  1. There may be slight technology difference, but nothing major. If you've ever taken an stat's class or some form of marketing, they'll teach you graphs where there is the least amount of supply for the most amount of profit, and where the highest price per unit is vs maximum profit. SC is doing this, he's charging the highest amount he can, sure losing a few customers but making more profit off those few who do buy it. Compared to if he was selling cheaper and more people where buying it. Something is only worth as much as people are willing to pay, people are willing to pay 300 for a scotty, so thats how much its worth. It isn't about advanced technology or anything its about what we are willing to pay for it. Now thats not to say SC aren't the best putters around, I love mine and putt a lot better with it than say other putters. Which might have to do with the mental game of using a SC but if thats what it takes to putt better than that 300 was well worth it in my opinion. Hope that helped you understand a little better
  2. Hmm what Spikes are you using? I use Black Widows and have never had a problem shredding them, I normally change them at the beginning of the year just to get a fresh set in even though they aren't needed...
  3. I would say get either the $299 R7's and pick up a driver as well
  4. well if the scratch is deep enough it could compromise the structural integrity of the shaft, in essence if you have a solid impact on the ball, the vibrations could cause the expand to expand eventually causing the shaft to break. This depends on how deep the scratch really is...
  5. I never said I was smarter, just a better grasp of the world and more mature. I love how you are putting words in my mouth I never once said that because I went to a private school that I was better than you, I said I was fortunate in going there. But never said that made me better. -Every generation has their good and their bad, I have seen kids from my highschool some of them are going to do extremely well and change things in the world. Not going to comment on the gpa as that is just from your school there are many more. -As far as I am concerned "bitch" isn't a racist term, though it isn't polite still not racist. Our parents generation has paved the way for us here in that there is no longer segregation like there used to be, I know we have it in us to push it away completely. Furthermore, you are putting words in my mouth I never said racism was gone - I said previous generations were more racist than ours. -I am saying my generation because I am apart of it, the person who that response was directed to came from previous generations so therefore it would be my generation not his. -Personally I am not a fan of obama because he hasn't lived up to what he said, and I was against him the whole way because I knew he didn't have the experience. But he has the right message he's trying to instill in us the youth that we can make change if we try. -You don't give yourself or our generation any credit - you think we won't do anything. That is the problem you can make the world change, if our generation works together we will be able to accomplish everything, once our generation gets slightly older out of the teen years and are more mature we will succeed. Sure there are some sour apples in the group but that won't spoil anything. Apoc G - the world is changing, we have better technology and resources now to see how we can solve problems in the world. Will this generation fix everything no, but will we accomplish a lot yes. I never said your degree was meaningless, I said I could prove I am more mature than many adults I meet. I guarantee I could. Maturity isn't based on your education or your age, rather how you conduct yourself. Education and age may factor in, but that isn't the only thing but rather a small thing.
  6. I don't think its the teen's fault rather their parents, should we blame previous generations? Maybe their parents as well for not instilling the right lessons, for them to teach their children? As an 18 year old myself I find it extremely disrespectful when adults are quick to judge me, but in a matter of minutes I can prove I am more mature, more reasonable and hold a better grasp of the world then they could ever dream of. Now I've been fortunate in life and have attended fine institutions for my education, have traveled the world, and have lived in different countries. I don't see my generation as one that will not live up to the expectations that many elderly people give us, but rather we will exceed this even if some wear their jeans below their bottoms, or use profanity more than other words. I truly feel sorry for those that look at MY generation and automatically lose hope for us, I would rather live in my generation then live in one of theirs - where they are more racist more homophobic. MY generation are the ones trying to change the world for the better, we WILL be the one's who overcome many milestones that have once been perceived as unreachable, by YOUR generation because you thought of the change but were unable to reach it because YOU couldn't stop being racists and sticking to your ways. We are capable of changing and adapting for the better. Sorry for this rant, I am just disgusted when people don't give my generation the credit we deserve and let us grow up and enjoy our youth before we are our fixing the problems from global warming to starvation that your generations have left us to clean up.
  7. Pretty well How my list would go as well
  8. I doubt it, try one out and see if they still feel alright
  9. I play it till I lose it, have a bad hole and throw it in a pond... or it gets scuffs on it
  10. I used to play a beginner golf set, and slowly started switching over until I had the set I wanted. One of the last things I worked on was wedges... wow I wish I had switched over sooner, vokey wedges has improved my short game amazingly. I get much better feedback off the club than the less expensive ones I had before
  11. A putter that works for me may not work for you, everyone is different. Your best bet is to go to a local golf store and test ones out from different companies and find one that's a winner for YOU. Well you can go blade or mallet putter and there are many options depending on your price range.
  12. What do you mean metal? They still use steel shafts in many irons, not all are graphite normally you can chose which one you prefer. I use steel for irons/wedges and putter and graphite for woods and hybrids
  13. congrats, always nice to reward yourself after working hard might as well enjoy the money you've earned. I am actually in exactly the same predicament of wanting 2 vokey's and a scotty :P let me know how they play
  14. I am 6 foot 2, and play +1.5 and it dramatically improved my game
  15. That would make sense, thanks... It was a weird ground almost a sand. some spots were soft (I guess for where they went flying) other parts were extremely hard (where they snapped I guess). But would you have any suggestions to a tee that would work well? or should I just suck it up
  16. you won't be hitting the ball as far as you would if you used a harder ball. As at impact the ball absorbs the energy from the club and thats how it moves. With a softer ball it absorbs more of the energy than a firmer ball so it doesn't have that extra energy to go further. Basically physics tells you it will go further if you have a high swing speed and use a harder ball.
  17. nop was right around 100f out when I was playing
  18. Yeah I know, with my old drive I never broke a single one. Sure I lost some that went flying and counldn't find them/didn't have the time to spend 10 minutes looking. But when I saw them snapping in half today I was quite surprised.
  19. I picked up a new Tour Burner today and took it to the range for a bit. I was losing tees like nobody's business. I would average 1 tee per 2 balls. I started off using the plastic zero friction tees, those were snapping in half or flying 10-15 feet down the range. Then I switched to wooden tees and they were snapping and flying down the range again. So I am asking what sort of tee should I invest in that won't snap every second swing (I don't want those brush ones, dislike them very much).
  20. Just try them out, play a round with each or go to the driving range and hit a bucket of balls with them. See which feel better in your hands. Personally I would go with the Taylor Made's but that's just from my own experience
  21. regular except on woods I got stiff
  22. #4 is generally around 22 degrees
  23. Well personally I prefer the classic shoe, I can still find comfortable ones but it just adds to the whole aspect of the game to me at least
  24. I hate my driver - Since I just got new irons today, I will wait a week or so before venturing out on the market for a driver. Though the driver is definatly the worst club for me in my bag. I use it as little as possible some times optining to use a hybrid or 3 wood instead.
  25. if you didn't have cords before it'll hurt your hands for a bit, you can regrip them cheap if you don't like the feel of them
