In October I had to go to Abu Dhabi and Portugal on business. Flight from Detroit to Abu Dhabi had a change of planes in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Stoped off for a couple of days to see old friends and played Golfbaan Delfland, Schipluiden, The Netherlands. On to Abu Dhabi where I squeezed in time to play Abu Dhabi City Golf Club. Then on to Madrid, Spain and Golf Olivar de la Hinjosa. A couple of days in Tangier, Morocco and a round at Royal Golf de Tanger. Last stop was Lisbon, Portugal and a nine-hole course Paco Do Lumiar Clube de Golfe. Played the first round on the 5th and the last on the 23rd. The results being 5 countrues on 3 continents in 19 days. Next overseas golf trip will be to meet up with a friend from England for a 15 day golf package in Vietnam and Thailand during March.

Living in the Lansing, MI area, no snow yet this year. Tuesday Nov. 15th was in the mid-50s, so got a round in. This will probably be my last round in Michigan this year.

Since we had snow yesterday (just a dusting, but temperature is dropping) my last round was on October 23 when I played in Lisbon, Portugal. My next round will be in January when I will be in "Lost Wages", NV.

I save a logo ball from each course I play. I recently played Paco do Lumiar Clube de Golfe in Lisbon, Portugal. They were out of logo balls and do not knw if or when they will have more. It is the only course I played in Portugal and would love to have a ball. Will buy or trade for one. Please can someone help me?

I live in Michigan and have played many courses throughout the state. My first choice is a private club, The Kingsley Club in Kingsley, MI,. Others on top of my list would include. Eagle Eye in East Lansing, St. Ives and Tullymore in Stanwood, Boynes' Heather and Ross courses and two great muncipal courses Goesbeck in Lansing and The Cascades in Jackson.

I played the Moors in May of 2009. It was in excellent condition and a course I feel was well worth playing.

I have played both courses many times. My choice would be the Grande. It is a challenging and fun course. Another course not far from the Grande is Calderone Farms in Grass Lake. Play 18 at Gande and 18 at Calderone Farms.

When in FortWayne played a couple of courses that were nice, not great,, but worth the price. They were Autumn Ridge

I have played the Brickyard Crossing. Remember the course is closed on race days. Going thru the tunnel under the track is fun. You do it twice, going in and coming back out. A must play in Indy.

I played Wicked Stick a few years ago. It is OK, but nothing special. From your description of your father and yourself I would say it is a good course to play. I also agree that Possum Trot and Waterway Hills would be great courses for the both of you. Have fun.

I will be in Fort Myers with the family around Christmas. Can anyone suggest a couple affordable courses in the area as I will have my 2 grandsons to play with.

Never had an Ace, but have come very close a half a dozen times. It is pure luck if you make one. Maybe I should buy a rabbit's foot.

I'm different, my choice would be Laem Chabang in Thailand. I love the course, I love the friendly people, I love the food and I love the weather. What more could I ask for except to avoid a very long flight and being able to say "Scotty - beam me to Laem Chabang."

I will be in Las Vegas and southern California in late April and/or early May. Can anyone help me to get on to Ironwood Country Club in Palm Desert, CA? For some reason when traveling I seem to play Ironwood courses. Have played 18 others so far.

I travel on business and very often have to play by myself. If there is no one to play with that is OK by me. If they put me with others I usually have a great time. I have a good golfing buddie and we go to Myrtle Beach every November and have a great end of year golf outing. There is nothing wrong in meeting new people and it is fun to play new courses.

What was the name of the course?

This coming fall I will be on the island of Cyprus for business. Has anyone played any courses here? Can anyone tell me about the courses on Cyprus?

There are cheap flights in Orlando if flying. Try north of Tampa/St. Petersburg on the gulf. Nice courses, plenty to choose from and very reasonable prices.

I plan to be in San Diego area the end of January. I think I would like to cross the border and play a round in Mexico. Any info, suggestion, etc. on getting to and playing Club Campestre Tijuana?

Played the St. Ives Golf Club in Stanwood, MI. Shot 49 on the front and 49 on the back. A beautiful and very challenging course. The only problem is finding the ball in the leaves. Sister course to Tullymore which is top 10 course.

I will be in San Diego area in Jan. on business. I have never played in Mexico so would like to play in Tijuana. Plan to take the trolly to border and walk across. Will bring my shoe bag with shoes, glove, teels, tool, marker and balls. Plan to rent clubs. Any advise or suggestions after I cross the border?

Any recommendations on courses near Sumter, SC? We plan to stop there on our way into Myrtle Beach. We played Sumter National a couple of years ago.

I started playing golf on August 20, 2000. At the time I was heading into my late 50s. Wish I had started 40 years earlier. Still do some business travel and have played 588 courses in 35 states and 12 countries. My goal is hopefully to play all 50 states. Have 2 tough ones (HI & AK) already played.
