  1. I joined. email is aevans_72@yahoo.com and my team is "get in the hole"
  2. I shot an 83 two years ago, which was my first year. prior to that, my best score was 88. but i averaged around 95. once you break 90, things really get a lot easier
  3. I agree with you, I don't understand their logic. It's really no easier than opening up a 56* or 54*?
  4. 82.. swirling winds made things tricky, but i played decent. just made some bad swings at bad moments and ended up with two seven's and two six's on the card
  5. Brooklyn (Go Hard) by Jay-Z Pretty beast...
  6. me and my friend were playing some of our "all-day, everyday" summer golf, when it started to pour down rain. so we drove our cart (don't normally drive but i guess i was lucky we did) into a shed out on the course. The rain eases up to a slight drizzle, so we head back out to play. We got about 10 feet out of the shed and ice starts pouring down like crazy, the wind picks up to idk how many mph, and we couldn't see anything anywhere because of the hail. so we have the cart floored trying to make it to his house asap, and we're trying to block ourselves with each other in order not to get whipped by the ice, which seemed like it was flying horizontally at about 80 mph. anyway, we made it to his house and let the storm calm down. when we go back outside it looks like a hurricane has ripped through. uprooted dogwood trees, huge limbs down, flagpoles in the middle of the fairway. it was INSANE (and awesome) the weirdest thing was that it actually hailed, because it was like 90 degrees outside, in the middle of July??
  7. Remember the cliche, "bet your money against the guy with the new bag and shiny clubs, but don't bet the guy with the old, faded bag and worn-out clubs with brand-new grips"
  8. Hey! I use a baseball grip! And Paul Azinger used to play with a baseball grip. Don't know if he still does though
  9. I play the Adams A3 and i love them. but i would probably go with the r7's
  10. thanks for the reviews. i'll definitley be getting one now.
  11. For any fitness freaks here, what do you think about the Fitness Quest Bosu Trainer? You know, the little balance ball that looks like a exercise ball cut in half? I'm just looking for user reviews to see what you guys think. I'm willing to pay for it, just don't want to buy it blind
  12. yes! i can't go consecutive days without playing golf, and I don't like to miss 1 day a week. so my standards are: - temp at or above 20 - wind less than 10mph - no rain! (i will only play in rain if it's not below 45-50)
  13. mine's about 105 in normal play. but when I try to turn it up I can get about 120. this is according to "the speed stik"
  14. this spring I was on the 18 teebox only two over par, and absolutley murdered a drive. #18 is a short par 5, and my drive ended up 150 out. However, I was under a tree limb, so had to sort of "bump" a 7i to the green, which landed about ten yards short, one-hopped off a "no carts past this point" sign, and kicked into an akward bunker about 30 yards from the green. ended up making bogey and shot 75... i still get mad about that. lol
  15. I love walking. If I ride in a cart I cannot concentrate as well, and I really don't enjoy my round. But the real reason I walk is to build stamina for tournaments. Playing competitive junior golf is hard enough mentally, I don't need to get physically tired as well However, walking isn't exactly easy. I walked 27 holes yesterday and my legs were bout to cave in
  16. Yea AK really wasn't much of a teacher, but I still thought he was pretty funny. I still learned some pretty good stuff from Tiger though.
  17. I'll definitely be watching the show tonight. Looks very interesting. What do you guys think about it?
  18. adidas clothing j. lindeberg clothing and belt maybe the new nike tw 2009 shoes... but the $230 is hurting my chances for those some balls and various accessories fitness training, golf related training stuff
  19. 75 at my home course back in May... par 72, 70.2/123. one week after i shot 93 in high school regionals
  20. I used to consider myself a big hitter, until I got a gps unit. I thought I could hit it 300 yards...WRONG! i've only hit a few over 270, and average about 240-245. However, my irons are fairly long. I'm fifteen and play in junior tournaments. I play with a lot of guys who hit it longer off the tee, but not with the irons. My PW is about 125, 130 if I go all out and pure it. For my age, I may be on the long side, but after watching a PGA tournament in person... I found out that I won't consider myself "long" for a few years
  21. I play with a guy on my golf team who is about 20 strokes worse than me, and we sometimes keep a points system. Like GIR- 1 point. 1 putt a Green- 2pts. Fairway hit- 1pt. Stuff like that. Its pretty fun, because I can shoot 79, he can shoot 99, and the pts. system might still be close.
  22. PW from 111 today. choked down with a 3/4 swing and knocked it right over the pin. ended up about six feet from the hole. Cool thing was that I actually converted the short birdie putt for once!
  23. 37 this afternoon after school... Finished with a birdie so I'm happy
  24. 81 today at Timberlake Golf Club a few minutes from my home club. Decent course, pretty technical. I definitely have a better understanding of the layout for when I go back... Mis-clubbed several times
  25. I'm with twc. I walk AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. great excercise too. It helps you to slow down your thoughts and get more out of your round also
