  1. I have a fetish for a pocket full of fresh clean balls. It gives me that secure, at peace feeling that everyone should have with his golf set-up. I kinda over prepare. Clean towel...clean balls..(no remarks)...clean clubs...I think I have an illness. Maybe obsessive compulsive!
  2. I use the Taylor made R-7's. Great club. I used to play several years ago and was shooting with great consistency with Hogan GS forged clubs. Well..that was a long time ago. I picked up this set and I'm impressed with the feel and how easily I was able to get back into the game without killing myself. I have a ways to go to get back into my original form...but every week I get better. One thing however...check the grip size and make sure that the feel is right for you. The first thing I did was to change the grips and instant improvement.
  3. You should feel stoked!! It's nice to get results from your hours of practice and dedication to the game. This game has many ways of rewarding us. It's amazing...we could play bad all throughout the game..and then the last hole drive a ball straight down the middle, nail the green and two putt...and that ONE hole will bring us back week after week. Congratulations!!!
  4. Typically, I create most of the pressure all by myself. You anticipate the game all week and you are hoping and prayin' that you'll have a good game so that you can come home feeling proud and content. You are driving to the course thinking of everything you've practiced or visualized all week. You step out there on the first tee with the whole world watching it seems and then with all that nervous anticipation...you shank one into the woods or water. AAHHHHHH! @#$#@%& As previously stated in these posts, use your course management skills and club down and get the first shot off straight. A high percentage shot you might say. Most first holes are not horribly high in difficulty. Remember...you have 17 more holes left to be a hero. In contrast...doesn't it stink when you rip a great drive and no one is watching cuz' they are pre-occupied by someone else on the course? "Gee...you guys missed my 350 yard drive!!!"
  5. Now I don't care who you are...that was funny!!
  6. Well...lets think about that. If experience counted...then who has the most experience?? HHmmm....I think Palin has a great deal more experience than Obama based on the governmental positions that she has held. She is a heck of a lot prettier too!!
  7. Unless he was playing around with you in jest...I think I would have been walking off of that hole with a damaged putter. I've never played a round with anyone that would even think of such a thing unless he/she was playing around with me. Kind of unusual.

    Grass Ranges

I go to the driving range and git off a mat and do great!! THEN...I get to the course and find myself hitting fat. I prefer to hit off grass. Real time and real life swings. Like previously stated...great to burn a proper swing into muscle memory...but be careful what you burn in...it could get you in trouble.
  9. If I can hit it well...it goes in the bag! I have a fetish for wedges so I have an abundance of them lurking around. Therefore..I took the 3 iron out and put the hybrid in its place. I'm darn sure that I have exceeded the maximum number of clubs in the ol' bag. I almost get a hernia lifting the darn thing.
  10. I'm impressed ! Wow!! Where can I get one of those?? Imagine...I join a forum for golf and end up with a blender.
  11. Ya know...we all know Tiger is a great golfer and a role model to many young kids out there. However...with that said, I feel that Jack N. was the epitome of class. He brought a certain mystique to the game of golf. As a matter of fact...the first lesson that I ever took was from his video tape that was titled..."Golf. Play it my way!" It was a great tape and it launched me into the golf world with a lot of enthusiasm. I was sitting there in front of the TV with a note pad and pen taking pages and pages of notes. Arnie, Lee and Jack were the heroes of that time in life!
  12. I'm new to the forum and I work as a Fleet manager for several local dealerships and act as a liaison for a couple of credit unions as an adviser for their members. Thank you all for having me!!
  13. How bout' the Taylor made R-7's? They were on sale at Dick's sorting goods for $399 with steel shafts.
