Just watching The Players tape from today. Most golf announcers, and people in general these days, are guilty of this annoying failure to properly use adverbs. Symptomatic of a lower intellectual standard, I suppose, and very grating to the ear, especially in the magnitude delivered here by Peter Jacobson. The world really is going to . /rant

Gary has almost become a parody of himself it seems, but I cannot not like him. Feherty tries too hard to be funny, but I think McCord is just out there. I admit it becomes unbearable at times, but I'm not going to throw him under the bus.

This guy Ginella on Golfchannel is pimping courses with greens fees generally ranging from $100 to $300. Seriously, how many average golfers find these reports useful? Personally, my degree of enjoyment golfing is inversely proportional to the size of the associated costs.

For years at my old club I never bought a ball. I would just take a stroll for an hour next to certain holes (left side for better balls!) and pick up a shopping bag full every few weeks. I played the good ones and hit the rocks on the range. I buy new balls these days, but still play a "found" ball now and again.

I'm disappointed that this thread is generating so many gender based comparisons of various players rather than more photos of lovely women golfers. Really, girls + golf is such a no-brainer for a pig like me!
