  1. no, not real crowded at all...can easily check out all the golfers
  2. i just got back from todays practice round. had saucon creek club tickets. that tent is nice.
  3. if the above is correct distances from a previous post, i dont see a problem
  4. i recommend going to get fit for driver shaft. Find someone nearby doing say a techvan day or something like that. Someone that would have a trackman on hand to check numbers.
  5. i agree with most everything stated above by the low handicappers
  6. Kenny Perry is a pretty big guy. I met him in person and I'm 6'2 he had some inches on me.
  7. as much as you may keep your wedges dry...these are meant to rust. trust me on that.
  8. head to Japan, Srixon is the leading golf company over there. They must be doing something right. They have always been in the states but have just recently (with the purchase of Cleveland and Never Compromise) started to bring their name to the top of the ranks. It takes time when Titleist whom was originally created for "tour" players. Meaning their equipment was top of the line basically only tour players or very low handicap players could really play. Have an argument against that, ask your sales rep. So when people think Titleist, they think the best. Not a bad plan if you ask me. But other companies are in the mix now. It takes time. A lot of it. But everyone has their own preference, no one club or ball is the best. Just whatever is best for that person. Meaning a Titleisnt could be best for one person, where as a Srixon or Callaway could be best for someone else. Also different companies paying ore money to have tour players play their balls has a say.
  9. at an 18 handicap, i wouldnt worry about working the ball. No offense. just something that should be left for when you hit single digits.
  10. wow, i cant believe someone else loved the maxfli revolution. that was easily the softest ball i've ever played. the slightly off yellow look to it was lovely as well when i found it. you could never find a completely white maxfli revolution. loved that ball.
  11. There is nothing like having an educated set of eyes that can just look at your swing once and know what your doing. It has helped me out more than i can imagine.
  12. the UR-X is a pretty old ball. Go see if you can get your hands on some Z-star x's...great ball. yea, they are. still cheaper than a pro-v
  13. i may be a bit Cleveland brand loyal.
  14. actually shoes matter A LOT. Footjoy Classics...the old ones from 2 years ago.....give you incredible stability. When you swing, your feet arent moving at all. Stability is the biggest thing for me. sure theyre all waterproof and comfortable but as long as they are stable and i dont move, thats where i chime in and buy.
  15. Cleveland Bloom set or the Cleveland Launcher irons set.
  16. if your having trouble. try and hook the crap outta the ball. No joke.
  17. it was an expensive round of beers none the less. Also pretty much made me like AK even more as a golfer. That guy has class. But yet he's really down to earth.
  18. yea i heard they do funny things on the 18th. last year they all tee'd off at once. My buddy and i didnt stick around for the 18th as we wanted to beat traffic.
  19. it was a better ball of 2some. Ended up matching furyk and Kim against Casey and perry. Furyk and Kim won i think 3&2.
  20. Well i went to the Exelon Invitational hosted by Jim Furyk today. Its held at The Ace Club. An amazing course, really gorgeous. The other 3 Jim had at the tourney were Kenny Perry, Paul Casey, and Anthony Kim. Really good 4some. I didnt follow the guys shot for shot. Kind of just went around and posted up on some different holes with good vantage points. On their 15th hole i believe it was a long par 3. AK got an ace. That was pretty cool cause I was standing right behind him on the tee. Then he proceeded to buy the gallery a beer. Which i then enjoyed even more. haha. all in all, a great Invitational hosted by Furyk.
  21. I would have to go with Driver: the new Srixon driver coming out Woods: Cleveland HiBore XLS 5 wood Hybrid: HiBore XLS 3i Irons: 3-6 Cleveland CG red 7-P CG Tour (mix the blades in there) wedges: 52* 56* 60* CG12 Putter: i'm up in the air on putters. I could be a bit biased.
  22. i'm going to x2 and agree with this. Love watching this tourney.
  23. 1 and 2 on purpose. i'm working on that. theres a few good ones. Beth, Iron Lakes, Southmoore, Green Pond.... EDIT: forgot about multi-quote. Fail for me.
  24. I agree there. Putting with an odyssey white hot is like using a pillow to putt. The new Cleveland VP putters are soft, but nowhere near as soft as the Odyssey.
