  1. I think it widens. Bad putters have more bad putts that get even worse. Overall dispersion gets bigger for both, but increases the bad putter’s number by more because it started larger.
  2. oops, sorry, was on my phone and didn't grab right info.... Latest Data on COVID-19 Vaccinations by Race/Ethnicity | KFF KFF is collecting and analyzing data on COVID-19 vaccinations by race/ethnicity to gain increased insight who is receiving the vaccine and whether some groups are facing disparities in vaccination. "As of this week, 75% of the adult population in the United States have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. While this progress represents a marked achievement in vaccinations that has led to steep declines in COVID-19 cases and deaths, vaccination coverage—and the protections provided by it—remains uneven across the country. With the continued spread of the more transmissible Delta variant, cases, hospitalizations, and deaths are rising, largely among unvaccinated people. While as of late July 2021, White adults accounted for the largest share (57%) of unvaccinated adults, Black and Hispanic people remain less likely than their White counterparts to have received a vaccine, leaving them at increased risk, particularly as the variant spreads." https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/covid-vaccine-tracker-global-distribution/us-vaccine-demographics.html
  3. Makes sense. Appreciate your insight.
  4. I use the shotbyshot app to calculate strokes gained and I believe he explains it that if you use a normal putting stroke, barely off the green then count it as a putt. If you are further off and deciding between chipping/pitching/putt and use a putter, that's a short game stroke. Like @iacassaid in the next post, it's a zero sum with short game and putting but that's how i think about it.
  5. maybe, but to your point they haven't studied it. It will be interesting to see how this plays out with the >100 employer mandates and passports for nyc/la etc. when there starts to be a potential disparate impact.
  6. Why, there's been just as long to study it as the vaccines.
  7. They have done a poor job explaining natural immunity. Fauci lacks 'firm answer' on COVID-19 natural immunity question Dr. Anthony Fauci said he did not have a "firm answer" when asked if natural immunity offered better protection...
  8. I’m not sure if it matters with him but I like your answer.
  9. Which swing you like better? Think he’s better off long term with new swing?
  10. Exactly and I think the whole thing about team chemistry is way overblown. It’s whoever plays well that match.
  11. The local sportscaster posted the card on twitter, it appears it was the red tees so i guess 68.6/121, She is a long hitter from what I understand so I assume this is a pretty short setup for her (4,891 yds). I don't know much about girl's golf though. But it does make me want to try those tees to see what I would shoot....not 60 😀.
  12. High school sophomore who plays at my club broke the state record in competition with a 12 under 60. Tolton's Audrey Rischer makes history at Helias Invitational It was a historic day at the annual Helias Girls Golf Invitational at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club. Father...
  13. 👍
  14. Played 9 holes last night and had about 70 yards to pin from a fairway bunker. Opened up my 50 degree edel and hit it just right to about 6 feet. Missed the birdie putt though.
  15. Gotcha. My mistake. It's definitely complicated to put a number on active cases etc. for when it's ok to put the masks away/ stop social distancing requirements etc..
  16. It keeps your face warm 😉 Ha. There were times I did appreciate that!
  17. Not sure cheering for the team of players representing your country in a friendly competition meets this definition but you can root for whoever you want. 🤷‍♂️
  18. yeah, all good points and i'm totally on board with the concept that different people are going to be at different comfort levels. If folks want to wear a mask this winter, even if covid is gone, might make sense. I have a friend who's son would be in a bad spot if he got it, so they are going to take different precautions than others. I think a lot of people are to the point they want to understand how this "ends" for folks who don't feel the same level of concern and when the risks are similar to other illnesses we already live with.
  19. Agree. And doesn’t hit it very far. This is what I did last time. Europe just seemed to have more like-able players in 2018. This year USA replaced Reed, Bubba, Phil, Fowler, Webb, and Tiger with Xander, Collin, Scheffler, English, Cantlay, and Berger. I used to not care for Cantlay, but that was all related to how long he took to pull the trigger on a shot. We'll see who Europe ends up picking as to who I will be rooting for, I can’t wrap my head around deciding every Ryder cup who you cheer for based on who is on the team and not your home country.
  20. Looks like you still get in a pretty decent path coming into the ball but yeah. Really cool views on that driving range.
  21. Agree. But playing devils advocate I assume you believe we should wear masks indefinitely to reduce deaths from covid along with other airborne transmitted viruses as well? Good point and I totally agree.
  22. There has to be an acceptance of risk and a new normal. The COVID-19 risk for vaccinated people is roughly equal to 'riding in a vehicle,' recent data suggest The COVID-19 risk for vaccinated people is roughly equal to 'riding in a vehicle,' recent data suggest
  23. I think most people are back to normal. College football is a good microcosm. Last year at this time there were 1/3 or so of the active cases and all kinds of restrictions and cancelled seasons. This year, packed stadiums. People got vaccinated (or not) and learned to understand and accept a certain level of risk and move on.
  24. Anyone else paying attention? I love watching team events in golf. Americans looked rough early but making a little comeback. Excited for Ryder cup soon, I’ll be there on the Friday and this is a fun watch to get in the team spirit.
