  1. Hey John - you have a nice looking swing with a nice turn on the backswing. I’m not a pro, but just something that helped with a similar issue on hitting mat and getting the body movement going forward before the top of the backswing is working on the swing flow drill from the Covid practice plan. Take a look and maybe others can add further input. Best wishes.
  2. Day 6 - April 17, 2021 Started the day with a short range session about 45 min working on my key priorities and how I want to attack today’s round. Settled in to my swing and headed to putting green for about 20 min. Focus on strong grip and bringing the left down and under. Downswing - keep club back longer and head down. Had a decent round of 89. Irons and fairway shots were much improved with the swing changes. Thank you, Kris, if you’re on here. My worst part of my game today was my putting (arg... I need to fix this). Leaving way too many strokes on the course in this part of my game. I may need to do an Evolvr session on putting. Oh well... a work in progress.
  3. Day 5 - April 16, 2021 Another great range day. 2 hours of work on the elements from my Evolvr review. Strong grip and turning the left side down and under. Found a good trigger with the right heel to pull the left side down and maintain the tilt. Spend time slowing everything way down to impact to maintain the body turn and not stalling. Also did more full swing drills along with 1/2 of chipping with the strong grip. Finished with some putting for about 15 min. I have a round scheduled for tomorrow morning.
  4. I totally agree! I love my range and spend a lot of time there. That is why I signed up again with Evolvr.... to make the most of that time, and not just hit ball after ball without any focus.
  5. Day 4 - Apri 15, 2021 i got my first Evolvr submission/analysis back today. Yeah! Spent 3.5 hours at the range working through my priority items from the review.... stronger grip, and getting left hips, shoulder, and knees to work down and inside along with the shoulder tilt at the top. Working through these concepts slowly and rehearse with various clubs. Also, continuing work on the swing flow drill. Adding a trigger move to begin the backswing. Ended up with something similar to Matthew Wolff. Seem to help with getting to that final position on the follow through. Ended session with some chip, pitch and putts to wrap up the day. Chip and pitch with the new strong grip.
  6. Yep, I get that. There is so much in life that needs to be prioritized over golf. Golf is still a game. Life, and the people in need to be given more priority. Sometimes I forget that. But hopefully, there will be a time in the future when you can do your 4 day golf school. Best wishes.
  7. Just came across this topic, since it has been on my mind.... and looking for advice on how to get the best out of my range sessions. I know I coming in a bit late on this thread, but thought it was an important one. My range is really close and I have a membership with unlimited balls. I would always start with 2 large buckets (about 200 balls) and alternate 3 balls each on driver, long iron, mid iron and wedge.... with working on one or two aspects of the swing. Started now to add in the drills, since I’m back on TST. Then, I move over to practice green, where I would mix up chip/pitch and putt out. Along with lag putting practice, and putting from different distances. Right now, I have focusing on putting flow and torso turn.
  8. Day 3 - April 14, 2021 Chip and pitch drill using the COVID-19 practice plan drills for 1 hour. Adding in the Pitch wedge along with my Lob 60. Practiced pitch and chips in my 30 yard practice course. Getting better and putting them close. Even holed one. Yeah! 1/2 hour of swing flow drill practice (my fav) with pitching wedge.
  9. Day 2. - April 13, 2021 Spent two sessions today deemed as Short Game Tuesday (for my self-imposed practice plan). Total 1.5 hours working on the leading edge chipping drills and pitch drills. I combined the pitch to letting the club fall 3x as in the drill and swing through a shot at different distances with 60 degree wedge. Also spent 1/2 hour doing slow motion swing flow drill with the same wedge. Feeling more confident with the wedges. Good day today.

  11. Continuing to work on the Swing Flow drill with iron, wedge, driver, and hybrid. Alternating between the drill and regular swing to try to ingrain the feel and flow.
  12. Hi Cammy - I’m not an instructor, but just noticed a couple things. At the top, it looks like you may be pulling down a bit with the hands without the body weight shifting forward. And also standing up a bit just before impact with the ball. Just a thought. Others may have better advice than me. I’m learning too. Great job though, considering how long you have been playing. Keep it up!
  13. Broke 90 and now shooting in the 80s. 82 is now my personal best. Yeah!
  14. How did your personal 4 day golf school go? Would you recommend it? And what would you do differently?
  15. Just starting back here in the forum, so setting up my goals for 2021.... 1. I would like to break under 80 by the end of the year. My best score is 82 this past January....see my pic below. 2. No more 3 putts.... goal: only one 3 putt per round. Putting stoke and torso improve for lag putting. 3. settle in to the correct pitch and chip motion. 4. Driver - Draw and fade on-demand as needed for the course design To achieve this.... - I have signed up with Evolvr and working through the Practice Plan drills. - 5-7 days per week at the range working on drills. - 5-7 days of chip, pitch, and putting at the range and in my personal practice area.
  16. Just starting fresh on this thread, since I’m getting serious about my practice routine ... I thought I should do the challenge. Let me know if I’m doing anything wrong.... here we go. Day 1 start.... Worked through the takeaway and full swing flow drills at the range today for a couple hours with and without ball using driver, hybrid, iron, and wedge. Then, worked on the leading edge chip and pitch drill at the practice green for 30 min along with putting flow paying attention to torso rotation.
  17. I have been working on the Full Swing Flow drill from the Practice Plan Challenge, since I believe this is where I need work. I am posting this Face On view of me doing the drill with a 7-iron to make sure I am doing it right and not getting it wrong. I welcome any all comments to help with these moves properly. Thanks!
  18. I was looking for a way to delete the old posts and clean things up a bit, but it doesn’t appear that there is a option. Shrug.
  19. I know I’m a bit behind on this post.... I like this drill and am starting work on it. This maybe answers some of the questions that I have had about “what starts the backswing”.... upper or lower body. I have went back and forth on that and was thinking to use the upper body and have the lower body react to the upper movement. But this changes things I got wrong. Everything works together in one glow then?
  20. Thanks for the reply! And thanks for the tip on the camera setup. It’s been awhile for me doing the camera thing. you are so right... I have been struggling with the initiating of the downswing and hips and foot action. Thanks for your help.
  21. Hi Erik - I posted a swing on my old My Swing site, but I noticed that it got buried into the old content. Is there a way delete or archive the old content. Not sure if others will be able to find the new swing I posted. Thanks.
  22. I am just starting back on the forum after being away for a lot longer than I would like to admit. So, I am posting a new swing to look for comments, though I plan to sign up for Evolvr in the next week. Any and all comments would be much appreciated. This is a 7 iron swing (both views) in my backyard. Thanks!
  23. Yep, my bad on the typo. I made that trip up to Erie awhile back. It was a great day. I may start with the My Swing and Evolvr first. Just a side note.... I know I am a bit late on the April drills, but I spent the afternoon working through the first couple drills at the range. That first drill was money! I had no idea that the initial move could improve my ball contact so much.
