  1. Steeper swing is probably your best bet. Also, have you tried a softer ball (ProV1)? That could make a difference!
  2. Adam Scott is my favorite player, but I really love watching Ogilvy pull shots out of his ass. He is so fun to watch and under pressure, makes it even more exciting. I haven't figured out why I think this though, so don't take it the wrong way.. LOL
  3. Exactly, I as well will sing songs in my head or think about what I want for dinner or something funny that happened at school (in your case, at work) and just try to keep from thinking about the scores. Also, if you play through someone, don't feel rushed. Take your time, if you are even after 13, you definitely aren't a slow golfer. Don't worry!
  4. Especially football (to those that have seen that commercial).

    Ak!

I agree! He has such a nice (perfect?) swing and he is young as well so give him a few years and he will be a dominator!
  6. Hey guys, sorry about offending any of you. I thought it would just be a fun thread to have to just show some of Villegas' crazy styles he's shown on the tour. Just ignore this thread, I will work on getting it deleted!
  7. Give it some time, he will be right up there!!
  8. Well to all of you golfers that watch Villegas and have seen some of his clothing styles, this the perfect thread. Just post of pictures of your favorite style he has had... Here is mine: Blue top-white bottom.
  9. Played today and shot a 86 I 2 putt all but 4 greens which one was a 3 putt and had 3 doubles.. Just not my day I guess.. Although the weather here in NY was perfect. 70, sunny, no wind!
  10. Keep your gloves dry, feet dry, and grips dry.. And if you have an umbrella, yourself dry as best as possible! Also, keep yourself warm if the rain brings in cool weather!
  11. Draino when I'm messing around with my friends But when I am practicing ; I start at 3' and put 3 balls in. When I make them all I move to the next angle. Go all the way around 360* and then move to 5'.. Repeat steps until I run out of room pretty much
  12. DON'T try to kill it. The smoother you swing, the farther the ball goes (with woods).
  13. Chip it out for spin and land it halfway to the hole and let the slope the the rest.
  14. I would love to play that #1! LOL standing on that tee box would be... Well let's say intimidating..
  15. Get the CB's!! I have them and they are the best of both worlds! Shape your balls as easily as the MB's + you get more forgiveness!
  16. Great swing but it sort of looks like you are hopping up on your toes when you make contact with the ball with the driver.. Otherwise, great
  17. Try putting your left hanf thumb facing 1 o'clock and your right hand thumb facing 11 o'clock.. Not only will this help keep your drives dead strait, but it will give you a longer more consistent drive because this hand placement (11, 1 o'clock) helps keep the driver face on plain..
  18. Shorter par4. Alright drive to ~170 yards to the pin. Fat 6i to about 60 yards. 3/4 56* strait into the cup for birdie (didn't hit green, no bounce, nothing).
  19. If your bank can support it - go for it! Finishing under par in almost every tourney you have played in this year is solid! Good luck and keep at it!
  20. Actually luck is a big, and good, part of the game But one is my guess!
  21. I agree although I was with Tiger all the way. I just don't understand that these guys are tour pros, the best in the world, etc. And then when they get put up against Tiger they can't play for some reason. It just annoys me I guess because yes, I am a fan of Tiger, but seeing others go out and destroy the rest of the field is fun to watch. Doesn't always need to be Tiger
  22. Mickelson because he can hit a backwards shot ;) Lol but for real, Tiger.
  23. Main goal : Become a scratch golfer by the time I turn 17 (I am 16 now). Next : Get down to 22-26 putts a round. Next : Hit EVERY green in regulation. -I play everyday in the summer + school golf which is going on now so I think I can get it :)
  24. Okay I had the same issue at the beginning of the year but I fixed it with 2 easy steps. 1) Your left hand thumb - point it towards 1 o'clock on the shaft.. 2) Your right hand thumb - point it towards 11 o'clock on the shaft.. Obviously for lefties (like me) it is visa versa but hope it helps as it did to me! Special thanks ; Golf Tips Mag ;)
