This also begs the question in regards to the play it forward campaign where many of the courses I play in CO have been moving there tees forward but I know they have not re rated them for the new yardages.

As I'm sure many of you imagine yourselves in the shoes of these guys as I do. I often wonder how their full day looks. Yesterday Phil stormed off and had to call Butch in to "work" on his game for over an hour. What about the guys with the great rounds. Today Adam Scott- Duffner(wow!) and the like. I always wonder if they revel in it just a bit and sit down somewhere with those that are close and have a drink. Come on- Are they all so serious that they go back get a massage then drink smoothies, then IVs for hydration then straight to the gym for stretching? How does it all go down? Me wants to know-------

I think that in known company and when appropriate this is how golf should be played.. Out of the line and off to the side and of course be still during the final moments prior to others putting. This really speeds up the game and keeps things moving. Nothing worse than someone waiting to start their entire routine until a putt is holed. Just a waist of time. You should be reading aligning and generally getting ready for all shots while others are playing as long as its not distracting.

I just played Chambers Bay today. This course is not contrived all and there should many more course like it. The deep pot bunker on 18 is mostly just a visual hazard but if someone does find themselves in it there is a big opening back out right or left. Awesome course!!! Like golf was played in the beginning-

I owned the TW 13s which is the best shoe I have ever worn for walking a ton. When the 14 came out I was excited to get a new pair and just briefly tried them on with out much consideration since I loved the 13s so much. After one round I sensed they were a bit too big even thought they were the same size. Went back to the store and sure enough the new ones are running 1/2 size bigger. Could not return them so thought I would give a try here. Size 10.5 Worn one round with different insoles so the ones included are the stock nike with out wear. Everything is perfect minus a little dirt on the bottoms. I did clean them up and they look great. No problems. With tax these were just over 190.00 here in Colorado. Looking to get 145.00 shipped usps to con US. Will be shipped in the Nike Box with the shoe bag etc... Lets get these out the door so I can get a new pair in the correct size!

Which 3/4 wheel push cart should I get?
granitegolf replied to Zeph's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
Clicgear for me- All my friends have converted over to pushing and my main partner just replace his older sun mountain with the Clicgear and he is loving it. cons for the clicgear- you have adjust the alignment every so often(not a big deal but we have some hills that I like to let the cart go and it veers hard left) takes some a bit to learn how to open and close it Watch your fingers while opening or you may smash them bungies wear out after about 100 rounds- easy to replace(just did mine) certain bags fit funny and may rub front wheel -
Searching for a new driver shaft
granitegolf replied to saturday's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I second the pro force V2. A great shaft for the price- I played it in 3 of my past drivers. Very stable! -
taylormade Stage 2 tour rescue directions?
granitegolf replied to granitegolf's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I think there is and even the TM rep said so he was just able to tell me what +- lofts go with which up right settings. They are on the opposite side of the sleeve. I believe there are two upright settings. -
taylormade Stage 2 tour rescue directions?
granitegolf replied to granitegolf's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
That was part of my searching to no avail- I called TM and they were helpful and nice but did not have the info for the upright settings. He told me just to try it on the range and see what I like best. Of course I have done that but it would be nice to know what the setting that "I like" is. So if anyone has figured it out please let me know- Thanks! Dale -
taylormade Stage 2 tour rescue directions?
granitegolf replied to granitegolf's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Thanks for the link but I have been there. I know it does all those things but it is unclear on the sleeve which settings are which when in the upright positions. Anyone? Thanks, Dale -
Hi everyone, I have been searching but to no avail. Can someone point me in the correct direction to a chart or directions on the settings of the fitting sleeve. I have the 4 rescue and was hoping to set it in the -1.5 but upright position and its not as clear as I was hoping. I have had a beer but thought it would be easer than this!!! Thanks- Dale

I have been playing them for about 8 months and really like them. They are very good on off center hits. They look great and have just the right amount of forgiveness. Of course get fit for them- Mine are +1/4 blue dots with soft stepped X100s. Love em!

I believe you don't see this a ton on the PGA because they all practice their alignment so much that they tend to get it right. There are still some PGA members who use their caddies to line them up(can't remember who at the moment). Every time you practice this should be one of the core drills you are working on. Alignment- I find it odd how many people just bang balls at the range. Then you see someone one get a hold of one and hear them state "finally, got that one good" but if they only knew how far off line they struck it they might not think the same:)

Welcome to CO- The golf here is amazing! I have a membership at The Heritage in Westminster which has held a few US Open qualifiers. Its a great links course and for 2,400 I get the Heritage and Legacy Ridge which is a totally different style of course but still very good. If you make it to the North end let me know and I can show you the courses and also check out Riverdale Dunes- Best course I have played for the value. 39.00 bucks or so and its as good as anything I have ever played! Hawaii, California etc etc... Cheers, Dale

I would really consider the Ping Anser- Nice thing is they use the real shafts and if you went with the Ahina X Stiff it would certainly give you low spin and low launch. Of course you need to fit them but I just switched to the Anser with the Ahina S (my swing speed is bit slower at 105) and this club is amazing. Brought my average spin rates down to 2475 and great launch etc... Enjoy the search and be patient- Dale

Skycaddie SGX vs SGXW
granitegolf replied to inthecup's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
This a good point- it will not connect to wifi what required you to go to your browser to confirm the terms of service. You have to find wifi that is open or just requires a password. Not that hard to find but with a little planning ahead the W may not be worth the $$$$ if you can find used Sgx's for 120. -
No brainer- I'm 40 years old and ride my bike to the course all the time to practice- A great warm up and fun as well! If your bag is already there then its a double no brainer. Come on- I can't even believe this takes consideration. 8.2 miles should take about 20 minutes if you hustle.

Ping Answer! have to agree on this one- I fitted myself for it yesterday next to a 913, I20, G20, and R11s and it was by far the best for me! Hit it today and its an amazing club- Low spin, good numbers and accurate! Love it

Hi All, I have been using the SG3 for a long time which had a feature of being able to set your ideal lay up yardage. Mine is 125. Nice for par fives or short par fours as it automatically gives me a yardage to hit it that will leave me 125. So my question is can you set a number like I have described above on the SGXw. I of course have tried to figure it out and with too much time in the manual and can't seem to figure it out. Any SGXw experts out there:) Thanks, Dale

These are two year old AP2 irons that have seen about 150 rounds of golf. Still in good shape but they have been played for sure. The three iron is brand new I never used it. Re gripped about six months ago and then little play as I got new irons. New Decade multi compound grips(standard with one rap of tape). Shafts are PX 5.5 standard length. Clubs were ordered 1/2 degree upright. photo of face shows typical wear of the most used clubs in the set. Still tons of life and just hoping to get them to someone that needs a good deal and great club. Price includes shipping to US except for Hawaii and AK.
