Since you haven't drank much I'd suggest bailey's (or any irish cream) on the rocks, white russians are good too. A great beer that I've been into lately is Dogfish Head 90 Minute Imperial IPA. It's so good, I think I'm gonna have one right now

Since your swimming about a mile a day you shouldn't have to add any more cardio work to your routine. I read in a golf magazine a few years back that boxing will work a lot of the same muscles you use for golf.

You're calling soccer boring then defending baseball? Have you ever watched baseball on TV? 30 minutes of play and 3 hours of watching the coaches sign to each other and scratch their nuts. I think baseball and soccer are similar in that you probably need to have played them to appreciate watching, but I still can't force myself to sit through a baseball game on TV. I really love going to the ballpark though.

It's not the norm by any means but it might work for your swing. Ben Hogan played like that, and he hit it pretty well

Soccer is extremely physical, and players on any national team are far from cup cakes. Power is very important in soccer but you also have to be able to play two 45 minute halves without stopping. FIFA rules allow 3 substitutions per game, add a stipulation like that to american football and the elite players would shrink considerably. Also I think that americans "hate" soccer because we can't dominate it, so most of the population here just snubs their nose at the world's most popular sport.

You've never played soccer have you.

Next time you shoot a bad score...

Which scores are yours??? -
If you don't make it through Q School can you still play in college? If yes, then I'd go for Q school. If trying Q school would make you ineligible for college golf I'd say go to college first and get some more high level tournament experience.

I record the number of putts, the length of the putt made, and the distance of my first putt if its outside 20 ft.

Dissapointed in Bridgestone Tour-B330RX

Care to elaborate on that a bit more. I'm fairly certain that a softer cover would always cause a loss of distance compared to a harder ball. In physics we did live ball/dead ball experiments and the live ball always had more momentum after a collision, I'm pretty sure the same laws of physics apply in this situation. I really don't see how a ball can have a layer to reduce driver sidespin, its not like they're putting gyroscopes in golf balls so they can differentiate between sidespin and backspin. A layer that reduces driver spin in general I can beleive though. If your a slicer and make two equivalent swings, a ball that spins less is going to have less sidespin and will slice less, and a ball that spins more is going to have more sidespin and slice more. -

I don't see how I'm wrong. The RX has less spin than the other B330 series balls, but he wasn't comparing it them. He said he likes the NXT Tour and e6 which both have surlyn covers, so I'm pretty sure they spin a bit less than the RX. -

They have a urethane cover so they're going to be shorter and will spin a lot more. If you have trouble controlling a slice or a hook the extra spin will make it even worse. Its within 100 yards of the hole that the extra spin will help you out. -
Does the range you go to have mats or grass?

I voted 11-30% when I hit the fairway. My home course has a 501 yard par 4 that plays into the prevailing wind. I've been able to hit it a few times, never made the putt though. One day I'll birdie that damn hole.

Lengthening and Regripping a Putter
Mathlete1123 replied to Knockglock's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
No difference in sound. The new grip makes my grip feel a lot more solid, and I'm a lot more comfortable standing over the ball because of the extra length. I also had it weighted (he put some tungsten powder down the shaft, then heated it so it would stay at the bottom) so it feels a lot different. -

Last week I had my putter extended an inch and had a new grip put on for 15 dollars total. -
My home course has some very thick rough, when I spray one out into the deep stuff I've been hitting a provisional in case I can't find my first drive. Today I did this and I found my first drive in an unplayable lie under a pine tree. I decided it would be better to take the full relief instead of dropping within two club lengths and trying hack it back towards the fairway. I just played out the hole with my provisional ball adding a two stroke penalty. My question is was it legal for me to play my provisional or should I pick the provisional and hit another from the tee box in this situation?

are there any exercises i can do to help my balance?

Practice swinging with your eyes closed. -
Ok, so I've always played off the rack clubs, but luckily I met a club fitter last week. I just ordered some new to me titleist 704.cb irons. (and a 983E driver ) My question isn't if I should get them fit for me but more when should I get fitted. Should I try playing with them for a couple weeks to get used to them, then go get fit, or should I take them straight to the clubfitter and just get it out of the way. He also said he does driver fittings. I understand that with irons you can adjust the loft/lie angles by bending them, but how can you fit a driver? Is it about lie angle adjustment or is it mainly about changing shafts out?

Under Armor Heatgear compression shorts and sleeveless shirt underneath whatever I'm wearing. They make it much more bearable.

Bridgestone B330 Balls
Mathlete1123 replied to ks8829's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
Where are you getting them for 35$ a dozen? I haven't seen them for less than 42$ per dozen around here. -
$100+ for a putter? What gives?
Mathlete1123 replied to powermatt99's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I think its a a mix of a status/mental thing, like buying a nice car or watch people will notice the headcover in your bag, and Tiger using a Cameron probably has something to do with it as well. Its easy to instantly be confident in a putter company that tiger's won 14 majors with, but IMO a ping anser will putt just as well and last just as long as any other putter out there provided you care for it properly. Also aren't most of the cameron designs just a slightly modified anser, they might make them a little differently but the designs about the same. -
A couple years ago in a golf magazine I read they actually had a tip suggesting you move up to the reds. They said that it would give you more of a low scoring mentality that you would take with you back to the longer tees.
