Snake Eyes Driver Head VS. Store Bought
Cody replied to albatross's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Well, this would also mean whats the difference between something such as a taylormade driver head vs a walmart driver head? Honestly, if i wasn't absolutely in love with my irons i would trade them for snake eyes irons because they are AMAZING. A friend of mine has all golfsmith components and they are simply amazing. The viper irons have a style similiar to the AP1/AP2. The driver head he has is very similiar to a hibore xl. See if you can try the club head out before you buy it. -
Anyone else have super extra wide feet?
Cody replied to DirtCheap's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I'm a 1E and I don't know if it helps, but i bought a pair of callaways in a normal because they fit perfectly. And footjoys seem to have wide and extra-wide. -
My grandpa was in some thick rough just outside the green that was considered out of bounds, and didn't want to take a penalty. So he goes up to hit it. He hits it barely hits the top of the ball since it was basically buried. It came up and hit him square in the nose causing an instant bloody nose. It was HILARIOUS until we saw him bleeding, but hes 100% man so he wiped it and finished off the round.

That offset could 100% cause the hook. I have a draw biased driver with a bit of a closed face that i can hit straight to a slight fade. My uncle hits a Ping G10 neutral biased. He picked up my draw biased and hooked the HELL out of it. He never has problems with hooks. Same thing goes for my dads cobra speed LD offset 3wood. Nobody but myself and him can hit it. It's a weird thing. Also, hybrids aren't for everybody. If you don't like it, drop it. Its whatever you feel comfortable with.

Well i personally think the rife 2bar is kinda ugly(but i own a sabertooth so what do i know ). However I'd buy that over a cameron in a heartbeat. I'd especially buy a Yes! I've heard so many great things and i haven't picked up one that didn't feel good in my hands. Try them out, if the cameron feels better get that. If you like rife/yes! better then get that.

With newer clubs comes better technology. I can highly recommend a set of nickents though. I recently purchased their driver, 3 ironwood, 4 ironwood, and 5-p . All the 4dx model for 425 shipped on ebay. I played them today and I'm in love. Even my uncle playing the G10's said he wants to trade.

I think nike iron's are very ugly aside from the CCI's. If i didn't already have a nice driver the Sumo2 would be #1 on my list. I hit a friends and i loved it. I also really like the ignite putter series. The ignite 003 is what made me fall in love with mallet putters. I was thinking of purchasing some SV Tour wedges before, but i think i just might go for it and buy one without trying it.

Which of the irons would you use?
Cody replied to fairwayfader's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Cleveland all the way. The CG Gold were ridiculously smooth so i could only image the red. -
Thats totally backwards. The S9's have a thicker topline and are classified as "ultra-game improvement" irons. The FP's are still "game improvement" but the s9's are defiently bulkier. I'd suggest finding a 2007 FP set. Those are better than the 2008 model.

Wondering what is more durable, shaft or club head?
Cody replied to elivate's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
My guess would be the shaft. The clubhead has very thin walls. -

Hybrid loft question for the board
Cody replied to Danfix99's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Hybrids typically have a slightly higher loft than the irons they replace. My 3h is a 20* and the 3 iron is an 18*. And you don't have to get hybrids that match your iron sets, you can get whatever hybrids you want. -

The fact that people on the bus say that he taunted them and police with the head and that the police said that he was "just stabbed" This was the work of someone who is completly insane. There is no way any normal person could do something as sick as this. My mom just told me this in the kitchen and i didn't really believe her but wow....

My whole family golfs all the time at my local course and they all know us so almost everytime i go out they dont charge me. I went and got 2 large buckets(for me, my girlfriend, and my sister) and she gave them to me for free. I walk all the time and they rarely charge me. It's pretty nice and they are all super nice.

You guys should check out the wilson staff 50 and zip. SUPER EASY to compress and they are very soft around the green. Not the most durable around the green and not the most distance but its not bad by any means. Other than the DT roll, i don't think i like any ball better than the 50, yet to try the zip but i hear great things.

I finally received my clubs and i went to the range. And i must say, these clubs are pretty damn great. They are by no means game improvement clubs. They are cavity backs with a very thin topline and they give a very good amount of feedback. It's not a STINGING but its there. You can tell as soon as you make contact. When you hit a good shot you hear a pleasant "thud". The hyrbids were very up and down for me thus far. I only hit them on the range and i CANNOT hit anything on the range. The 4 Iron wood was great, however the 3 ironwood was hard to hit and confused me a little bit, but i was on the range and on the course it'll be different. I can't really comment on the driver as i can't hit any driver Overall a great set and i can't wait to hit them on the course.

The cobra s9's are REALLY nice. I have hit these and they are alright for game improvement but with game improvement comes the thick topline i can't stand. However, based on reviews and everything i would try the wilson staffs Ci7's.
