  1. SRAM Rival shifters. SRAM Apex brakes. BB30 bottom bracket.
  2. Good, uh bad stuff.
  3. You aren't going to believe this. Whole bike. Brand new: $1850! Had a recent $1,000 price drop. End of year. Maybe new model coming? Fuji Gran Fondo taking a bite out of sales?
  4. Just ordered this: Specialized Tarmac Elite Rival Mid-Compact
  5. Update: Liking them more and more every time out. Can play a low draw or controlled fade easily. Was under a tree branch yesterday and played a low punch draw into the green with a 7 iron. Dropped a slight fade from the PW to 3 inches on a 130 yard par 3. Who said GI irons aren't workable? :) . Really really like them.
  6. Got my eye on a Snickers bag...
  7. Was on the course the other day with a friend. He had a handheld Garmin. I had the Garmin Approach1 watch. There were times we were 10 yards off. Go figure.
  8. All kidding aside it would look good in the bed of this:
  9. Nice thing about this Snickers bag, you can play 36 holes during the day, take it home and get gorged to the bejesus belt. Buddies for life, I say.
  10. Cleveland CG16 Tour. Thin topline, not as much cavity or sole as other cavity irons. Great feel. Workable like a blade. Forgiving. What's not to like?
  11. Can't wait until the loafers/no socks thing reaches it's ultimate demise. What are these guys thinking?
  12. Bill Murray: 1) Golf: solid 10. Very tacky. 2) Hunting: 1. Perfect for it's intended use. 3) Hunting golf balls: Have to ponder the clash for bit.
  13. I use regular gloves and DriTac grips. Awesome grip they provide. But as with most all Winn grips, they will probably be worn out in one season . Oh well. But they provide excellent wet grip. In fact many times I have to wet them and that increases the grip.
  14. 1) Lens quality 2) Almost equally important is the fit. Make sure the frame fits you. Make sure the bottom edge of the lens isn't too short at address to where it interferes with line of sight with the ball. 3) Polarized lenses can interfere with reading greens. It takes the glare off the grass but sometimes that is a visual clue to grain and slope.
  15. Go Vokey. They are cast now but feel just like my forged Cleveland 900s. SM4 is a great wedge. Hard to go wrong with them. Btw I really disliked the new Cleveland 588.
  16. Depends on how he's playing. Playing well, no limp. Playing badly, he won't be able to walk. Right out of the Michelle Wie excuse handbook...
  17. Yeah, they need to hire a fashion expert but not that guy on GC. Errr, he'd have them all in pink and bows. Yeah, I think tasteful red, white, and blue is the only way to go.
  18. Hate is a media-inspired notion in itself...
  19. I think he is fine for GHoF pick. There's more to it than winning majors. He's been a good advocate for golf. Shoot, being on the Ryder Cup/ Pres Cup 5 times and Captain of the President's Cup is enough in my book. At least 5 times he was one of the top golfers in the USA. That's nothing to scoff at. Mark O'Meara deserves it also. The only thing I can see to scoff at is his age. But hey, his PGA career is most likely done. Being on the Senior Tour and still playing is nothing in my book for still being an active player. We certainly could do worse than Freddie being in the Hall.
  20. Lets see. I went from an Orlimar to a G5 to an R11s. Every 5 + years? Why would you need a new driver every year? It's hard to reason them right. Every year all you are doing is getting used to a new club.
  21. Sometimes I grip my clubs too high on the grip and the butt touches my hand. Oh no it's "anchored". Guess I better ban my 4 iron.
  22. Why would you count mishits in the first place? The idea was which is longer. Why would you mishit a club to determine that?
  23. So, if persimmon was used a lot because it was a hard, dense wood, why was there always a plastic insert in the hitting area? Why not just make a plastic club? Of course this a moot point today, but...
  24. Sure, what you want? I'll send it to you for $500.
