"Understanding the Golf Swing" by Manuel De La Torre
Web Junky replied to iacas's topic in Reading Room
Take it back to the original, Ernest Jones. His short book, "Swing The Clubhead" made golf fun again for me after years of suffering with paralysis by analysis. -
Greg, Greg, Greg . . . Why do you you say this kind of stuff?

Really? Wow! Just, wow!

The Best (worst) Spelling and Grammar Errors Thread

This gem came from the comment section of a recent article on Garth Brooks at Yahoo: " I thought he stopped because of that idiotic Chris Gaines (or whatever the name was) alto eager stunt that was both misguided and creepy." -
@Hammer 4 Thank you. Killer video! Just when I was getting a little smug about my own playing, I see this. WOW!

How many songs do you have in your digital library?
Web Junky replied to nevets88's topic in The Grill Room
I still go to hard copy CDs when I want to listen to something seriously. I can do youtube, but I don't really grok the whole files thing. -
tucker08 Apr 3, 2009 05:20 PM OMG!!I thought I was all alone in my dreams of having a "Jethro" size bowl of TEAM flakes. I haven't been able to scracth that itch in 20 years. My wife and I were sking in Tahoe right after we got married when we went grocery shopping. I found TEAM flakes on the shelf and my new wife started to wonder why this man she had just married was getting so worked up over a "box of cereal".TEAM was never just a "box of cereal" . RECOMMEND 0 LINK REPLY R RosiePosie88 Mar 28, 2009 01:51 PM Michael, no, you're not alone. I was born in late 1962 and my dad raised my brothers and I on Team Flakes crispy goodness. About 15 years ago, I called Nabisco and asked them why they never advertise this wonderful cereal anymore, to reintroduce it to the children of a new generation, and I was told that there were many new cereals out there and competition was ferocious. I reminded them that Corn Flakes had recently begun a new ad campaign, "Try them again for the first time," to introduce them to our children of the '90's, and the ad was amazingly successful. Why not Team? I was told it wasn't going to happen. I just went to the Kraft website (they now own the rights to Nabisco, the company which made Team Flakes) and there is no where to post a comment or request to reintroduce this wonderful cereal, only a list of frequently asked questions, none related to Team Flakes. I miss that wonderful 4-grain taste. The only flavor I've found that's remotely close is the rare 4-grain Chex cereal, which maintains the flavor of Team, but not the flaky texture. I also LOVED that the cereal stayed crispy to the bottom of the bowl, a huge treat. And their recipe for Team Flakes Chicken (on the side of the box) was our favorite, hands down. I still make it today, but I use Special K, the closest flake cereal to offer an even remotely similar flavor and texture to Team. How I wish there were a way to encourage Kraft Foods to consider reintroducing this wonderful cereal, in light of today's healthier eating goals. Such a wonderful memory. RECOMMEN

What, no Fruit Loops? Like many of you, I love some nice Frosted Flakes, or Corn Flakes covered in sugar! There used to be a killer cereal called Team Flakes. Haven't seen them now forever.

David, Proper form for an ellipsis is three dots, each separated by a space. I was once firmly admonished for this same error by an old editor of mine. Sorry to be so hypercritical, but my inner grammar nazi overcame me and I posted without even considering what I was doing.

First thing that came to my mind, too. Otherwise, would such a moniker be laudatory or derogatory? Tailgater, can you give us any context regarding what you heard on the show?

Some guys here are getting nicely reeled in by the troll! (not that there's anything wrong with that)

Improper punctuation. Bummer when one screws up an English critical post!

Not so much what's ON my list, but what I can't bear to receive year after year . . . junky golf knickknacks, banal golf humor or guide books, the same old golf calendars, etc., etc.. How about an envelope marked "Golf Fund" full of big bills?

This theme seems pretty common judging by the responses here. I too dream, or have nightmares, of not being able to get it teed up or take a swing at it. No, they are definitely nightmares, not dreams!

Grammatical error using "beat" instead of beaten. Sorry if this has already been pointed out. It's taking me quite a while to get through this huge thread! -
Joe, I'm just saying that's what it looks like. I'm certainly not opposed to these girls hugging, but it sure looks awkward the way they avoid touching their boobs together. Also, heaven forbid the LPGA should ever ban shorts!
-
The official protocol seems to mandate a hug without touching breasts. The result is visually awkward generally, and sometimes almost embarrassing. I would heartily endorse the make-out option instead! I'm probably just odd, but I really like the LPGA primarily for the T and A. I also find that an incredibly talented LPGA golfer becomes more physically attractive.

Eat, drink, and be merry! The default channel on the tv is The GolfChannel. I find indoor golf simulators expensive and unsatisfying, so I just tough it out until Spring!

Dozens of potential whistleblowers were silenced forever, beginning with Oswald himself. This is factual. I also believe the "shooter's nest" in Dallas is configured for public viewing in such a way as to prevent an actual view from the window down the alleged bullets' paths. Anybody here been there that can corroborate this?

Great first post! Knowing Feherty only from his public tv persona, I might give the man a wide berth if I thought he had concealed weapon, though I am not opposed to people carrying weapons in general. Disclaimer: I only read the first and last page of this thread.

Being relatively old, this subject fascinates me. I would love to get "the other side" of the story, or sides, whatever the case. It is amusing to fantasize about the ways one could dispose of a vast fortune. Most certainly, it will always remain just a fantasy! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2514041/Beatle-George-Harrisons-sister-Louise-82-lives-broke-rural-Missouri.html?ITO=1490&ns;_mchannel=rss&ns;_campaign=1490
