here's a curve ball....why not graphite shafts to suit how you load the club.....a better choice, do it before the pro's commence using graphite in their irons... and then you will truly be able to tell your buddies your not a sheep

or you can hit a knuckle fade.....but you better have a decent swing ..align your body to where you want the ball to start ..align the clubface between where you want the ball to start and the primary target, so the ball can land and run out to the primary target ..position the ball slightly forward ..and swing with an in to out swing

turn your hips rather than sliding them laterally, and you will be able to straighten your lead leg, rather than having it bowed at the finish. dont force your weight transfer trying to hit the ball hard causing the slide.

test was only with the balatas.....modern ball would be interesting, i know of guys who use persimmon with the modern ball and have excellent results.

not so much as a scam, but more like snake oil....in regards to the distances. a test with a 693 persimmon with titleist 100 balatas from the 80's were going just as far as a 2012 titanium head driver, and the longest was 287 yards with the persimmon.....not much has changed in distance, just feel, looks, and forgiveness.

No im not, because parrallax doesnt exist here, parrallax must have a viewpoint, a subject...which we have here....and a distant background, which is of no use here because we are not trying to focus on the golfer with regards to depth of view, the vid-camera used here does not have a rangefinder viewing system where one has to focus on an object and uses infinity....eg: viewing subject left or right of the actual lens and sensor. what you see here in these images is what you see in the viewfinder, its a direct line with the eye over the sensor....the bullshiit theory of parrallax with vid-cams does not exist, when it suits individuals to use it should be shot down.....parrallax is only used to bring a subject into focus. ...and please dont even try using the 2D, 3D rubbish..... wont be long before teachers incorporate such tripe into the golf swing......modern golf is all about money...therefore everyone has an agenda, therefore they will spin whatever they want to fit in their little vortex of goodies to the unassuming public......you only have to listen to the club manufacturers for such stupidity....cheers.

go buy a used 3 iron blade and practice with that, while playing your cavity irons...you'll know after a couple of months.

back to the OP. everyone is different, build, hand size, flexibility, leg strength,core strength, weight, equipment, application etc etc. not being simplistic...what you really want to do is know where you and the club+"handle" is at IMPACT . forget the backswing, that does not hit the ball, but if you understand impact and beyond, the backswing will come. look at Furyk, his impact is pure... 2012 ...3rd in scoring averages(to mciiroy and woods)...4th in driving accuracy and NOT once is he "on plane".....

no short cuts in golf....practice with right technique, and more importantly for the short game, feel and touch, comes only with practice....once you have this, you can hit the ball from anywhere in your stance. in the short game...steer the club is FEAR....swing it....cheers.
