  1. Yeah I'm also gonna try to tee off around 7am. I usually play in the afternoons, and have no friends in the area that play golf really so I'll be paired up with some random people as per usual.
  2. I've been playing on and off for 10 years now and have never been more committed than now. I hit some great shots, but I seem to have the same problems creep in. Sometimes my head will move ahead of the ball on my back swing. This is super easy to tell and not my main issue. I'll get to the top and be way to quick and my head will go forward with my hips causing me to come over the top. I need a good drill to keep my head back while I start the down swing with my hips. If I avoid that my shots are great, but my other major mistake is holding onto the angle between my arm and club shaft too much (especially with driver) resulting in my hands being entirely too far ahead of the ball and an open club face hurting my drives the most. I break nearly every tee while hitting driver but my good ones are still about 270 right now (still pretty wet here in Washington). I still get way to many shots that start at my target line but slice way right of that. Not all the time but what can I do to help. Right now it's just slow motion swings in front of a mirror 100+ everyday almost.
  3. God you are a shitlord mr wiggles. Lots of things used to be crimes that today we'd laugh at. Keep using that bullshit crutch, totally overlooking the fact that it isn't a crime for millions of americans and not every law on the books is totally moral because the infallible government says so.
  4. I smoke before every round but never on the course unless it's dead. Makes me focus better and I'd consider myself a above average golfer. Hoping to go under par this year for 18. I'd never want to put my playing partners in that position. Btw not illegal for me, it's hilarious to read the stigma still associated with marijuana use demonstrated in some of the posts. I've always been an athlete and I think marijuana use has done nothing but help me.
  5. So I've been playing golf off and on since high school 10 years ago. I broke my leg and stopped playing for two years sold everything, then this winter I got the itch again. I got a set of Titleist 735 cm's, Titleist 907D1 driver and 906F fairway woods. I was at the golf store today and was hitting some different drivers. My best current drive is around 270 and with the new driver I hit a few out at 285 (without a fitting) so I know I'm loosing distance and control. I'm gonna go ahead and get a new driver fitted with the right shaft for me. My real question is about my irons. I'm a decent player, shot even over 9 holes today (best since I've came back), and I was hitting some different irons a lot further on the launch monitor than my current ones. I'm a titleist guy and need a little more forgiveness so I was thinking the Ap1's or 2's. I just don't know if it's worth it dropping a lot of money on new irons. I'm happy with my 3 and 5 wood, I'm hitting my 3 wood out over 250 sometimes. My current 7 iron I hit maybe 160 and I was trying a couple different ones and on the monitor it said 170 or 175. As those number reliable? What other irons should I be looking at that may be cheaper than the AP's.
  6. 3. Yesterday actually. One of which was a chip in. Thanks RMG club for the opportunity to play so much golf. Shot 75 though. Still ironing out the mistakes.
  7. Saw that and caught a couple camel toe shots that had me laughing my ass off. I'll be watching.
  8. Congrats on the job man. I'm just coming off an injury that annoyed me into quitting golf altogether. I've played my first rounds in a year and a half the last couple weeks. Of course all my old tendencies came out, but I've been video recording myself making small changes over the last month and honestly the lack of muscle memory has made adopting these changes easier I think. I've struggled on the course, but am starting to get the feel back and I've hit some of the best shots I've ever hit my last two driving range sessions. Bottom line I know where you are coming from but after getting out on the course (and struggling) I can't figure out why I ever wanted to stop playing to begin with.
  9. I have the same tag on a number of forums, I grew up in Ocean Shores, Wa. Google the cascadia subduction zone, we had tsunami "evactuations" all the time and I have always been fasicanated. Name just kinda stuck.
  10. Most people I play with pretty much keep to themselves, most of the time asking me what I hit or using my gps for yardages (which I do with anyone that asks, I never give info that someone may not want).
  11. I also play the nike one tour and love the feel, only wished they spinned a bit more for me. I'm going to be giving these a shot whenever I start playing again, when the days are a little longer. Just read the review and they sound great, I have played pro1x's and nike one tours like them both but these sound really good. Well see.
  12. That is really shitty man, I have zero personal experience with this. But, I think, the airline should be responsible for the entire amount to replace everything. It is their job to get your bags onto the right planes and too your destination, and I'd imagine it's a pretty penny to bring a golf bag with you on a flight now a days. That is their responsibility and they should be trying to make it right for you. I know you'll get a lot of grief and it sounds like in the end you'll only get a fraction of what it'll take to replace all your stuff, to me that's bullshit. I do feel sorry for you though, I would be so pissed if my whole bag was just gone. When I was racing motorcycles across country one of my team mates bags was lost, he got his back a couple days later after the races where over but he just had to use borrowed gear. There was probably over 2k in the bag worth of riding gear, helmets, boots, ect. So there is hope of getting your stuff back, I hope it works out for you.
  13. Hahaha, I was thinking that the whole time while reading that. Seriously though, my wife is supportive but not to that level. She loves that I love to play, and we both love that our 4 1/2 year old daughter is really starting to get into hitting the range with daddy. That part is cool, I just think it's important to realize that everyone deserves to pursue a passion in life. I let my wife have her time, it's mutual respect.
  14. I grow up in White Salmon, across the river from Hood River. Play over at Indian Creek every time I go home. I now live Bonney Lake, Wa pretty close to Puyallup.
  15. I seriously was thinking about it about a month ago. I was a switch hitter in baseball, through a ball right handed but always hit better from the left side. I also write left handed. Like a lot of players right handed clubs were around and that's what I learned on. I've never hit a full shot left handed, but swung a left handed club some. The only reason I decided not to go for it is because I didn't wanna drop a bunch of money on it. But maybe getting a lefty 7 iron and trying it out. My father in law was exactly like me, he just switched maybe a year ago to lefty and is already increased his game considerably. He was like a 7 I would say he's around a 4 or 5 at the end of last year skill wise. So it worked for him.
