I have a terrible time putting with them.

But it can lead to a side hill putt for par.If it is below the hole you usually have a straight uphill putt left.

I cant find the freaks anymore.

The most impressive part of the round was he had only 11 putts through 13 holes. Thats putt putt type of stats.

My strangest experience was when I actually got 2 birdies in a row.

Here's the scenario. I have always been around a 12-16 handicap. when I was younger i could get away with some mistakes since I could hit the ball a long way. Now that I'm creeping toward 50 I decided to change my swing a little to become a better ball striker with my irons. Thanks to all the great info on here I have gotten much better with my solid ball contact. The old problem was every round I would hit numerous shots "fat" due to lagging behind on the swing. After watch videos on proper angle lean for the shaft and getting more weight on my front foot I have been hitting the ball solid and long. Now lies the problem. Since I have made this adjustment I hit everything about 20 feet to the right like a straight push. then when I go and aim left to compensate for it I hit the dang thing straight as an arrow left right where I was aiming. Any advise?

I shortened mine 1 inch and it has been great. more fairways and actually longer drives because I can swing it faster

I usually shoot in thew low 80's but this year I was having a huge mental break down. everytime I hit a bad shot i all i would think about was damm over par on this hole and it would start to add up to the point I would piss the whole round away.ended up being a 13 handicap at league and wanted to quit. 1 trick I used to help with my mental game was forget about scoring par. I went with the mid set of I'm a bogy golfer so shoot for it. I take all holes and add a shot to it. So if I shoot bogy I shot a 90. Now if I get 3-5 regular pars a round or maybe a real birdie I'm at 87-85. I know it sounds stupid but it takes pressure off of scoring and lets me be relaxed. After 4 week of this I'm back to shooting in the lower 80's

I have a friend that used to be a Marshal at some of the pga events and got to know Freddie. He told me that his shoulders are double jointed. Not sure of the validity of it but it does make sents if you look at his swing.

Go and hit different ones. We went last weekend to Golfsmith as by buddy was looking for a new set. He was able to hit as many different clubs as he wanted till he found a set that worked for him. He was hitting a six iron from various sets untill he hit the new Callaway Razors. I was suprised at the difference in accuracy and distance between them. I hit them and they were crap for me. Bottom line is no one can tell you what to get.

They were replaced by the Callaway warbirds.

If your taking that big a of a divot your hitting down on the ball too much thus delofting the club. example if your 7 iron used to be 155 yrds and you are now hitting it 195 the face angle is steeper so in essence you made your 7 iron a 4 iron. Go to the range and practice trying to pick the ball off the ground instead of taking such a big divot. Plus it sounds like you maybe locking your wrists and not properly following through.

I am kinda odd. I use both. If I want a straight or a slight draw I use interlocking but if i want to fade it i switch to overlap. I know it sounds goofy but it works for me

Cheaper to go grab a couple of rocks. We tried them at an outing a couple of years ago. All of us are pretty long off the tee. Them things sucked. You wont see much difference in them unless you putt with them because they are smaller.

How can you judge your distance by the use of beat up range balls? Hech around here they are so bad I can barely get my wedge to go 100 yrds.

Last week in league I was teeing off on a par 4 slightly elevated tee box. I hit a low screamer and unknown to me there was a little sparrow that was right in front of the tee box and the poor little sucker pick the wrong time to try to fly away. You know what happens when you have a swing speed of 110 and you hit a little bird 10 feet off the tee box? It looks like someone put a grenade up the little suckers arse, nothing but feathers. No literally nothing but feathers left. Pretty bad when I sometimes have trouble hitting a 50 yrs wide fairway but can smoke a bird not much bigger than a golf ball. LOL

I change from interlocking to overlap. I find my distance control on short touchy shots it also better.

I gave up using s tee. Since I have been hitting the ball off the ground I have been getting much better contact and direction
