  1. i hit 84% of FIR 44% GIR 33 putts a round and up and down is not sure probably around 30%?
  2. YOU and only you control your behavior... big deal you hit a green in one over regulation and still had a chance to make par. That is nothing to snap your driver shaft over... I hope you learned your lesson, next time act like a man and accept the fact you hit a bad shot.
  3. i like the 3 wood more, when going uphill for a long par 5 you might need that extra distance, and since i hit my 3 iron 190-200 i need the 3 wood for uphill 200 yard+ par 3's, or i need the wood to leave myself a full wedge for short par 4's, as i would rather hit a full wedge than a half wedge.
  4. i always see guys with that at the driving range, i guess its easier for them to throw their problem irons into than bring their whole bag. so they can only bring what they need to work on. I would still never use that to carry clubs from one side of the fairway to the other..
  5. HAHA thats great, good thing it was your last hole might i ask what the heck did you do to her? LOL
  6. wow that would add an extra few minutes, having to get out the bag put all those clubs in it, then after the shot take them out and put the bag away. Pace of play would be reduced even more. Do it the old fashioned way and use the special club carrier called "hands", cheaper and faster.
  7. i agree with that completely, if you work on that 3 wood and polish it to the same level of your hybrid you will be that much closer.
  8. Played today. Shot a 75 (4 over) 38 front and 37 on the back 11/12 fairways in regulation - 98% 8/18 greens in regulation -44% 31 putts
  9. first time i ever played golf i was 12 years old, i had 1 birdie and two pars, i got the birdie on a par three. I didnt even know what a birdie was! I was playing with a friend and his uncle, for my first time. My friends uncle drove me home after and insisted on coming up to the house. When he came in he told me dad to go buy me golf clubs, right then. My dad had no idea what a birdie was, but he followed my friends uncles advice. Here i am almost 5 years later :) Thanks god for my buddys uncle, i gotta remember to thank him
  10. Ouch thats harsh....

    Iron Covers?

yes the golden rules 1) Never ever wear socks with sandals. 2) Never use iron head covers.
  14. Oh god THE HORROR! Socks+sandals=blindness. Assuming the bank will even let you in to cash your cheque, they will most likely take one look at your sock and sandal combo and run for the hills.
  15. what if the guy rides a motorcycle? can i mess with that?
  16. wow need i say more? comments like this drive me up the wall.
  17. Played the course Gleneagles from the tips (blacks) Shot a 78 (7 over) Had 41 on the front nine and a 37 on the back :) hit 11/12 Fairways in Regulation 92% hit 7/18 greens in regulation 39% and had 29 putts
  18. same i couldnt agree more, it never seems to come off in a nice way either.
  19. thanks guys :) Today i went out and played one of the courses we are playing in competition Played the course Gleneagles from the tips (blacks) Shot a 78 (7 over) Had 41 on the front nine and a 37 on the back :) hit 11/12 Fairways in Regulation 92% hit 7/18 greens in regulation 39% and had 29 putts
  20. i just go out there and enjoy it, theres no feeling in the world like draining a birdie putt, or better yet one of those rare eagles :)
  21. it wasnt that he was trying to asses my playing ability he was asking if i "knew the rules" in a snooty way and that put me off. If i was 30 years old and was trying to asess a kids playing ability i would simply wait till after the first ole when he had shot. Or if i simply couldnt wait, i would realise that the kid is a member (as he is playing on a member day at a private course) and ask him if he plays alot, i would NOT ask in a snooty way if he had ever even played golf before.
  22. what do you mean par for the course?
  23. :) glad you all like my joke
  24. They assumed i didnt know anything about golf. They asked me if i knew the ettiquitte and if i had ever played before. They never would have had the nerve to ask that to someone older. All i did was entertain his thoughts which were obviously he thought he was better than me, and judged me by appearance and age. I never told him i sucked i told him sarcastically i had never played before. I dont go to golf so i can be asked 20 questions when im paired up with someone, i go to golf so i can enjoy it, people like that ruin the game (people who act like their better than everyone else)
  25. oh god, the mental images!
