did u at least tip him?

short 210 yard "risk reward" par 4 that forces you to play a draw around these trees. well the yellow circle is where my tee shot hit and the red was a huge hawk that i didnt see till i started walking closer to the tree. really that hawk never moved after having a ball rocket a foot by him. i kinda was scared walking down the fairway that he would sink his claws into me or something lol

What's the hottest weather you've ever golfed in?
Lost-Ball replied to divot dave's topic in Golf Talk
did you hear how much they were whinning about how hot it was at the true southern classic in madison MS. i live 15 mins away from madison. it wasnt nothing compare to what it was like a few weeks ago. they arent used to all this humidity we have. now if it would of been in the 100's like a few weeks ago with the same or worst humidity they would really be passing out lol -
i have all that but its just telling you total distance with roll and all. i wanna know carry. no elevated tees and wind and factoring in this and that just tee it up, hit it, and get some real numbers. if i was to go by my gps thing im averaging in the 270s

i honestly cant say how long im hitting it. i mean i could talk all day about how long it goes on the golf course but thats different with roll and slopes and bla bla bla. everytime ive tried to go to D.S.G.s their tracker thing is always down. at the driving range i have never clearly seen the point were the signs are measured from. its an outdoor driving range where they move the line every other day. sometime it looks like im hitting the ball 270 - 290 and some times it looks like im hitting it 240 - 260 and sometimes it looks like im barely getting it pass the 200 yard sign. id love to really test out the two different shafts i have for my RBZ driver and compare carry, launch angle, roll and all that but dont seem like thats gonna happen.

Do yellow balls perform the same as white?
Lost-Ball replied to Artimas's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
RACIST!!!! -
i had a square headed driver and it was good for hitting straight but they are heavier and have more drag to them slowing your swing speed down.

THIS! i have a friend i play with regularly and he tries to pull off all kinds of shots thats not in his bag of tricks and 100% of the time tops it 50 yrds or slices it bad. he refuses to hit his hybrid off a tee to at least get him 200 yards in the fairway and goes with driver to over swing it, top it, and roll it maybe 100 yards out. oh yea and that fact that he stands over each shot dead still for like 10-20 seconds before starting his swing only to top the ball again doesnt help. if you know you cant hit your woods off the deck just hit something u know will be findable. who knows everyone else might shank their in the woods and your shot saves the hole.

the harder you swing at it the less likely you are to be able to find it. i think keys to consistence "long" drives are 1. hitting the ball in the center of the club face 2. using your upper AND lower body. not just swing your arms fast 3. good balance and timing 4. LAG and trajectory look at old Freddy Couples. hes still crushing the ball at his age and finding fairways and it looks like hes just taking a smooth practice swing.

Battle Srixon: q star versus AD333
Lost-Ball replied to misterjohn's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
i must be crazy but i tried the ad333's a handful of times and hated them. i recently have played the srixon yellow trispeed tours and they seem nice. maybe its all just in my head -
playing a par 5 at a course where the houses are too close on the course. my 3rd shot got me hole high right of the green. i hit/bladed my 56* sand wedge and it hits the flag stick with some heat just below where the flag is attrached and drops straight in the hole for a birdie. if it wouldnt of hit the flag stick it would of hit the big 4ft X 4ft one piece glass window of the house that was right in the direction of my ball

I'm working on playing golf at least twice a week and being comfortable finding my swing and not being a robot.

Are you stuck on a glove?
Lost-Ball replied to ApocG10's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
really? the new warbirds feel stiff as can be to me.i wear a medium large and i could barely close my hand with that stupid glove on. yes u have to give them time to break in but no thanks. tried on the TM R11 and it "fit like a glove" . i like the older warbirds from a few years ago -
Academy sports had left handed wedges for $0.88. Yes really
-
i might only get 8-10 mpg but its pure driving pleasure!!!!

Buying a new 3 wood, any help?
Lost-Ball replied to Brendank98's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
RBZ 3 wood is the best golf purchase ive ever made!!! -
lol sorry but yea thats bad. i havent play many scrambles but i think -16 to -18 normally wins them lol

ive switched over to yellow balls and really digging the Titleist dt solo, NXT tour, and Srixon tri speed. my average swing speed is 95 mph. they dont go crazy with side spin unless i made a horrible swing and they have decent stopping power hitting into greens. the biggest thing for me is how they feel hitting off my irons. ive hit balls that felt like a mishit even when i hit them dead center of the clubface. i love hitting iron shots and feeling feedback from the club on my irons. hitting a ball dead flush and it feeling like u didnt even hit a ball at all is a great feeling!
-
i couldn't play without my 56* wedge.
-
Fred couples and Jason Dufner. definitly the kind of pro player i would be. laid back, smooth form, liked by many but not huge success winning everything i play in.
-
my 56* is my favorite and most used wedge.

i have the RBZ 3 wood and yes it does go long and is easy to hit. a couple of times i have smashed this just right and hit it further than my RBZ driver off the tee. have hit it 240 off the deck to make those par 5s reachable in two and its easy to hit with a slight draw for me which is the shot i like to hit. best investment in my bag!
