  1. Yeah no point in killing it if you're hitting it OB.

    "A" Iron

    Not an attack wedge?
  3. I'm addicted. Snapple Lemonade Iced Tea is awesome too.
  4. Absolutely. Some of the best rounds I've shot have been rounds which I spent trying to keep up with single digits. Some of my worst rounds were rounds where I got stuck with very bad players.
  5. Just keep up with him, if you shoot a few strokes worse than him you'll hit something in the mid-70s
  6. He should roll it happily into the hole.
  7. Yeah, it was one of those below average country clubs which makes up for their shortcomings with their bad attitude. The funny thing was, I didn't have locker room access when I went to change back after the round. So we just changed in the car with the doors closed.
  8. I actually work for a Forum Search company, it was how I found this place :)
  9. Got to play a lot this Winter, even on Super Bowl Sunday. Global Warming is fantastic news for golf

  11. I recently got yelled at for changing shoes in the back of the car, when the member who invited me told me I wouldn't have locker room priveledges. I was a bit confused.
  12. Sand Wedge about 90% of the time, a deeply choked down PW punch shot 10% of the time.
  13. Could it have completely buried in the bunker?
  14. By the way, my stats over the past 20 rounds, if it helps: Scoring Average: 92.11, Best 81, Worst 105 Putts Average: 36.11, Best 28, Worst 43 Par 3 Average: 4.12, Best 3.29, Worst 5.00 Par 4 Average: 5.36, Best 4.64, Worst 6.44 Par 5 Average: 5.94, Best 4.50, Worst 7.00 GIR Percentage: 27%, Best 50%, Worst 0% Birdie Percentage: 2%, Best 6%, Worst 0% Par Percentage: 25%, Best 44%, Worst 6% Bogey Percentage: 36%, Best 50%, Worst 11% Other Percentage: 36%, Best 11%, Worst 72%
  15. Well, here's what I basically wrote in my original thread which never appeared. My clubs in my bag, currently, are as follows, yardage-wise: Driver: 240 Average 2I(H): 210 Average off tee, 195-200 Average off Fairway 3I(H): 190 4I: 180 5I: 170 6I: 160 7I: 148 8I: 138 9I: 127 PW: 115 SW: 100 60 Degree: 80 So the problem is that it's hard to see where a 3W helps me in terms of off the tee, since my 2I is plenty long, and I probably could never hit the 3W (I play Sumo2) off the deck anyway. Plus, I can't hit the 60Deg reliably off the fairway (rough/sand is no problem) enough to go with it, and I can do reasonably well enough with the SW. So I was thinking some groups of clubs are a possiblity: 3W/4W type club Some Wedge Some "Gimmicky club", like the following: Alien Sand Wedge 73 Degree Lob Wedge A lefthanded club?!
  16. I tried to start a new thread on it but I'm too much of a n00b to have that ability yet. (If a mod could allow the thread I created a couple of days ago in this subforum, I'd be thrilled). I hit this Sand Wedge with the Ignite set between 95-105. My 60 degree goes about 75-80, but it's very hard to hit out of the fairway. I had a 52 and 56 degree wedge in my bag, but this SW took those out of the equation. So anything higher than this SW I can't reliably hit out of a tight lie, and out of the rough, I'm quite well covered between my SW and my 60 degree.
  17. You have the following listed in your bag: Soon to be Taylormade Burner Draw 3,4,5 Hybrid 6,7,8,9 Irons PW I'm presuiming you have a putter also, so that means you're only playing 10 clubs in your bag? You might as well add that Nike SW and a nice Cleveland 60 degree, and you'll still have room for 2 more clubs in your bag!
  18. I've helicoptered a club once, taking a 4 iron off the tee, and it slipped in my hands on the downswing, causing me to totally strike the ground and hurt my wrist. I flung the 4 iron wayyy far that time. I've also been known to toss the clubs towards the cart after using them around the green (easier to find and pick up), but sometimes with a liiiitle too much mustard on them. Also not that long ago missed a tap-in, and went to slam the ball, and ended up taking a chunk out of the green - aiiiiiii. I'm not making that mistake ever again.
  19. Fair enough, I play a 60 degree wedge with 10 degrees bounce out of the sand, usually. 56/14 seems good, too. I was just saying I don't like the Ignite SW out of the sand, it's really being called an "Attack Wedge" lately by nike, for that reason. Apparently, this SW is 54 degrees.
  20. What are you looking for, a wedge to use in sand specifically, or some type of utility club around the green?
  21. Golf in New York is expensive. Even the Munis are usually $60 with cart per player on weekends.
  22. I have this exact club in my bag. Great club, lazer sharp from most distances. You'll want to have a lob wedge for use in sand, though. This is more of an attack wedge for hitting balls 90-100 yards (depending on your distance, think of it as about a PW -10 or 15 yards).
  23. I generally play from the middle tees, but I've been playing from the back tees if the guys I'm playing with are. I actually want to experiment a little with playing from the forward tees just to experience the course differently. Funny thing is I find I score about equally from both sets, it seems that there is something beneficial about playing with good players.
  24. The issue in this case is that you don't know entirely whether the outside agency took it or not, the "Known or virtually certain" part. I'd argue it was virtually certain in this case, but since we didn't see it happen, it could have easily taken a funny bounce or something. If I'd known, that means I would have seen them do it, and I would have chased after them
  25. No, I left it at the top of the bunker for the ground crews to handle. The bunker was well out of play, though, given the pin placement. There weren't woods around the green, unfortunately, and I figured handling a dead bird wasn't a good idea. The bunker was about the most away from the hole I could find. Of course, if someone horribly shanked their approach shot... I figured anywhere would be better than where we found it, right inside the cup.
