I love the Wii, it has a great mixture of kids and grow up games. Its really fun if you buy the right games, Tigerwoods owns on the wii, if you like to drink with your buddies and play games get the wii. I have a 7 year old and a wife so the wii is great. If i want to seriously play games i go on my computer.

I hit one at a demo day and loved it. I've got the Mp600, and love it as well. but the mx700 is alot better for drilling the ball strait as a pin. MP600 is more of a control club.

Yeah I was bored and hit the MX300 I was really impressed, great looks and performance was top notch I would have to get them bent 1-2 degrees stronger though, -
Anyone else HATE trying and buying new balls?
sp33d replied to enis750's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
No one hates top flite as much as I do. NO ONE! I dont even pick them up if I find them they have bad juju. But I said screw it their $20, and seriously for $20 they rock. Around the greens they are like a 1X with the roll and spin (not as much spin but close) They feel nice and soft off the irons. I do not like them off the driver I dont know just seems like their harder to control. Probably just in my head. I get my ProV's for free, so thats what I play. I've played every ball on the market, really nothing (IMO) compares, i played with some Nike One Tours and they were nice as well but my wedge ate them to crap. TM Red/blacks are just ok, I dont like them around the greens. Calloway Tour-i are my 2nd choice they grab greens really nice. but for the price Ill stick with my ProV's -

Driver Vs. 3 wood, having a hard time...
sp33d replied to sp33d's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
The driver has always been the bain of my game, Sure I can crush balls, etc etc, but I've always struggled with accuracy, give me an iron and a target 9/10 Ill hit it. I have my old Nike SQ2 driver, Both are very basically same flex. I stopped using the nike because I was slicing it horribly. Went to the mizuno got rid of my slice completely, but about 2-3 weeks ago it stopped working for me. Prior to that I was avg 270 yards, dead nuts straight to a slight fade. I feel my 3 wood comes around faster in my swing than my driver does, but it maybe because of the sound my 3 wood makes opposed to my driver. I need to video tape my swing badly, but I dont have digital hook ups to my camcorder, and my phone doesnt take that great of video to actually analyze something from it. The other problem is when I'm at the range it seems to disapeer, and I'm back to smacking balls down the center of my target line. So, I'm not sure it would even do any good. I would say my 3 wood is roughly 2-3 times smaller than my driver (and other peoples 3 woods) But the shaft is only about an inch shorter, I choke up on it. I've tried choking up on my driver as well but has no impact where my ball goes. -
Driver Vs. 3 wood, having a hard time...
sp33d replied to sp33d's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
This is just a recent thing, when i got the driver a couple months ago I could do no wrong. Now its just "why is this in my bag" I think its something in my head, or something stupid Im doing and not noticing. My handicap reflects my rediculous short game skills not that of my driving. I'm an godly scrambler :) It's just frustrating me, I dont know what I'm doing. the rest of my game is fine, its just my stupid driver. -
I've been racking my brain what I'm doing wrong. So last 3 times I've went golfing I start using the driver and say screw it and go back to my 3 wood. Tracked by GPS not yardage makers. Driver- 230yards 222 236 288 (only good drive) Most of these except the last one were SKY high! No slice/hook. 3wood- 242 257 248 All nice and low penetrating ball flight. I have mess around with tee heights, thats not it. Too low I top it, to high I go under it, in the middle I still pop it up. So why would I be hitting my 3 wood better than my driver. I swing the same, I set up the same. I dont know but it really frustrating me, and wrecking my game!

lol im 27, I'm in good shape. If I walk 18 holes I'm damn near dead at 18th tee. Mostly because the courses I play are extremely hilly, and I refuse to take a cart.
-
Oddly enough it was my drive. Playing at an event, it was an a raised tee box, it happend to be the longest drive hole. 368yds, I just crushed it (and I was trying to) and it was probably 350yds of carry the ball didnt roll much. I got a little award :( it sits in my office.

I listen to my iPod when at the range once in a while, it helps me with tempo. I've got a 30gb Video, but I usually use my blackberry so I dont have to carry 2 things with me.

