  1. I would Try 3 different sets and go from there. It would either be the MP 33's, MP 67's, and the new Titleist Blades. Which ever one that I like better than the MP 32's that I have would be what I got.
  2. For one thing, move the ball farther back in you stance. The ball should be just inside if not lined up with the heal of the left foot. That will help some.
  3. Does anyone know of a good golf instructor in the Columbia area? I live between Columbia and Aiken, so if there is a good one in Aiken, I am up for that.
  4. I would get a Newport 2 Studio Select and have it done through the Custom Shop and change the colors of the dots.
  5. I am really interested in seeing one of these. I am not sure that I am happy with me 905T and this might be what I am looking for. I sure that it will be out of my price range, but who knows. I am glad to see that Titleist keeps coming out with new stuff.
  6. With Wallyworld, the balls from name brands are normally X-outs. That is what Titleist I have seen there.
  7. I have to agree. The Pro V1x has much lower spin, but still can be spun a lot and it will serve you well. It is a feeling though. You might want to try some others as well to see what fits you best.
  8. I love my 4 wood. I would not have anything else. I definitely suggest it. I hit the ball long with it and I am much more accurate with it than I am with a 3 wood.
  9. http://www.titleist.com/historical_c...ails.asp?id=54 I have these. I would not trade them for anything. I definitely suggest that he learns on blades. The ones that I posted a link to are the ones that I learned on. I am a really good ball striker because of it. I reall like them.
  10. Bite your tongue. I do not want to think about golf being done less and less. I do not want to hear that. More than likely. GAS PRICES. They are taking a chunk of money and people do not have as much to play golf now. That is the major thing.
  11. Dress codes are good for the game. I have the same problem as you do. I hat seeing idiots wearing crap to the course because you know that they are not going to take care of the course.
  12. I would have to say more is better. If you want to keep your game going until times are better, then play more now. When everything turns around, then play the better courses and take pride doing it.
  13. I will say in a little rain yes. Heavy downpour, no. And especially if there is a thundrestorm, then I cancel the tee time. I have played in the rain many of times and I have not problem doing it.
  14. I have to say yes. I have not been hitting a club good and convinced myself to get a new one and since then hit it good. The only downside to that is that it will pass and you will be hitting it badly again. It is a mental thing.
  15. I would say that the worst part of my game besides accuracy is 130 and in. I have a thread related to that somewhere and it is basically wedges. I am getting better, but it still needs a lot of work. Tha accuracy issue is do to swing consistancy. I am working on a consistent swing and once I get that down, I think my game will come back together. The best part of my game to dat is putting. Since I and struggling with accuracy everything is hit and miss.
  16. The big shoulder turn gives you more time to accelerate through the ball. With a smaller turn, you do not get as much time in the downswing to accelerate. This is the torque factor that everyone is talking about. The turn of the shoulder creates torque in your body, and the more torque in the back swing is more that you have to uncoil when starting the downswing creating more whip in the club and creating club head speed. And everyone know more club head speed is distance.
  17. It has to be nerves or you did no thit some ball to warm up. I cannot play without hitting some balls to warm up. I have something wrong with my left hand and for the first 10 shots or so there is a pain in the back of my hand. After that, I am just fine and I do not have any problems and start hitting the ball like I am supposed to.
  18. I cannot play with money on the line. I have the tendecy to over think and not just play the game.
  19. I like hitting the ball high. I hit the ball high and it sticks. I can also use a lot of spin if needed, but I find that the high shot helps me out a lot more. Most tour players hit the ball high and stick it. The greens that they play on, it is much better to hit it high with no a lot of spin than to hit it low and try to control it with spin.
  20. I agree with some and not with others. When you swing too hard, the first thing that you are normally doing is after the backswing you jump at the ball. That is where the fast jerk at the ball to try and kill it. This is not a good thing. This is when my snap hook comes back with avengance. I pull left and have a 30 yard hook. Not very pretty and get you into trouble very quickly. The "swing like a girl" comment is true and false. I have been to an LPGA event and they are awesome. They have some of the most fluid swings that I have ever seen. It is not about swing easy, but it more about swinging smooth. Smooth is all about coming back semi slow and getting set and accelerating through the ball. When I am swinging smoothly, I hit the ball really straight with about a 0-5 yard draw. It feels better than anything when I strike the ball. I also hit the ball much farther when hitting "smooth". When I jump at the ball, I hit the 8 iron about 150-160. That is good, but when I am smooth, I hit the 8 about 165 without feeling like I put any effort into the swing. You have to make sure to accelerate through the ball.
  21. I might check it out. You never know until you try something.
  22. I hit them high as well. If you want them to stay down low, you have to put them back in your stance and basically punch the ball. That will keep it lower. You also have to be good at controlling the distance. When hitting the punch, you have to put more spin on it and that is difficult. Also, if you cannot spin the ball well, then it is going to release and you need to be hitting the front of the green and having the ball release to the hole. If the pin is in the front, that is where that high shot will come in handy.
  23. I think for that much, I better have a sponsor that is paying for them or more money than I need. They cannot be that good to spend that much money on them.
  24. I would unload the 2 iron or 5 wood. Which ever one you hit better should stay in the bag and the other should go.
  25. Only in one case. That being if you really like it and feel comfortable putting with it and do not buy it. I have a Scotty and I payed 200 for it. It is the best 200 that I have ever spent. I just feel more comfortable and confident with it. Now that I feel more confident with it, I putt better with it.
