  1. Welcome neighbor!
  2. Make sure its the "2008 Baffler Pro"! I have the 2008 version in 2/R 18º and I freakin love this club! I hit it about 240+ on carry. I tried almost every new hybrid out there (I.E.: Titleist, TaylorMade, Callaway, Nickent, Nike, etc.) and found it to suite me best. Just be sure its not the DWS nor the old 2007 version.
  3. what kinda shaft we talking about here??? graphite or steel? if its graphite you will definately want a shaft puller, steel you can get away without it. you can check out the golfsmith.com clubmaking videos if you are a newb.
  4. I agree with some of the points on hand here. I hate having my time wasted so i can appreciate it that other people feel the same. I typically go into my local golf shops with an objective in mind and already know what i am looking for because the guys that work there usually blow smoke anyways just to get a sale. I demo clubs at whatever shop has what i'm looking for and will then buy them at the best price i find (most shops have the same price anyways). If a sales person where to help me out and I didnt end up buying anything from them, as long as you are curtious and thank them for their time, I think its ok to shop for the best price elsewhere.
  5. I have the Project X 6.0 in my Cobra Pro CB's and love them. I tested out all different clubs with different shafts and i definately preferred the rifles compared to the step shafts. but....like many have said before...YOU need to try them all out and see what you like the best, dont go on anyones opinion but your own!
  6. I disagree with that. There are plenty of women that i wouldnt call hot in a million years, but would...yeah, you know where im going. she not hot by any means, but she is attractive enough.
  7. 440 for me. It was at Kapalua Plantation last month had a small "breeze" at my back, plus downhill a tad. only had an 80yd pitch to the par 5 but under normal conditions the longest drive i have hit was around 338!
  8. You need to add a new option to vote on - "Would you do her?" i would vote yes
  9. Interesting read. thanks for the thread!
  10. Hahahahaha! Thats funny
  11. Thats awesome! Good job man!
  12. I recently got a new set of irons (Cobra Pro CB's) after playing X-14's for 7 or so years. At first I had my mind set on the X-20 tours because I really liked my X-14's but after hitting them, i wanted to puke!...i was so disappointed by those irons. The x-forged were very nice however. have you tried any other irons out yet? i bet you will find something that you like better than the x-forged. i would bet money on it! the new Titleist, Cobra, Mizuno (new Mp model coming next month), TaylorMade irons are all VERY nice try them all out before you buy a new set....I promise you wont regret doing it!
  13. Danny Lee is absolutely KILLIN it! I was rooting for Kyle Stanley, but he unfortunatly go knocked out in the second round of match play
  14. i havent done this myself, but i have heard that you dont want to go anymore than 2º in any one direction, at the risk of compomising the integrity of the metal. so it sounds like you should be ok.
  15. I determined my proper grip size by placing my left hand on the club, and the fingertips when wrapped around the grip should just lightly be touching the outside of my thumb/pad (Abductor Pollicis Brevis muscle). With that being said, what you might try and do if you hands are a bit different is to buy a couple of VERY cheap grips, grip tape, solvent, and grip your club by yourself. When you do, maybe try a few extra wraps on the top half of the grip where your left hand holds the club (if you're right handed). so first, wrap it for the size you like it to be for you right hand, and then add a couple of wraps to the top half. might just work!
  16. Damn Chingail!!! those are some crazy stories! good stuff
  17. Super freak!
  18. i got 51 not bad, but nothing close to 100! You guys are freaks!!!
  19. we play a similar game called "Poison". Same idea. you all put your golf ball down next to one tee block, then the first player hits, and if he hits the other tee block, he gets to hit again. once he hits the second tee block (the one you started from) his ball is poison. you then try to hit the other players golf balls and if you hit them while you are poison, then they are out. last player with ball still alive wins! fyi...multiple people can be the poison ball. you only go out if you get hit by a poison ball, but if somebody hits you that isnt poison, nothing happens.
  20. Ive had a set for about 3 months now, and love them! Look at my sig for the specs I have. They feel amazing! I shopped around for several months hitting everything i could get my hands on, Titleist Ap1, Z-blend, Z-Muscle, Miz Mp57, 60, 67 (new Mp52 is set to release next month so you might wait to try them), Ping S58, Callaway x-20 tour, x-forged. The cobras felt the best to me by far. AP2's were close followed by z-blend, x-forged. I didnt get a chance to his the taylormade mb's...they look very nice to, nor did i hit the nike blade or cleveland cg1's, cg tour. i would try them all out before you buy so you know you get exactly what you want. After playing these the only thing i would want to change is maybe do a blend of Cb's and Mb's with Cb's 3-6 and Mb's 7-P. I never had a chance to hit the Mb's as nobody has them on the rack or as a demo, but i can only imagine how nice they are too!
  21. i dont know about the lost ball chip, but i would throw one in there for any penalty strokes you have to take. E.G. > if you declare an unplayable lie and take a penalty stroke, you get the penalty token. You would only count this token, if no other tokens were given out to the player E.G. > player hits out of bounds, only gets the OB chip, not the penalty chip.
  22. I cant get over this token game...im doing it! i though of some other tokens to throw in: 1) The "D.O." drive where one fails to drive the ball past the ladies tees (men only token i suppose) 2) Failure to convert a drive in the fairway where you are left with a shot
  23. That game sounds pretty fun to me! i will have to give it a shot. We play some pretty standard games: match play for money, wolf, 5/5/5 (best score per side and total gets $5), KP's, LD's. the poker chip this sounds great!
  24. My dad knows nothing about golf, so he asked me one day "so if you dont hit it in the rough do you hit it in the smooth?" so now when somebody manages to hit a ball that doesnt go in the rough i sometimes yell out, "Dude...thats in the smooth!"
