  1. The first hole of the US Open and I have to sit through watching Tiger Woods hit 6 bad shots while Adam Scott and Phil Mickelson we get to see only two shots. They were both on the green in regulation and we don't even get to see their birdie putts. We do get to see Tiger pitch out of the rough then miss the green, then pitch it back on and miss the bogey putt. He almost missed the double bogey putt. I emailed ESPN and told them I'm not going to sit through another Winged Foot, where I have to watch 76 strokes by Tiger and 10 by the leader.
  2. Did anybody notice the course condition at Riviera? It kind of looked a little burned out. Especially around the greens. Maybe I just never paid that much attenion to it.
  3. Well worth the money. Especially when it's hot and humid.
  4. I wasn't sure about the actual stat, I was going on Phoenix and last years Nissan Open.
  5. Are you sure about that. There's a Nationwide Tour player from my area named Kevin Kraft and he gets mobbed around here. Maybe it's different at super exclusive clubs like Isleworth.
  6. Ogio. The best $40 carry bag I've ever bought. I used to buy Ping Hoofers. Compared to this Ogio, the Ping feels like an anvil.
  7. Ever since the New Decade Multicompound came out I've been hooked.
  8. I love these questions because we all have our biases. I love my MP-67's and probably won't be switching irons for quite a while.
  9. I haven't had a lob wedge for quite a while now. I was thinking of dumping my 19 degree hybrid and putting my lob back in the bag.
  10. Just went to the one here in Cleveland. Bought a Mizuno Windlight sweater. I have one in black and love it. They had a stone colored one for $50. Couldn't pass it up.
  11. I love the 3 iron. But when I hit a weak block to the right rough on a long par 4, I can't hit the green from 190 out of the rough. Now if its dry out and the rough is managable I'll take the hybrid out and use the 3. Pine Hills in Hinkley, Ohio is a perfect example. If you miss the fairway, the rough is managable. Plus the two of the par three's, if it's windy, I need a 3 iron.
  12. I have a pretty good teacher who knows how to communicate. That's the biggest isssue. There are some teachers who can't communicate what they are seeing.
  13. I use a belly putter. Straight back and through.
  14. That's a good question. I don't know how any pro could practice at a club. With all the people bothering them for autographs and such. If I was a pro I'd have my own range in my yard.
  15. I love Golfweek, I've subscribed to it for for about 6 years now. Very in depth coverage of each tour event on each tour.
  16. I think the biz hub shot is pretty good also.
  17. For a while there I thought we might see a re-enactment of last year with a playoff and a Phil loss. He seems to not be very good in playoff situations.
  18. I subscribe to XM and the PGA radio is one of the reasons I won't switch to Serius. I listen all day at work while going down the road.
  19. Mizuno MP-67!!!!!!! I'm going to go out on a limb with this one. If you're that good of a ball striker you don't need the MP-57.
  20. None of the above. I have a love of UST shafts. I have IRODs in my hybrids. I had a Pro Force 65 in my last driver. As a matter of fact I'm thinking of re-shafting my R7 from the RE AX to the Proforce.
  21. Grey Hawk plays to 132 from the blue tees and 137 from the tips. I generally play the blues. With the wind and water seems like it should be the tips.
  22. Saturday I played here in North Ohio. It was about 45-50 degrees. I had an Adidas mock neck on, an Ashworth sweater, an Adidas fleece pullover and a Ping stocking cap on. Keeping your head warm is the key. Didn't play too bad either.
  23. To me it's all about feel around the greens. If I can hit a crisp 30 yard pitch, bounce twice and stop, than that's the ball. So far the Pro V 1 is the ball I like. I've tried alot of these balls and that's the one I go back to time and time again.
  24. I say no because I'm in love with my Mizuno wedges. Tell me if I'm wrong but the Vokey wedges are cast. I like the feel of forged. Spin milled means nothing to me. I don't find any enjoyment by sucking a ball back 20 feet. I do enjoy hitting the wedge the distance I want and having it stay there.
  25. Saturday I played 36 holes at Hinkley Hills in Hinkley, Ohio. Shot 2 81's. The weather wasn't the greatest. About 50 degrees and overcast. My ball striking wasn't the greatest. I was having a problem with ball position. I think the ball was too far forward in my stance and thought it was perfect. The second round would have been worse If I didn't play the last 3 holes at 2 under. I hit an 8 iron iron from 145 on 16 off the flag stick for a kick in birdie. Hit the green and two putted on the par 3 17th. I sunk a 70 foot down hill right to left bomb on 18 for birdie. My buddie was not happy because of the press he made. He was down 3 going into 18. Lost 4 bucks to me. I'm hoping to get a few more rounds in before old man winter hits.
