    Amazing Story

Wow. That's an awesome story. I almost started to tear up a little bit. I hope my son progresses like that. My son is 17 months old and looks identical to that kid when he's playing in front of the TV with plastic clubs. He loves the game just as much as I do and sits and watches it with me every Sunday. If you try to take his clubs away from him and put him to bed he throws a complete fit, and if he's out playing he yells "GOF BALL, GOF, GOF BALL" until you hand him his clubs and Callaway practice balls. So we might have our own prodigy here soon.
  2. I just started playing at the beginning of this year. I'm 22 years old and I wish that I started a long time ago now. I've went from hitting 120 back in March of this year to hitting in the mid to lower 90's, breaking 90 a couple times, and having my first eagle. I'm very happy with my progression this year and hope to get consistently down in the lower 80's next year.
  3. Wow... we have par 3's at courses near me that are longer than those holes.
  4. I once hit a tree about 40 yards out and it came right back in the same line that it left and landed right at my feet. It came pretty close to hitting me.

    Trophy balls

I kept my first eagle ball. That's it so far except for when I get an ace.
  6. I had the same thing happen to me this year, but I was from 130 yards out and it dropped right in the cup. It was my first eagle and the ball sits on my dresser at home. It's a huge deal to me so you're not alone.
  7. I had never seen anyone hit by a ball until yesterday. We had a free foursome to a local country club via our vice-president, so a couple of the guys from work went out. We were standing on the 17th tee box a couple had already hit and we were joking around then out of nowhere "BOOM". One of our sales guys gets hit right in the chest with a erant tee shot from the 16th tee box. There's probably about 250 yards from each of the tee box's. This shot dropped him to the ground and he's 6'7" 260lbs, pretty big guy. I thought we were going to have some kind of confrontation, but he calmed down by the time the guys came to get their balls. I think they were a little scared too. lol
  8. Probably a dozen of random balls that I find at courses and then a dozen Nike Juice.
  9. The longest drive I've ever had was when I drove to green on a Par 4 320 yard. I had some wind helping me though.
  10. Wow, that guy sounds like a douche. I would have told him to quit messing around and if that didn't work I'd probably get thrown off the course, but that's just me I guess. If the putt was really only a foot or so, I'd call it a gimme and go about my business. Good round.
  11. And you didn't buy it or tell us where we could get it if you'd not going to buy it?
  12. I'd say for a mid hdcp and average players a 7I should be around 150 yards +-10 yards.
  13. haha Yeah, that's what I say to my brother everytime we walk up on a 120-140 yard Par 3. I'm like "This one is going to go right in the hole like that eagle I hit."
  14. I'd say that the majority of my birdies have came on par 5's. The only eagle I've ever hit was on a par 4 from 130 yards on the 2nd shot. It was just a lucky shot.
  15. Wow, congrats. I hope they could possibily let you in on it, either way you'll have a good story at least. lol
  16. My brother just got the Cleveland Hibore XLS at Dicks last weekend for $150, which was on sale from $299.
  17. I usually start out just taking half swings with my 60 degree until I form a rythym in my swing(that's what a former PGA player said he did before rounds so I've adapted that into my routine). Then I start making full shots and just go up from my 60 degree until I reach my driver.
  18. What kind of ball did it fit you too? It just seems weird that they can fit the right ball for me with just some information over the internet. Plus you pay for it.
  19. I think the show is pretty interesting. I already saved the series to record every week on my DVR.
  20. Usually when I play on the weekends I'll end up riding just b/c the rest of my normal foursome like to ride rather than walk. If I'm playing during the week I have my own push cart that I walk with, plus it keeps the cost down a little bit.
  21. Most of the public courses around Columbus, OH are from $32-$38. I usually search for the best deals or coupons and just play there. Like tomorrow I'm teeing off at 9:30AM for $20.50 which regular price is $34.
  22. I play twice a week and probably once a week to the range. 2x4= 8x$34= $272 1x4= 4x$7 = $28_ Equals $300
  23. All I know is the Dick's in Grove City, OH isn't like this. Their putting greens have huge breaks right before the cup, away from the cup. It's actually kind of hard to get them in b/c they are so fast and break so much right at the hole.
  24. Sunday I was playing at the Airport GC in Columbus, OH. I was on the 15th tee Par 4 331 yards. I kinda shanked my tee shot about 200 yards to the right edge of the fairway with a good angle at the pin. I hit an 8 iron from about 130 out, landed on the green right at the pin, I saw it rolling and then BAM disappeared. We walked up to the green and there it was sitting in the cup. Best shot I've ever hit or witnessed in person.
  25. I'm an ASE/Saturn/GM master technician at a Saturn dealership in Hilliard, OH.
