start.
  17. This really should be what yardage do you like to play from. I've seen white tees from 5400 to 6200 and blue tees from 5700 -6800 yds. I like yardages around 6300 yrds.
  18. It all comes down to making the shot with the club you think will put you on the green, not a maybe thought in your head.
  19. I didn't vote. I can go weeks without losing a ball then lose 2-3 in one round and I play 4-6 round a week. This year in a 20 week league I did not lose a ball for 19 weeks then the last night I lost three.
  20. I use playing alone time for practice and try hitting shots I'd not try to hit while playing for a score.
  21. Many players don't know or forgot about the distance. most groups just play drop the ball and take a penalty to speed up the play. If you think your ok and can't find your ball you usually can't go back to the tee to hit another, soon you find yourself playing that way all the time in matches with your friends. Not as many people in tournaments to be on top of the correct rules and end up playing modified rules for speeding up the game and believe their playing by the rules. Some are so cheap they will play with balls I'd throw out of my shag bag. Many people can't play to their handicap because when forced to play by all the rules the strokes really add up fast.
  22. I've playe some exc. courses that are actually harder than a reg course. the smaller greens and contour of the lay out just makes you think your shot before you hit or it will make your score ballon higher than normal.
  23. con grats on the improvement. Your next goal should be in the putting, you didn't say putting was a problem but as you inprove you'll not try to make as many birdies but lag up to easy par putts. the birdies will com. I see many good golfers trying for that 10 foot birdie and hit five foot pass and not be able to make the par putt.
  24. I go in the golf stores all the time and I really don't need anything I just like to into look. I also have this habit of seeing all the golf courses when we travel, going 70 mph and off in the distance I see a little patch of green and say theres a golf course, my wife laughs and asks how I know and I tell her the car wants to go that way and I have to fight the urge to make the turn. HA ha
  25. Sure have, I'd be playing real good and think this shot i'll put a little more back spin on the ball and end up hitting thirty yrds over the green.
