  1. Everyone says hybrids are easier to hit, but my friend got one and neither of us can hit it very well at all. I've heard you are supposed to swing down on it like an iron, but I just can't seem to do it...It looks like a wood so I tend to sweep. I can't remember the loft on it, but I'm thinking it is 19*. Any tips?
  2. At this point, I'm still losing several balls a round. Furthermore, I am just now learning about the differences in balls. I bought a bag of mixed used balls to try out different ones.
  3. It's a real treat for me to fix my own ball marks - they are rare But I'll usually fix them as I see them if time permits.
  4. I am currently reading "5 Lessons" as well. I was practicing my swing earlier and realized I was waggling without thinking about it. I was too busy thinking about my head, left arm, and hips
  5. Will be one year this spring. (come on spring!)
  6. Totally jealous.
  7. Thank you glebert! www.ironfinder.com is awesome!
  8. I just bought a used set of X-20's 4-PW, AW. I'm having a hard time finding the lofts. Is it safe to assume they are the same as the x-22's? (Callaway's website certainly doesn't make it easy to look up older models) X-22 lofts: #4 24º RH / LH #5 27º RH / LH #6 30º RH / LH #7 33º RH / LH #8 37º RH / LH #9 41º RH / LH PW 45º RH / LH AW 51º RH Only SW 56º RH / LH LW 60º RH Only
  9. Awesome stuff, I can't wait to try that out. I love little mental tips that can improve your swing.
  10. Takes too much time to go back that 350 yards to the tee box
  11. Good for the game. I wouldn't want an overly strict policy, and in fact my club is very very lax on dress code. You can wear what you want, but the overwhelming majority always wear a collared shirt, no denim. To me, wearing a collared shirt and nice khaki shorts or pants is part of the game.
  12. A good woman would never do that, but in that hypothetical situation, I'd take her in a heartbeat.
  13. I've never tried it...I'm with Stacey on this one. Would be way too distracting to me.
  14. Mine would probably be "don't move your head"
  15. That new Burner looks like the designer got inspiration from a '57 Chevy :)
  16. Started really playing about the same time you did. Wecome to the trap.
  17. Absolutely. I'm not from a "golf family" but my dad played a bit and my brother got into it in college. It took me until last summer, and I've been out of college 8 years. One good thing is that I can actually afford to play now :)
  18. Sorry to be daft, but what do you mean by provisional? I assume you hit a second ball from the tee box. Wouldn't it be better to drop a ball near where you lost the ball?
  19. Welcome to the trap!
  20. 10 minutes is crazy. I spend maybe 2 minutes.
  21. Practice More and Break 100.
  22. Excellent tip - thank you. I think I was doing exactly that.
  23. When I make the grip I push my pinky all the way down so that the end of my pinky rests between the knuckles of my index and middle finger on my left hand.
  24. I recently changed from the 10 finger to the interlocking grip and my right pinky finger is sore. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? It feels sore in the joints like it needs to pop.
