  1. You've missed the most important part. HAVING FUN. While I am a single digit handicap, I enjoy playing with people that are fun. I could care if that is a low handicap player someone that can't break 120. For me it's having fun.
  2. With that handicap my first suggestion is to move up a set of tees if possible. 6,500 might be a bit long. Might want to try out the PGA move up program or whatever they call it. Good luck finding some playing partners but when it comes down to it, you can improve playing with anyone. When it comes down to it all I want is fun people to play with.
  3. Lemme know how they are
  4. Cleveland online wedge fitting system. Very nice. http://www.clevelandgolf.com/US_wedge_fitting_system.html
  5. I carry two "sand wedges". 1) 54 degree Cleveland with very low bounce. Great in wet/thin sand and from a fairway. 2) 56 degree Odyssey with 10* bounce. Great in fluffy grass and fluffy sand. If you carry two utility wedges, I'd consider one with low bounce and one with medium to high bounce.
  6. You're a DICK! That's the truth. Gees dude, chill.
  7. 78 with a double bogie.
  8. CG 16s came with Dynamic Golds. Had Rifles in the KZGs.
  9. Went to Dick's. Tried an RBZ 3wd. He told me the distances. Won't say what it was but it was close to my driver distance. I thought "bull crap". Needed a 3 wood anyway and got it. All I can say is I'm sorry for thinking the guy was bullshitting me....lol.
  10. My KZGs were like 12 years old. Went to demo some Mizunos. Hit the Mp69. Liked it but hits high on the face were horrible. Just happened to grab a CG16 and kept going back to it. Took it on the course and really liked it. Nice clubs. Getting used to them now. Yardages are way different.
  11. Just went the other direction. From KZG ZO to Cleveland CG 16. I swear I haven't lost any feel at all.
  12. Looks like the plating ( are they plated?) is bubbling up. I had 2 irons in my KZG set do that. KZG replaced them.
  13. Not as much as I paid for it...
  14. Many private clubs give a discount rate to it's members and makes the final price comparable. Plus you have someone to work with if something goes wrong. Plus the money stays in the club or local. I'm a local business owner and pretty much always search out local people.
  15. Coming out of KZG ZO forged irons I've had for about 10-12 years. I'm a ~5 handicap. So why the "game improvement" irons? Ah, why not? I got the Black Pearl color. Very easy on the eyes. - 4 iron is virtually impossible to mishit. I can't tell you the last time I hit my 4 iron in my other set because it was so hard to hit. Order a 3 iron? - around the greens the extra material on the bottom of clubs is going to take some getting used to. - they are light in weight. Going to play them and see if I can get used to it. If not I'll weight them some. - good bite on approach shots especially on a fade. - they are very workable much to my surprise. - good feel for a cast cavity back for fairway shots. A little clunky around the green. Lack of weight right now is unnerving. - clubs are marked one club strong. Basically I just hit the next club "down" for the yardage. Maybe a bit strong yet. I have a very honest shop owner. He told me they'd be around $500(list price like $699). When they came in he said they had a price drop and charged me just $399(4-PW). He very easily could have pocketed the rest but did not. THIS is why I deal with local shops! Get to know your local guy and he might just work with you. So far I am pleased with the clubs. The rest will work itself out as I get used to them. Hoping my short bump and runs come around quickly as that is where I make up a lot of strokes.
  16. 6 iron. Rarely used. Just not at that yardage much. Has been the same my whole golf "career", some 35 years.
  17. "mediocre short game". "horrible bunker play". Hmm, Seems you know what to work on already.
  18. I have a novel idea here. This is going to take the golfing industry by storm. Stick with me as this is a bit complicated and hasn't been done for many, many years. How about we have a show where professional golfers compete for money and we show the actual leaders of the match? Is that not a great idea!
  19. I guess those of us with Android cases with kickstands that we've used for a few years need not apply?
  20. For us a snowman was just an 8, for obvious reasons. 88 might be a snow couple. Kinda like the blizzard though.
  21. This thread is from 2007? Holy thread merge Batman! Current 5 iron(KZG ZO) 175 cut, 180 slight draw, 185 maxed out. New set(Cleveland CG-16) projection for 5 iron: 195
  22. Whatever he's doing it's working.....as of late. But I think the big thing that is helping him lately is doing his own numbers.
  23. Seems like running his own yardage numbers has helped him. You think he will continue this?
  24. Awesome for her. She deserves to be talked about unlike MW. Refused money? Only when wshe entered the tournament. Invite to the Master's...Evian Masters, yeah. The REAL Masters, no way. Annika was a joke playing playing on an easy men's course. What do you think this kid could do at the Masters? She wouldn't break 100.