Course professionals are almost worse. But yes, I witness this almost every time I take my self to the range. Usually some old guy with a Titleist hat, a worn out old polo and some pleated khakis that should have been thrown out years ago, Oh and the all white new balances, some times with Velcro. Now thats a stereotype! Couple weeks ago, I encountered one of these "people" I was working on hitting draws with my driver. This is something I struggle with and have been working on a lot this year. So I'm duffing drives nothing terrible, like 200 yards out and yanking the ball left. So "old dude" gently walks over to me at a safe distance and watches me swing. This annoyed me enough, more or less because I knew what was coming. "Your stance is to closed, thats why your hitting left" I being the nice guy I am "Thanks but I'm working on hit my draw" Old dude comes back with, "Oh, well then, you mind if I see a regular swing?". I agree and blast one about 290ish hitting the back fence, perfectly strait with the slightest fade. I'm thinking this will shut him up, nope. "It might help you if you transfer more weight to your front foot" Really? are you serious? I'd love to see this old guy hit half my distance... GRRR. I went over to the putting greens to get away.

yeah i found them interesting until I borrowed one from the club house and took it to the practice green it took exactly 3 balls for me to shake my head and walk it back to the club house.

Blackberry bold user looking at GPS Greenfinder

I would say 10.5 is the most common, but yeah get your self on a monitor. I went from a 9.5 to a 10.5 and hit 60% more fairways. I've given up distance, but I'm never hitting behind trees. And by giving up distance I'm talking 10 yards on avg...

Ok, I swear I made a thread last week about this but could not find it... But now I have a review! Well, I have been playing around with tons of diffrent Golf GPS apps for blackberry. GreenFinder, etc etc. So the golflogix for the Storm just came out last week, So I bought it. 39.99 yearly. What it does- Tracks yardage (duh) Tracks distance of clubs (manually, but only one button) Fairway's hit, G.I.R., Chips and sands (saves) and Putts. (also manual but easy) Keeps your score. The good: The GUI is very nice and clean, gives you multiple distances, to carry, lay up, and green front back and center. It looks very nice, it tracks clubs distances (other apps require add ons) it uploads to their website for viewing, scores and stats. It's pretty cheap, 39.99 gives you unlimited downloads of courses. Its very accurate, I tested it against and uPro my buddy has. Battery life isnt bad, 9 holes my battery went down a bar and a half (5 bars total on my phone) Others I have used would drain it by the end of the first 9. The bad: The operation and buttons take a bit to get used to. many of the buttons are very small. Some things are just a bit confusing, where you "touch" your screen or click your screen, you figure it out quickly though. Overall, if you have a smart phone its worth it. Supports: iPhone, Blackberry Storm, Curve (must have gps enable, depends on carrier) Tour, and bold, and the HTC touch Pro.

I'm a fan of the Mx2's, their perfect golf cigar.

Sorry I thought you meant they would cover 25K of it. I miss read. Nissan makes some quality cars, and they are not slouches. Evo/WRX STi wouldnt be a bad choice at that price range if you want "fast". Their both high on the maintenance if you really drive them. the new Taurus SHO looks like its going to be sweet but not with a pricetag of close to 40k.

What are your SW and LW lofts and bounce angles?
sp33d replied to Sheekamoo's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
52* 11* 56* 11* 60* 12* Just standard. -
Truth! I've had mine since the beginning of the season and some how its still white. I also use UnderArmour gloves too, they are super thing and super tacky, even on those really hot days with 100% humidity. But FJ gets my vote.

I dont have a favorite, but the PX5.5 fit my swing better.

Say NO! to gps/yardage computers
sp33d replied to Topanga's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I have one, I dont use it unless I'm playing blind on a new course. It's a tool, like a brush, divet tool, etc. Golf is a game of tradition, its also a game of innovation and progress. If golf didnt evolve it would die. Do you think anybody in this day and age would use a poorly made iron head attached to a hickory shaft with nothing more than a leather shoe string for a grip? Get a grip, any person playing pro golf has a "CADDY" you may have heard of them... they walk out yardages, walk greens, make detailed maps of the course. They tell the player what yardage they are hitting from, whens the last time you saw a player not ask for yardage? It our way of having a caddy with out paying some one 100k to walk courses for us, tell us carry distances, how far to the back of the green. So I guess tour pros should also get rid of the caddy's because its unsporting, i mean after all their telling them yardage? I'd also like to get rid of my groves, my super lite bag, my "highly" computer designed balls, clubs, shoes. So go throw on your wool sport coat, derby hat and wool pants on a 90 degree day and have your some fun ol' chap! I'm sure it will be a bully day.
