Can anyone please explain the columns (top 10, top 3, wins) on the fantasy board. I clearly had mickelson playing for every round last week and it says I have 0 wins. I assume my point totals are right but don't understand why I have 0's in all of those categories.

Very nice. Way to start off the early season.

Don't putt from the rough

If Pros are really that concerned about playing in AM events, find a new job. The point that some AM players are better than club pros is invalid to me. They have made the decision, whether financially or not, that they don't want to teach or be a pro. They have made a choice that keeping the status as an AM is more important and every pro had the same choice.

I was 14 at the time I was probably 15-18 hcp Holed out from 115 with a sand wedge on a Par 4.

I am pretty long I guess. I can hit it in excess of 300 but I recently went with the "lets hit the fairway approach". I hit more of a controlled cut and its about 270-280 on average. Like others have said, giving up distance for accuracy is a good thing.

I disagree with the article. I averaged 10 GIR the last few months. High of 13 and a low of 8. I didn't break 80 every round. There are to many other factors in ones game to come up with GIR=score. How often do you get up and down on the other holes? How is your putting? If you 3 putt a GIR, it doesn't really count. These are just a few examples of why I think those numbers aren't accurate.

This has happened to me on two occasions. Both on the same hole, both with the same club (both 4 irons, different sets). Both times the head broke away from the shaft and both times the head flew into the marsh in front of the tee box, with no chance to retrieve the club head. This happened in a two week period to me. The first time I was angry but the second time, even I had to laugh. What sucked was, they were both during tournament golf. Shots after your club breaks usually aren't very good.

86. It was a dreadful day out there. 38 putts!!

I did not have the time to go through all of the 15 pages of quotes so if this was said already, sorry for the repost. I think what you are doing is a great display of attention to detail and commitment. That being said, isn't Snead's swing universally considered the best of all time? I'm just asking because I always had that thinking.

Im confused by the question a little. Are you asking- Have I ever had a good front nine and stunk on the back? Yes all the time. or Are you asking- Have I ever been extremely frustrated by the slow play of others? Yes all the time.

I just think the cold weather is prohibiting your ball from carrying. I know the temps have been warmer but it's still not June weather. I have been taking one more club all winter and find it to be pretty accurate.

I have astigmatism in my left eye. My doctor recommended the Acuvue Oasis as its supposed to help with that. I had the exact problem that you are describing. The dang things were always moving around and made it very uncomfortable, not to mention hard to see. I have since went back to the Acuvue 2's and have no problems at all. I have tried about every contact brand out there and always find my way back to the Acuvue 2.

The poster above me is correct. A par 70 could have a higher rating than a par 72. The rating is what a handicap is based off of, not the par of a course. Rating is the score that a scratch player should be able to shoot on a given course. If you play a par 70 that has a rating of 73 and you shoot an 88, you would have a 15 handicap for that round, not an 18.

Funny. I like this group of young guys (Watson, Mahan, Fowler and Crane) because they are having fun with the game. There videos are funny and they give the money to charity. They can all play too.

I have a bunch of putters that were given to me. 3 Scotty's, Ping Anser and an old Cleveland classic blade were handed down by my Uncle. I just recently bought a Ping belly putter. It's the first I've ever purchased.

Shot 80 at my home course today. 6500 yard (played the blues) par 71. Struck the ball okay (11 GIR) but had 36 putts. They aerated half the greens and the others that weren't were extremely slow.
-
Ill take San Fran, Atlanta, Denver and New England.
-
3 iron. Great off the tee and I hit a nice draw. It's long and more consistent than my deuce.
-
78 from a 6500 yard par 71. It was 45 degrees and not too windy. About the best you're going to get in jersey this time of year.

The only con is private vs public membership. Private cost more To me, everything else is a pro. Faster rounds Better practice facility (usually) More of a family atmosphere You can usually always find a money game (if you're into that)

Mickelson went from Titleist to Callaway in 2005 (actually 2004 but not all clubs until 2005) and had one of his best seasons. 21 events with 20 made cuts, 4 wins including a major (PGA champ) and his average round was 66.58. I think the moral is that these guys can play any clubs and play well. I don't think the club switch will be a problem for Rory. Living up to huge sponser and fan expectations? That might be a different story.

Nice job!!! Golf, like everything else in life, feels so good when hardwork pays off. Your goals seem attainable and realistic which is a great step in the right direction. Good luck with the improvements.

I've looked at this before. I haven't played tournament golf in a long time. I would like to do my course tourneys this year and try this in 2014. Would like to get to a 4-5 hcp first.
