Good Evening! Good to see another Spokane resident on here. I searched "theft" on here because I lost (Theft?) a 6 iron out of my bag during a weds night outing recently. Nice AP2 Titleist 6 iron; there during the range session, later just gone. Searched, backtracked, etc, nothing. I am on the lookout on craigslist / ebay; not holding my breath. I feel your pain!! Definitely keeping an eye on my clubs from now on!! Mike

Not much angers me but I'll add this...And maybe this is a little more advanced etiquitte but its where the pin is laid while you are putting. I try to gauge which direction my partners are putting to/from and make sure it wont interfere. I will also lay the pin uphill from the hole and pointed at it. I have played with some that will lay the pin perpendicular and downhill from the hole, while I have a downhill breaking putt in that direction....ugh! Mike

Hi! I live here in Spokane and there are plenty of challenging and affordable options here. The two better courses are Circling Raven at the CDA casino and then Palouse Ridge in Pullman at the university. I would say that Indian Canyon, Qualchan, and Meadowwood are the best City/County options. Mike

I have to agree with this....I was having some minor lower back pain for quite awhile, and started to see a chiropractor for it. Through him I figured out the importance of carrying extra pounds on your body and how it impacts everything, and through diet and exercise lost around 35lbs. Guess what? After losing the weight, most of the back pain was gone! Another way that helped my back pain was to walk the course as much as possible; now I walk every time I play. Its good for you too! mike

I bought a Sun Mountain micro cart bag for my similarly-named cart....and it has 15 dividers/holes/etc for clubs....and I had to ask myself why??? If only 14 clubs legal?? Ball retriever???

It's a funny game like that.... If you swing and try to hit the ball...and miss....then it counts as a stroke.... If you make a practice swing and accidentally hit the ball....stroke If you address the ball on the tee and knock it off the tee...not a stroke If you address the ball while in the fairway and touch the ball and it moves....stroke if you're on the putting green and address the ball and it moves, yet settles back into its original place (oscillation)....not a stroke... Look it up....

Locally Red for front, White for middle, and blue for back is what im used to around here....although there is a local course that has all white pins on the green, but has different clolor flags at the 150yd marker to indicate pin position....red, white, blue...etc to indicate where the pin is for that day

Hi! I was looking for a new driver this last winter and ended up buying into the I-Mix system. I ended up with a 10 degree and a 8.5 degree head, with three or four shafts of differing flexes and weights. I liked the 10 degree, but I like the 8.5 better; doesn't hook as much! Anyways, most of the shafts can be had pretty cheaply online at ebay etc, and there's a guide for the different shaft specs at Callaway's website. Grab a couple of shafts and see what fits and if not sell them to someone else! (I also had a couple of the shafts trimmed down 3/4", and they seem to work much better for me) Hope this helps! Mike

First time out this year, shot 50/44 for 94....ugh....definitely will get better the next few times out!

I have an I-golf Neo...Fits perfectly in my pocket....I pull it out and let it stabilize for a few seconds before selecting shot etc. Never had any accuracy issues!

Ive been very busy this off-season....I hope I'm done and set for the upcoming year. So far I've purchased: - New drivers, 2 Callaway FT-9 IMIX 8.5 and 10 degree heads with a couple shafts for each to match - Fairway wood, Callaway FT 13 degree - 2H, Callaway FT - Set of wedges, 52, 56, and 60 degree Cleveland CG12's on sale Hoping the weather warms up soon!!!! I bought a FT Tour 13 degree 3 wood just recently and I love it! I got it from Callaway used for about half the price of a brand new one, and it looks new to me! Have only hit it indoors at one of the local simulators but hope to hit it outdoors when it warms up a bit.....I bought a FT 2H at the same time; a great match to go with the 3 wood. Mike

Im finishing up my setup for next year and I have a 13 degree ft and a 18 degree ft 2h on the way to go with my 8.5 Ft-9 and 24 degree 4h...I hope these work out when the weather finally warms up....

Meh....Enjoy it while you can, very few of the courses here in Spokane are still open, most are closed up for the winter....We will have the "snow that sticks all winter" in the next few weeks then no range, no golf whatsoever until March or so......Unless you wish to drive west or down to Tri-Cities...

How exactly do you "blow out" a shaft?? How do you know its been blown out?? Just curious...

The two things I can think of are to not overswing and let your wrists break down at the top, and the other thing that helped me was going to a mid-size grip, as my hands are a little big....The bigger grip helped with struggling to hold the club....

Hey everyone! Got my first hole in one today! Nice high hybrid 4 into a 200 yd par 3...hit the green...bounced twice...and rolled right in!!! mike

Hey everyone....I made three personal bests today....I shot a 76 overall, a 36 on the front 9, and best of all, a hole in one!!!

I agree with the others...have fun!! Playing in scrambles I've found that even with good players and shooting maybe 6 or 7 under, we still don't come close to winning, especially when the tourney is for a charity and they sell all the extras such as ladies tees, tosses, kicks, mulligans, string, etc. People usually turn in outrageous scores such as 30 under, so the best bet is to relax, have fun, drink a few, and hopefully win something cool in the raffle or near pin/long drive.....

Yeah...I saw them once in Las Vegas and again on the concert tour earlier this year. What I didnt know at the time is the guys in the blue masks arent the same guys for every show...Like a regualr rock band...I found this out cause I was talking about the show and a buddy was talking about how they were in Vegas the same day...Did some research on their site and there are bunches of blue men performing every day around the country....Still a great show though!

Hey everyone! Im trying to figure out how to create a signature so I can list the clubs that I have, for some reason I don't have the option to add a signature when I reply, and I can't find anywhere in my profile to create one....anyone?? Anyways, sorry for the thread jack....I bought some used (new to me!) Titleist 755's that I really like, and also bought a Cally FT-5 9 degree stiff that I love too!! Im set for the year and maybe for the next few!!! Mike

I shot an 83 today, I think best ever for me! Granted the course was a pretty easy par 70 (esmeralda in spokane,) I hit my irons solidly and I tried the "hit chips using putter grip" tip and I did extremely well. Fourth time out this year and getting better!!! Mike

I say other...Especially frustrating is when you hit a beautiful drive to the middle of the fairway and proceed to chunk your supposedly easy iron approach shot to the green to set yourself up for birdie!!!
