  1. I would get lessons. I had some lessons earlier this year and I can't even tell you how much its improved my game. I don't have much money right now so lessons are out of the question.
  2. The Website I use says my Handicap is a 14.8 and my last 3 scores were: 88 (68.6/122) Par 72 84 (65.8/110) Par 70 69 (57.4/85) Par 57 Don't know how accurate the site is, but I assume it's not too far off.

    Is This Normal?

Well I only get to practice only 1-2 times a week and Play 1-2 times a month. I've also had about 6 lessons, which really has brought my game a long way. Unfortunately I don't ever get to practice or play as much as I really want to. After this semester of school I really want to spend more time on my game and continue with lessons when I actually have some extra money.
  4. Next May will mark 2 years of playing golf and I've got my handicap down to a 14.8. I was just wondering is this normal for an average player who has been playing this long? or am I a bit behind, or ahead?

    Big Break Disney

This Sucks, ever since I started watching the show I've always hated Andrew Giuliani. The guy is simply a jackass and have no respect for the guy. Now I learn he has the exact same birthday as I do 1/30/86.
  6. Hey, Thanks for the info, it's a little bit of a drive, but for that price it's worth checking out.
  7. In this sort of event I have a special pocket my bag with Yellow range balls I give them.
  8. Trust me, you don't want to walk in the Florida heat, maybe in the wintertime, but most people here ride in carts anyway. Although when I was in colorado this summer and noticed a lot more people walk there, but it was a lot cooler during the day. I guess it really depends on your climate.
  9. The Best thing I got as a gift for my Ipod was a Bluetooth hookup, so the Earphones are wireless. No cords! http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA280_.jpg
  10. I have had one for a few months now and i must say, it has paid itself off many times. I only use it when the golf course is busy and I'm either waiting to hit, or the course is completely dead. I can't even tell you the amount of brand new balls I've found, but I can understand why people look down on them. I really don't care, their bad shot equals one brand new ball for me.
  11. I was in Fort Collins about a month ago and I was wondering why I was hitting so much further. Then I got back home to Orlando and i was wondering why I wasn't hitting as far then realized it was the altitude. Needless to say i was so pissed afterwards!
  12. Easiest thing i learned to get my swing on the right plane on the downswing is to naturally let my arms fall, it got me on the inside to outside swing plane and has been a great way to ease up on any tension.
  13. At first I felt the same way. I felt the glove was pointless, but now I've realized I can't apply the correct grip pressure and keep the club properly in my hand while making a shot without a golve on. Once my hands start to sweat, if I'm not wearing a glove I can barely swing without it feeling like it wants to slip right out of my hands.
  14. Wow, It scares me knowing that there really are people out there as crazy as this nut job. Does he really think he's going to sell any of that crap?
  15. Yeah, a lot of great places, but so damn expensive!
  16. Wow, That describes me exactly! I had an r5 as well and I loved it. I think the dumbest thing i did was get rid of it to get a tour burner, thinking it would be even better, but no. I would suggest looking on ebay for another r5 or the r7. They are pretty cheap now that the r9 is out.
  17. Well, here's the update. I found a guy who teaches at a golf school ( Advantage Golf School) not to far from my house. I called him up yesterday and he seemed very knowlageable and understanding of what I want to accomplish and my expectations. I have my first lesson next weekend and I'm really looking forward to it. I'll keep an update on how things go.
  18. So I'm finally biting the bullet and going to start taking some golf lessons. My only problem is, how do I find a good teacher? I know there are a ton here in Orlando, but how do I find one that would work the best for me? Any suggestions? How did you guys go about finding a teacher?
  19. Yeah man I know what you mean. My last 2 times I played I scored 90, Both times! I was pissed, yet happy that I was getting better.
  20. Wow, That looks like it would be a lot of fun! Never seen anything like that before.
  21. Puterputter Thank you! I got it working!
  22. I was wondering the same thing. I don't have a tv at work and I would like to watch it online.
  23. I'm about to buy one, but I can't decide on the 5 or the 7 iron. Those of you who have bought one which one would you recommend?

    Weather

I must say I really enjoy a Florida Winter! more like a fall to most of you.
  25. I guess it's just a preference thing, also since that was my first putter I've grown used to it and maybe that's why putting seems easier with it.
