Looks like Taylor Made is taking a hit here ..... Sorry if this is old news...

In the PGA Championship is the cut line top 70 and ties, or do they have that 10 shot rule?

After having the opportunity to meet both (granted it was for less than a few minutes each) I have to throw my vote at Paula. It helped that she did not have an armed guard staring at you like Natalie did.

I went down to the Tuesday practice round, and was amazed by the friendly nature of all the players except a few- Wie and Davies (who I thought was John Daly in drag). Every one except those 2 signed autographs and took pictures with anyone. I look Creamer, who was hitting the ball great, to contend all weekend after her round yeaterday.

I took these at the practice round of a number of the ladies mentioned in this thread....enjoy!

It's hard not to take Tiger any week he plays, so like NC Golfer, I'll throw some thoughts on other contenders. I have a love/ hate relationship with the Furyk pick. True- his "A GAME" screams US Open Champion, but I don't think he has that game going right now. The Open does not usually allow for the occasional "ex lax" round, thus removing Adam Scott from my consideration. Vijay is looking older and older every week. 3 years ago I'd say he had a chance, but not now. I oddly love the Goosen pick. I haven't seen him play much this year, but I can't get this pick out of my gut. A few picks I also love are Stuart Cink who seems to have his game right, and Justin Rose , who could still putt better than most the field if they reduced the hole size to 2 1/4". Another contender will be Paul Casey , who mashes the ball straight, and apparently loves links courses.

I have yet to hear an apology out of Rev. Jackson or Sharpton about the way they characterised and attacked the wrongfully accused Duke players. They were VERY instrumental in leading the charge against them.

Perfect, reliable contact on shortgame shots

I always try to keep about 80% of my weight on my left foot. This also helps to keep your hands in front of the ball, and have a quiet body while descending on the ball. -
What is the best golf ball?
Wood replied to BigHitta's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I've been through most golf balls as well, before ENDING the search on the Pro V1X about (I think) 2 years ago. Nothing has as good all around feel or flight in my opinion. I will try a new ball every now and again (Taylor Made's most recently), but always end up back with Tileist. -
Dude- she is only 17.

Not if your cable does not offer it without a huge package purchase..... GGGRRRRRRRRR!

I could not agree with you more. I am a Phil fan. I root for Phil and Tiger to come down to the 18th in every tourney they play b/c I think Phil wants to be in that position to conquer his demons. Sure, I wish he played more. I wish all the big names played more, but like Erik said somewhere else on here, they don't have to, so they won't.

I absolutely think he should play. I absolutely think it is what he owes his fans and golf viewers around the world that pay his salary. I absolutely think it is in the best interest of himself and his image to play in (and probably win) this star studded event. I absolutely think that I have no idea if he is gonna play, but I hope he does.

I'm not saying anything about Phil's lazy butt or lack of playing. I am simply saying he has ginormous man boobs.

Actually, Tiger has 54 wins and 3 PGA Championships. What are you taliking about?
-
Say what you will about this book, but I have no doubts Michelle Wie will be a "champion" golfer (on the women's tour) one day. This is obviously another money maker for her and her family led entourage.

I think he is in London working with Laura Davies on how to get his "upper body" turned through the ball.

2 of the 6-7 courses that are on my regular rotation were not listed. They have both been open about 5-7 years. I wonder how long it takes to get a course listed.

Saw one on DVD recently that didn't get much publicity called Green Street Houligans with Elijah Wood. It was a pretty cool story you should check out.

Do they have every course, public and private in their database?

Just wondering why it matters..... Golf is a game of personal preference and feel. If you like the Callaway irons- they are the perfect clubs. If you like the Titleist driver- it is the perfect driver and you should not change a thing. I personally think I have the perfect bag, but to someone else the Sonartec 5 wood is a horrible choice, as are the Mizuno irons. If I hit Walmart Specials great and played to a scratch with them- I would rate my bag perfect, and would not care a lick what anyone thought about my club selection.

Favorite - Has to be the second after Tiger holed his winning putt at the Open Championship. It was not only a great golf story for him to win, but the human interest story with his loss of his father made it a moment I'll remember for years to come. After watching him look like a machine all week, it was good to see the "human" Tiger most of us were rooting for show up with Stevie in a hug. Close Second - Watching Duval power his way up the leaderboard on Friday at the US Open (live). It was another great story about watching someone meet their demons head on in one of the most pressure packed situations in golf. Sure, it would have been great to see a top 5, but seeing him compete again at that level after everything he has gone through on the golf course was simply amazing. Least favorite - Micky on 18 at the US Open. I have never seen a larger train wreck, and hope to never see another one like it.

One other little tip about hitting off mats. I had lost some distance off my irons, and got the lofts checked. The pro asked me if I had been hitting off mats, and I said yes. Each iron had been bent weak by .75-1.5* from the mats. Be careful.

You must have missed her LPGA majors appearances.
