  1. Just posted this in another gamertag forum, but there's nothing like being redundant :) My GT is zilegati. Currently my 3 most played Live games are TW09, Left 4 Dead and Burnout Paradise.
  2. GT - zilegati TW09, Left 4 Dead, Burnout Paradise...
  3. I agree with Harry, although I will make the point that the 983k might be a good transitional driver to work with for a while, especially since it was a gift. A bigger and more forgiving driver is definitely better, but if the OP is used to hitting with a 3 wood, the large head size of the 460cc might be a little off-putting. To each his own.

I agree. She's a good looking girl, but she needs to get some curves on her. What is she, like 50 pounds?
  5. I hit a shot Thursday that was going to land short of the green. I said, "give me some love baby". This was with a pitching wedge, so it came in on a pretty high trajectory, but lo and behold it hit on an upslope and still managed to jump onto the green and rolled to about 3 feet from the hole. My Dad hit right after me from a similar position and hit a similar distance short of the green, but his rolled back into the rough. The only real difference in the shots is that he didn't talk to his golf ball. I think the Mythbusters would call that "Myth Confirmed".
  6. Just a quick FYI for those who have DirecTV, Starz/Encore has a free preview going for the weekend. I had totally forgot about it until this morning. I went through and set some recordings on my DVR, but truthfully I didn't see a lot of must see movies on the list. Worth checking out though. Oh, and I agree with others on Stranger Than Fiction. Very surprising good movie.
  7. I'm enjoying this show as well. Does anyone know if there are any graduates of this school who have managed to go on to be successful in golf?
  8. I agree with your disagreement. I think (hope) that in the end Jay's methods will prove his undoing and that Rob and Charlotte's calm nature will allow them to win.
  9. Totally agree. I think there's no doubt that in the very least R/J doesn't like P/J (I don't think Jay likes anyone, including team R/J)... but I think at least part of the animosity is due to the fact that they think Peach and Jay are the strongest team and are intimidated by them.
  10. While they had the luxury of saying giving everyone a strike was their strategy the first time, they were gunning for Peach and Jay specifically to get the strike over everyone else. This time, Peach and Jay already had a strike and they were trying to use the opportunity to take them out while they had the chance. They obviously think Peach and Jay are the team to beat, and didn't want to waste an opportunity to eliminate them. Of course their strategy backfired (again), but that's my assessment of why they did what they did on this episode.
  11. I agree the points need to be tweaked a little bit more. They went too far the other way this season, trying to get more names into the mix. But I did enjoy last year's playoffs as well as this year's. It does give you something to look at besides the tournament of the week. Even if your favorite player isn't going to win in a given week, you can still get some enjoyment out of rooting for them to finish high enough to put themselves into position for the next week.
  12. This reminds me of a discussion a friend and I had several years ago. I posed the question to him, "if you had the choice of winning 20 tournaments in your career vs. only 1 major and nothing else, which would you choose?" Without hesitation he said "the 1 major". I didn't agree with him at the time, and I still don't agree with him now. If you only win 1 major and nothing else to back it up, you're going to be pretty much forgotten. While the majors are obviously more important, and for good reason, I think you need some other wins to validate yourself as a solid player. 20 years from now, if nothing changes, I think history will be kinder to someone like Colin Montgomerie than to Shaun Micheel.

http://rubofthegreen.blogspot.com I thought I should probably actually update it before posting it here!!!
  14. I got a kick out of his comment before Anthony Kim's birdie putt on 17... something like, "if he misses this one it's because he either pulled it or pushed it or left it short." I know he was making the point that AK should know the line because he'd just seen Furyk's putt, but it reminded me of one of the running jokes in my Sunday scramble match... "if we get the right speed and the right line on this putt, we have a good chance of making it."

I'm assuming you mean does someone have to join blogger in order to post comments? I don't know for sure, but if so, it's not such a bad idea. You'll find if/when you get a blog, if you allow for "anonymous" comments, you'll get a lot of spam from bots and the like who are either not real people or aren't looking to comment on your specific post. They are just looking to spam their product or website. So to require a signup process at the very least ensures the potential poster is a real person.
