If I can get a good enough deal on it. I want a 17 degree Mizuno CLK hybrid. I love love love the one I have so that'll bump out the 3 hybrid from nike. After summer I'll probably be hunting for deals to replace the irons.

So i picked up and have gone through Jack Nicklaus' Golf my way and now Ben Hogans 5 lessons. Trying out their stuff has made an amazing difference on my swing. I was at the range last night and hitting like I never have before. I can even feel/tell now what I did wrong when i hit a slice or hook or topped the ball. Just focusing on straight left arm + head down + hip turn to start the shot. All those extra swing thoughts I was having before are just gone now. Love this game :)

When I was young I was in a summer golf school. Out on the 9 hole course for a practice round. Just about to hit an approach to the green and I hear my brother yell lookout. Turn around to see a ball bounce once off a drive then hit me in the temple. Laid me out flat and I was out for about 10 seconds or so. Lucky for me the guy driving it was younger too and couldnt put as much on it as an adult would have.

I love my CLK but want to try the iron styled one.

I'm 6'2" and playing a standard length/lie right now. My plan is put in a season with my cheaper irons (the ignites I picked up on the cheap). If I play enough I get to reward myself with a step up and a fitting.

I got my Tiempo for $50CAD at golftown on boxing day :)

Finally warmed up to 5-7C now so we're getting some good rain and snow melt. Now for the range to get out there and collect up some balls so they can reopen :) Dying to play a round but I guess I can settle for the range.

I don't really care about what people are wearing so much as how they act on a course. I'd rather see a well behaved, divot fixing guy in a wife beater and basketball shoes than a guy dressed to the nines getting drunk and leaving the course a mess.

My ignite set came with the 3H I'm still having some issues hitting the 4i straight and long so I picked up the Mizuno 4H for $50 at a demo sale.

I got into it when quite young because my older brother was. We did a summer course in golf and played a fair bit. I ended up losing interest at some point for some reason and didn't play again for years. Early this year I was getting married and my brother (who still golfs a fair bit) planned my stag which was camping + a round of golf with the boys an a cheap executive course. I right away remembered the fun of it and have been hooked again since. I even sold off most of my videogame equipment to fund the iron set in my sig. Now I'm at the range 3 times a week and can't wait for next season and getting my skills good enough to upgrade to new irons again :)

I'm just waiting for the snow to melt enough for the range to be open so I can try out the new christmas clubs + the footjoy warm golf gloves.

Had to dig my car out of the snow to get to work today. I hate you :)

You show up at the driving range in -10C weather with 6" of snow on the ground and are pissed the range is closed due to weather. I need to get my practice in dammit!

Footjoy wintersof gloves bought now to find some other warm but flexible clothing for the range

High of -3C.. -15C low with wind chill. Sunny for a change and now it's too cold to golf. Stupid Vancouver weather :) Might even be too cold for the range if the wind is still around tonight. Maybe it's time to invest in some winter golf gloves.

Usually whatever is on sale. I'm too new and lose too many balls to worry about super high performance.

I just have the 3 that came with my ignite set. I might pick up a 4 or 5 to use for a bit until I get my long iron swing more consistent. I can hit the 6 and up quite well but once I drop down I have a hell of a time. Need more practice + lessons :)

I was trying them on on the weekend too. Ended up really liking the feel of the #3. It was between that and one of the on sale Odessey 2 balls for a christmas present from the wife for me and I'm going with the Nike (the #3)

I like to get stuff for the childs play charity started by the guys at penny arcade http://childsplaycharity.org/ it's nice to help some poor sick kids have some fun while stuck in hospitals for long periods

The wife is getting me a new putter (I've gotta go try a couple but am leaning towards an odessey white hot or a nike unitized) Her dad is all happy about me starting golf now that he's getting me some sort of golf themed gift. Other than that.. maybe i'll get some green fee gift cards

How durable does the simulator pad seem? I imagine it would have to be built pretty tough to withstand people swinging metal poles at it all day and was wondering how stable/secure it stays.
