  1. Kelly I'm ok with. Vince is so so for me.
  2. Caddy shack #1 for sure. Bagger 2nd. Bobby Jones Stroke of genius #3.
  3. I hope they fixed the distance issue. Both the r7's I tried and the r5 Dual TP were about 20 yards shorter than my 983 and about 30 yards shorter than my G2. (Tooting his own horn): This is my 300th post here!
  4. It's johnny alright. I spent about 4-5 hours with him, myself and a blackjack dealer. I can tell.

    Soccer

Is soccer golf? No? then I don't care about it.
  7. I'm SO set on clubs I could start my own shop. Now for me it's apparel and accessories to buy this year.
  8. I probably own 10 putters from tournaments, gear reviews etc. But my ping zing that I've had for years is FRIGGIN' MAGIC. I may quit the game if I lose that one.
  9. The longest one I saw I hit. Par 5, 489. I was about 50 yards from the green. I hit a lob wedge to 3 feet and made my eagle. Oh, I forgot to mention the small detail about the cart path, cart path, cart path, cart path...
  10. I'd have to say people with terrible spelling or grammar. And I'm getting pretty annoyed by the R U LOL ROTFLOL stuff...
  11. Here you go: http://www.hookedongolfblog.com/?p=532
  12. I have a tiny tiny canon SD400 digital camera. It also has video capabilities. It will shot 640x480 at 30 frames which is pretty darn good quality. I set it in 320x240 at 15 frames and I can record an entire bucket of about 80 balls on a 1 GB card and watch my swing on the camera's screen or dump it into my computer at home. I spent only 300 bucks for the camera.

    Dick Out

Years ago a friend of mine held ME to the rule. I promply knocked a 3 wood from the ladies tee on the par 4 onto the green, all with my shorts around my ankles. I made the birdie putt and collected his money...
  14. "Ping King Kong" has a good ring to it. How about the new big putter from ping: The Ping Zing King Kong I prefer the new Loch Ness Monster Driver from Nickent: The "Nickent Nessie"
  15. I don't think they are approved but maybe that has changed. Originally they'd hoped that with the implementation of GPS approval they'd be another couple years away from approval...
  16. This too is my plan.... (divorce or not)
  17. I interviewed the CEO of Radargolf for my blog a while back: http://www.hookedongolfblog.com/?p=202 Their thoughts about where it can go are primarily with a company who doesn't have a huge market share of the golf ball world. They know that Titleist would never do it, but they theorize that someone like Nike might. Nike has a tiny market share and could use the buzz or publicity or whatever you want to call it to help try and increase their market share.
  18. Yep, I've got Paul winning too. He's mr cool. TJ was a meltdown waiting to happen. I'm amazed he got that far.
  19. I wonder if they actually give the cart people some training on when to park and course etiquette. I just thought of this one cart girl who must have no sales or tips. She just constantly drives the cart, looking straight ahead and never stops!
  20. I don't mind a good cigar sometimes when I'm golfing. It helps me play better when I'm struggling. I think mainly it's giving me something else to think about.
  21. Though I've never really put it in the bag, mizuno makes some kick ass gear. That fin was the first thing I saw too. I wonder if it "stabilizes" the head while it's flying through the air.... I'm tellin' ya, the lockness moster driver is next.
  22. What a good question. There are two possible sides for this. One guy in one of my leagues actually complained that the better players who played together had an advantage because they "made each other better." He was lobbying to have the starter mix high and low handicappers to make it more "fair." My reply to him was I thought he was stepping over the line and that when I played with great golfers, they didn't sink my putts for me or hit my drives for me. When I play with better players I usually concentrate more. When I play with better players I don't worry about them stepping in my line or talking in my swing. I'd say 80% of the time I play better with better players. Now I look at playing with hacks as a challenge. As a 2 handicap I find it very hard to play with hacks. I don't even watch their swings. I think it is challenging to try to concentrate on my own game and play well, despite the fact that the hackers are moving around while I'm hitting, talking while I'm hitting, standing in my line etc... Sometimes you just want to smack them though, but they don't know these etiquette things because no one has told them yet! Now if I end up playing with someone and they take their shirt off? NO WAY.
  23. That wouldn't even get you on the course! Last time I played there it was $200.
  24. My last trip to the pro he told me to try NOT to go parallel with my driver. I went to about 90%, hit it just as far and increased accuracy. Irons are another story. Depends on if I'm trying to kill it, full swing, 80% or what...
  25. So true. Most amateurs are short but they want spin... PROV1 is THE ball. I can spin it like a mother if I want to (and sometimes when I don't want to).
